IT'S ALL GOOD. The turn around is coming, I can feel it.
1-1 ATS yesterday +0.5 units
Day game:
Roll with me on the dbacks/padres under 7 1/2. Two quality pitchers with talent and I don't think after last night's game we see a big number today. Dbacks are hot and the Pads got their ace. I can't see a high score today.
Roll with me on under 7 1/2
Petit/Peavy must go
2 units

Diego under still pending...here's my play for tonight:
I'm on the Giants under tonight for a number of reasons. I have two plays tonight and I was torn on which one to drop. I want to play 3 tonight and I'm riding the 10-oh$ BP with my two.
Here's why I like the under tonight:
Pitchers:
Zito...I know terrible 1'st half right? Well...did you know?
**He is 9-3 SU in the 2006 and 2005 in the Month of August.
**He has won his first start in August in 6 of the 7 years he pitched as a starter.
**Barry Zito owns the best 2H record in baseball among active pitchers since 2004.
**The guy is 7-10 and always throws well 2nd half. Against a team that they hate, it should add fuel to his motivation. I think he throws well enough to keep us looking good going into the late games. (And yes, I like the Giants again tonight as a doggie)
Tomko's last 3 starts:
07/15 @SF 1 0 0 5.0 4 1 2 3
07/20 NYM 0 0 0 6.0 5 0 1 3
07/28 @COL 0 1 0 6.0 7 5 4 4
Pitched very well @ San Fran and blanking the Mets for 6 innings. He gave up 5 @ Coors but who doesn't?
Tomko has revenge on his mind. He used to be a Giant and he isn't very fond of Barry.
Tomko is smart...in 22 at bats against barry he has allowed 1 homer (well above Barry's career 1 HR per 9.2 plate appearances) and walked the man 12 times.
In Tomko's last 3 starts all 3 games cashed on the under with none going over 8.
TRENDS:
**Let's start with the hammer...95% of the public is on the over and the line has gone down since it opened.
**The two teams have gone under in 2 of the last 3 (with last night a loss that should have been an under)
MY LOGIC:
Bonds is still in a funk...the rest of the Giants can't hit......Dodgers are also not hitting well outside of Coors....Tomko wants to nail the Giants tonight after his departure (he wanted to stay)...I think Zito starts his 2H dominance again tonight and we see a motivated Tomko try to match him. Even though the Giants bully blew it last night and the Dodgers haven't looked good, the hatred of the rivalry and the spice of Bonds will make the game anti climactic.
3 UNITS ON SAN FRAN UNDER 9 1/2 -115
Other play:
Roll with me on Houston +150 @ Atlanta. I know Houston is terrible and the Braves now have a stronger team after trading, but I think this is a clasic let down game. The Stros bats still have potential (Berkman has 3 dingers in 3 games) and Reyes is not a quality pitcher in the action I've seen. Throw in the fact that the Braves middle relief and back end are still unproven and we should see fireworks tonight. I'll take the vet and his gaudy record against the Bravos (From CBS: Williams, however, won 1-0 in Pittsburgh on July 22 after going 0-5 with a 6.09 ERA in his previous six starts away from home. He's 4-1 with a 2.21 ERA in eight career starts against the Braves - his best ERA against any team he has faced more than once.)
Stros have great value tonight and the over looks good too but I think it's a sucker bet.
ROLL WITH ME ON HOUSTON +150
Risking 1.5 units
My card:
San Fran +120..3 units
Houston +150...1.5 units
BP's Play....2 units
all 3 hooked up for .5 units
Good luck boys..hit em straight.

+4.55 units on the week.
See ya tonight...BP..keep smokin..the two play system is smoking this week$$$$

Let me give full props to BP. Sure a 11 game run sounds good, but not if they're all -150 to -200. THEY'RE NOT! All of these games are in the -120 to -135 range. To pick 11 in a row at that line is nothing short of phenomenal.
BP's picks are keeping me afloat in my period of ineptitude.
For those who still live in Mom's basement, that means I suck.

I'll skip Yovanni but you guys know I love that cat. I'll be on him tonight.
Anyways..here's my card:
1.) Small play on the Brewers under. Kendrick is getting better and better and Gallardo is this year's Liriano. I'll tell ya right now, this play scares the bejesus out of me..But if they can pull off 3 out of 4 going under in Philly's sand box, I expect to get a shot at it here. I have Howard and Gallardo on Fantasy teams and I've watched a lot of the Phillies lately. Their bullpen has settled down and their bats have exploded. Howard has been a fantasy monster since coming off the DL but last time I checked he had 10 K's in his last 15 at bats.
I have to roll the under even though stats and trends say the over is the play. Let's go Yovanni and Kyle, get me an under. And Brew CREW BULLPEN>>>DON'T F$*K it up.
1.5 units on my boy Yovanni and his brew crew going under with Howard and the Phils
1.5 units on under 9 1/2 -115
BEST BET:
ROLL WITH ME ON OVER 8 1/2 in the Reds/ Pirates tilt.
Let's start with Trends:
The over is 7-2-1 ATS on the year in this series.
The first game went under yesterday. They haven't had back to back unders in this series all year.
My take:
Ian Snell is done. He's lost his last 4 with the team giving up 5,8,5, and 9 runs respectively in his last 4. He hasn't seen any run support and the Pirates will try to correct that tonight against Belisle, a guy they usually hit well. IF you don't like playing totals give the Reds side a dip as a doggie, they should hit as well. But Back to snell, he's lost his last 4. And he's a good home pitcher but right now I see arm fatigue. The Reds haven't scored more than 3 runs in their last 5 games, that offense is too explosive to lay off for that long.
Look at these sick numbers on Belisle vs the pirates from CBS:
Belisle should be happy to be starting against the Pirates for the third time this season and fourth in his career. He's 2-0 with a 0.86 ERA in three starts against Pittsburgh, and allowed two runs and nine hits over 15 innings in two outings in 2007.
However..don't believe the hype this time. Belisle hasn't won in more than two months and with the Reds bully gettin jacked more than a Jenna Jamison fluffer, you gotta take the over tonight.
My "posted" card tonight:
Reds over 8 1/2...2 units
BP's play/Milwaukee ML/Reds over parley .5 units
Pick ride BP: 2 units
Milwaukee under 9 1/2...1.5 units
GL boyz.

