PC 7588 Week 16 Picks
Worst week of the year in MLB for me as I paid my man over 2K last week. First losing week in awhile but still torqued. let's roll this week:
Week 16 ATS: 1-0 (Hit on under in all star break) +2.0 Units
Play #1: Roll with me on yanks over 9
Pettite/Shields must go.
When I first looked at this game I liked the under with my boy Mr. No Run Support jamie Shields taking the hill, but after digging, I switched my play. In every game this year, the two have gone over 10 runs and have averaged 12.2 per game.
Pettite and Shields are good, but the offenses seem to do well against the opponent. Let's throw in the fact that the Yanks get a fresh start to the 2nd half and should look to mow on offense. The Drays are scrappy and should get a few against Andy, but I really expect the Yanks to be focused to start the 2nd half. There will be no august if they don't start playing in July and that means offense. Their bully is good but touchable unlike past years. And you want to talk about bad bullpens, the Drays are terrible. I watched my Royals light them up like a christmas tree twice before the break.

Seattle/Detroit under 8 1/2. As predicted, the Mariners are a tough out this year and are 2 1/2 back of the Halos to start the 2nd half. This is the same team that won 8 in a row before the All Star break at home. This is the same pitcher who has been unhittable in his last 2 starts in King Felix. I love the M's this year and Como's going to be paying me big cash since he bet me the M's wont finish above 500% this year. Anyways, both pitchers are doing great, Miller looking very impressive with a big win over the Red Sox on the road in his last start out. Both bullpens are strong with the M's being dominant. I can't see this total hitting 9 in a pitcher's park with two teams who have good bullpens.

good start to the week..lost the parley because of the O's bad pitching but hit the other 2 straight plays.
Week 16 3-1 ATS +4 units
(2-1 ATS yesterday...+2 on Seattle under, +1 on Yanks over, -1 on 3 teamer)
I'm passing on the Cards game. Something tells me the Stros might pull the upset but I'm staying away.

Play#1: Roll again on the under in Seattle. Bonderman and Washburn will keep it low for us in Seattle. This could very well be a playoff preview and it looks to me that Jarrod gets up for the big game this year. He can be dominant (God I know that sounds funny but look at his starts this year.)
We all know Bonderman can pitch and after last night's pitcher's duel I think we see another one tonight.

I'm all over the White Sox tonight. I saw the pitching matchup and expected the Sox to be favored but I'll take the juice. That O's bullpen is shaky and Buehrle should show he's worth his new contract tonight against an O's offense that is either hit or miss. I can't see the Sox not winning this game even though Baltimore throws their ace on the hill. The Sox bats seem to have woken up with the team winning 10 of it's last 15 games. I'll take Buehrle anyday getting juice against a second tier team.

3 units to win 3.9 for me.

Got a little worked last night
Week 16:
4-3-1 ATS +1.55 Units
(1-2-1 ATS yesterday...won Wash +1.55, pushed Seattle under, lost Chicago -3 units, lost 2 teamer -1 unit...overall-2.45 units)
Back later with a play..slammed at work right now. Damn Grand Slam killed Seattle and Bedard pitched a gem against the Sox. Bully gave us a chance but Chi Town couldn't capitalize.

In the day games I'm rollin on Roy and the Stros. I know the Cubs are hot and seem to be on fire, but I'll still take Oswalt over Lilly at this line. The high total suggests that the game is going to have some dingers. In a straight pitching matchup, I'll take the entire Stros bullpen over the Cubs anyday. I think the batting is a push and I think Oswalt is the better starter. Might be a sucker bet but I'm on Houston to start the day.

Lost on Stros..here's my card tonight:

Oakland +105 for 2 units
Mets over 9 for 1 unit (-115)
BEST BET: Seattle under 9 1/2 -115...3 units
thoughts:
Blanton will break the 5 game losing streak.
Both offenses in Met's game have the ability to go deep. Reds Pen is garbage.
BEST BET: Played the first 2...the 3rd looks the best at 9 1/2. Can't see 10 with these two on the hill.
