PC7588 Week 15 Picks
Finished last week in the postive but tailed off at the end. Lost about a unit on Sunday. Anyways..new week, let's roll.
MONDAY:
BEST BET:
Roll with me on Felix and The Mariners against Kansas City Tonight. Looks like a trap, but I'm not biting. Yes, Felix has had some troulbe, yes they have a new manager, but that doesn't matter.
Meche will want to beat his old team and prove a point, but the M's have a desire to keep the winning streak alive and give their new skip a "W." Felix is 2-0 against the Royals in two starts lifetime with an ERA under 2.10. I think the Royals will give them a game tonight but after watching the White Sox series, I don't see my team being able to compete tonight. Guillen and Suzuki have feasted on Meche with great career numbers. The young bats of the Royals (Gordon, Teahan, Shealy, Butler and German will all have trouble tonight.
Felix gets back on track against my boys.

I'll take Smoltz against Lowe all day. I just hope the Braves bullpen can hold the lead. Lowe has been lit up against the Braves bats and this is a big game for both teams. Everyone wants to close strong before the All Star break and Smoltzie usually throws well in Cali. I'm rollin on Smoltzie to TCOB over Lowe who usually has trouble with the Braves.

Are you kidden me? I'm rollin Boof +170 @ New York against the Rocket. Twins are playing great ball almost sweeping a 4 game set at Detroit. If Boof can keep them in the game until they take Rocket out, I like my chances. The value here is great as Yanks nation continues to give us good juice fading the pinstripes.

I love the under in this one. DeLaRosa is hit or miss but I think he will pitch well tonight. You saw how good the bullys were last night. Let's hope it continues tonight.

July 4'th GAME OF TE WEEK:
ROLL WITH ME ON DETROIT UNDER 9 1/2...Game of the week.
4 units.
Westbrook/Rogers must go.
Groundball jake vs a gritty gambler. I'll take the bully for Detroit as well as they can match up against the potent Tribe lineup late in the game. I expect Westbrooke to be his ground ball mastery self tonight. He usually pitches well in big games and this is a huge one before the break. Probably the best series to watch before we get hung out to dry on Sunday.
Anyways..I'm on this nice sized.

I love the matchup and think the pub will hammer the Yanks as they always do. Twins are a quality team and they should be able to get it done against Igawa. Lean on the bullpen is obviously with the Twinkies.

Worst week of the year but I'm still pluggin this week. Unless I can sweep out I'm gonna be paying the man this week so beware..

3 units on Guthrie to get it done for me tonight. I love this cat (and yes I'm a homer I have him on about 3 fantasy teams) but numbers don't lie. He pitches well and he works sooo fast that batters don't have much of a chance to "catch up with his mechanics" by their 2nd or 3rd at bat. Guthrie and the O's have cost me money recently but I love this pick em line. I'll give him one more ride before the All Star break.

Notes on this game:
The O's bullpen seems to have settled down and Ray has looked good enough to get it done lately.
Guthrie's Numbers from CBS:
Guthrie, who ranks second in the AL in ERA, didn't issue a walk and struck out seven in his first defeat since April 24. He has lasted at least six innings in his last 11 starts and is 3-0 with a 2.56 ERA in 10 road games - including five starts - holding opponents to a .180 batting average.
Loe has been pitching lights out lately. I think he gets lit up tonight because he's just not that good.
GL BOYZ...I hope to rebound for ya in Week 16.
On a side note, beware the Valley next year...tons of new coaches...42 graduated starters are gone...Mo valley MVP and 4 of 5 members from the All MVC team are out of the conference. There is going to be a lot of change..but I tell you what...there are 4 teams that are going to be there come NCAA selection sunday. They might not all be in the big dance..but you'll be surprised who I'm high on early this year in hoops.
Sorry..I was going to a happy place after this terrible week.

Bad day yesterday..lets get it together today.