Banging day yesterday:
My "posted" card tonight:
Reds over 8 1/2...2 units WIN +2 Units
BP's play/Milwaukee ML/Reds over parley .5 units WIN +2.3 Units
Pick ride BP: 2 units WIN +2 units
Milwaukee under 9 1/2...1.5 units Win +1.5 units
I don't count pickrides on my record:
Yesterday: 3-0 ATS on mine +5.8 units
Week 18 record up to date: 7-2 ATS +10.35 units
6-0 ATS in the last 6 and hit consecutive 3 team parleys.
THanks for the nice words and about time I did my job. I was in a little funk there for a bit.

Here's my best bet for Saturday day:
Let's roll on the over in the Texas game.
NUMBERS:
**Marcum's ERA is a full 2 points higher at home than on the road (4.88 compared to 2.58 on the road.)
**Toronto has outscored their opponents 41-9 in the last 6 games. An aveage of close to 7 runs per game.
**In their last 7 games the Rangers are giving up close to 7 runs per game.
MY logic: Mike Wood gets called up to face the hot bats of the Jays. No Gagne takes away from the bullpen. Marcum is a quality pitcher who throws a good forkball, but Texas isn't going to get blanked today. I'm hoping the big total is the reason we see the field split on the over/under. But I have to roll the over. My gut tells me the 4'th,5'th, and 6'th inning are gonna be the moneyball for the Jays bats and the Rangers will cover for us later in the game.
I can't see Wood and Marcum getting locked up in a pitcher's duel. Both lineups have quality hitters and neither team's bullpen impresses me.
Good luck, I'm rollin small on the over today and I"ll have my GOM tomorrow and one or two tonight.
ROLL WITH ME ON TEXAS/TORONTO over 9
1.5 units for me...
Keep rollin BP...the TeamFLA system is slaying this week$$$$

All right, we hit the day game earlier to improve on the good week. Here's my night card for ya:
BEST BET: Dodgers under8 1/2 (take it down to 7 1/2 if you have too)
Hernandez/Lowe must go.
Numbers:
**In 4 games this year in the series @ LA...the scores have been 9-1, 2-1,2-0, and 1-0. A solid average of 4 runs per game..yes 4 runs per game.
**The pub is 88% on the over and the line is dropping.
**I hate Derek lowe more than almost anyone..and I'm counting on him tonight..that alone speaks volumes.
**Dbacks have been smoking and their bullpen has been wonderful. I want to say 1 earned run in the last 19 innings.
My logic: Hot Dbacks playing a team trying to catch them. These two NL West rivals traditionally keep it low at Chez Ravine..aka Dodger Stadium. With two vets like Livan and Derek toeing the hill, I don't see big innings coming out of either offense. Seems to be too easy to me with all the trend data supporting an under.
ROLL WITH ME ON LA DODGERS under 8 1/2 -115
2.5 units for me.
Play #2:
Doggie time again.
Roll with me on Seattle +140 @ home against the Red Sox.
Matsuzaka (the 55 million man) vs. Washburn.
Did you know the Red Sox have lost 9 straight at Safeco? Did you know the M's have one of the best records in MLB and a huge homefield advantage at Safeco.
I will back the Mariners today as eveyone will see Matsuzaka (know DiceK in my vernacular) and the Mighty Red Sox and think they will feast on Washburn. I don't see it. The Mariners are legit and they have an equally impressive lineup that has been getting it done lately. This should be a phenomenal game and one I'm looking forward too.
Roll with me on Seattle +140 ML
Washburn/Matsuzaka must go
1.5 units wagered for me.
Play #3:
I'm going back to the well in Cincy. I'll take the Pirates/Reds to go over 9 1/2 +100.
I used to be high on Livingston but a twenty just doesn't get it done. The kid looked good at the start but now is fading mightily. Matt Morris flys across the country after telling his family..no really, You'll love Pittsburgh. Going from one last place team to another..where's the motivation for the old timer? Bucs bats should torch Livingston and the shoddy Reds pen, while Cincy will look to take the Bucs in back to back nights.
Roll with me on Cincy over 9 1/2 +100....
1.5 units
GL tonight
Posted Plays:
Cincy over 9 1/2...Risking 1.5 to win 1.5 units
Dbacks under 8 1/2...risking 2.8 units to win 2.5
Seattle ML +140...risking 1.5 units to win 2.1 units
My 3 teamer tonight for a 1/2 unit (will count on record)
Philly (Hamel) -145....Detroit (Bonderman) -160......Dbacks under 8 1/2 -115
Good luck boyz.

2-2 ATS yesterday (won rangers over, cincy over, lost Zona under, Seattle)
Week 18 record up to date: 9-4 ATS +8.35 units
Game of the Month:
Roll with me on Dan Haren and the Oakland A's ML -110 today against Lackey and the Angels.
The Athletics traditionally heat up in August and this is a great rivalry. I like Oakland to build on yesterday's win with Blanton as the best pitcher in the AL takes the hill today against another All Star.
ROLL WITH ME ON OAKLAND ML
3.5 Units..Game of the month
That's all I got..good luck today.
