PC'S PLANS FOR COLLEGE HOOPS 07-08

Hey Fellas,

Just wanted to update everyone on my plans for college hoops this year..namely the Big XII and Missouri Valley. Sundaybreak gave me a good piece of advice when TeamFLA went to ballinpicks. His advice was to let people know WHAT I was doing and WHY I am doing it.

Let me start by saying I will always be a poster on Gotpicks in something. I have received a nice offer to sell my plays for a service in college hoops. One I worked for back in the late 90's. Anyways, I will still post Mo Valley Games on GP and Big XII games on GP..but only 1 a week. Starting with the college season I will have my plays available for purchase.

Don't hate on me, I'll still post, but to a much lesser extent on GP come hoops season. Anyone else would accept this offer and GP has plenty of great cappers, you don't need my picks to succeed. If your interested in receiving my plays for the upcoming college season I will offer a discount from this site for GP players. It will not be by email but log in to site. In addition, the service offers all site access so you will not only see my plays but also some very talented college and pro football handicappers. I worked with these guys back in the day and they run a great option for those who choose to find picks elsewhere.

Just wanted to let everyone know what my future plans were so I wouldn't get the haters come college hooops season.

That's all I got. As always I wish all of you the best of luck and I will post Mo Valley and Big XII plays (1 a week each) during the season.

Good luck this year and if you have any questions drop me a line.

PC's Pre Season top 5's:

Missouri Valley:

#5: Wichita State: They lost their coach, their starting big man, and their best reserve but the Shockers still have enough in the stable to challenge for an NIT bid.

#4: Indiana State: Yes, the Sycamores are going thru changes too but they were one of the best ATS teams in the valley last year. In addition, the team plays SIU defense and seemed to tire at the end of the season. With one of the top recruiting classes in the Valley, I see Indiana State approaching the 18 to 20 win category in what should be a wacky Valley this year.

#3: Creighton: They kept Altman which is good enough for me to put them at 3. He is one of the best, if not the best coach at Creighton and my former alum has a nice supporting cast to replace Dantzler and Nate Funk. This team will surprise early and be over matched late.

#2: SIU: Again, a traditionally strong team. They lost their top 3 scorers but this team reminds me of the Denver Broncos running game. Just plug in talent and the system will take care of the rest. Losing MVP Jamaal Tatum and Falker will hurt, but they have capable players waiting in the wings.

#1: Northern Iowa. The twin 7 footers came into their own last year but inexperience played a key. With all 5 returning starters and the big inside presence, this team will have lots of chances to turn in a 23+ win season.

I have Northern Iowa as the cream of the Valley crop this year and my odds on favorite to TCOB this year in the Valley.

Big XII:

#5: Texas Tech: Knight has a good nucleaus with Dora finally departing. Get your guns up will get in the dance this year.

#4: Oklahoma: The Sooners are on the rise again and I think they have enough returning talent to put a scare into any South team. Everyone will be chasing Kansas but I see OU getting some big upsets this year.

#3: Missouri: My surprise team in the XII. The 2nd year coach has a new mindset in Columbia with the old UAB pressure 40 minutes of hell. This team was very young last year. I am going to be hammering the mizzou over early in the year and will play on them as dogs in the XII early in the year. THis team is loaded on the wings and if they can find a playmaker to run the #1 slot, this team will be NCAA bound.

#2: Texas: Horns are up and at em again, even without durant. They got shocked by the Trojans in the dance, but this team will be even faster without Durant. I love DJ Augustine as my pre season Conference player of the year (Yes, over all of my beloved Jayhawks) and the way he runs the point this year will make him a lottery pick in the near future.

#1: Rock Chalk Jayhawk: Are you kidding me? They will be the pre season #1 in the country. Returning the starting 5, 4 of 5 role players will be back, and they have 2 mcdonald's all americans coming on board. My only concern is over confidence and seeing if the new acquisitions jell with the vets. Russel Robinson is a concern at point but just way too much talent. THe Jayhawks should go over 30 wins this year and will be in the national title hunt all year.

On the way down:

A and M..no Gillespie means recruiting is a shambles. Losing Acie Earl doesn't help either.

Okie STate...team is in serious trouble. The older Sutton used to get by with great JUCO transfers, Sean Sutton isn't such a good recruiter and wants to go after undergrad players..this spells doom for the Cowboys. It will be sad to see this team struggle this year.

Colorado...I don't think they will win 10 games this year. That team is one of the worst in college hoops and hopefully a coaching change will get them where they need to be.

Take care fellas, I've been banging hoops for about a month now getting ready for the season. I hope you all have a great rest of the MLB season and I will be on GP for college hoops, but in a limited capacity.

Hit em straight

Chris
