  2. After 18 weeks, we are down to our final four the MLB handicapping contest.

Our first semi final pits the #2 and #3 seeds going at. Out of New York, Slam has been consistent enough to stay and hover around the top for most of the contest. My boy GoCubsGo22 out of Chi Town, is a streaky player who will either win by a landslide this week or lose by a landslide.

In our other Semi Final..the unknown Newman12 who put a phenomenal number in the prelims, is going against the every day warrior out of TeamPA..Hilly. Newman has been a buzzsaw all year but Hilly can make it all come crashing down with a win this week in the Semi's.

The two winners will play for 1'st week next week and the two losers to 3rd. Let's congratulate these four for being the final 4 our MLB handicapping contest. Nice work fellas and good luck the rest of the way out.

  3. congrats to those making the final four in the challenge

PC, is it just me, or is it mathematically impossible for hilly to overtake newman.

Hilly would need 4 +280 games (which you hardly ever see) and Newman would need to lose 4 -280 games.

It's now head to head Southern. Both start back at 0 from the way I read it. :D

  6. Cut and paste from the rules

After Week 12, the field will be cut down to the best 6 unit totals CTD (Contest to Date).

After Week 17, the field will be cut down to the best 4 unit totals CTD (Contest to Date) Important to note..we do not reset records after any cut. All records are based on YTD totals in the contest.

Week 18 will start a head to head final four based on seedings. The #1 overall handicapper YTD will face the #4 handicapper YTD and the #2 handicapper will face the #3 handicapper YTD.

Week 19 of MLB will be the finals and 3rd place game.

Notice the "will start" and the "head to head".....hope that helps.

Nice job in the contest...Go get em next year everyone.

    GL fellas..

  7. Take the Phils going behind their ace today. They are smoking the ball offensively and the cubs arent great against lefties
