Took yesterday off and went 1-1 on Thurs posts so record now 15-10 since keeping track June 19th. I like 3 games today picking 1 favorite and 2 dogs.
1) Yankees (-160) - Yankees are 5-1 in last 6 starts and Mets are 4-21 in game 2 of a series. Ginter got shelled against the Yankees last time going 3 innings giving up 7 earned runs. Last 3 starts Contreras is 2-1 with 2.95 era and Ginter is 0-2 with 10.22 era.
2) D-Rays (+145) - Tampa is 7-1 in Zambrano's last 8 starts and team is 9-1 in last 10 road games. Marlins are 3-7 in last 10 games. Zabrano is 2-0 with 2.70 era last 3 starts. Getting great value with Tampa at +145.
3) Orioles (+140) - Orioles are 5-1 in last 6 road games and Plilly is 2-5 in Millwood's last 7 starts. Bedard is 2-0 with a great era of .84 in last 4 starts. This is another great value game with Bedard pitching great. Game yesterday went 16 innings so starters need to go deep into the game.
Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend and lets make some money!!

NY YANKEES (50 - 26) at NY METS (38 - 39): Play On The New York Yankees -147 3 7/3/2004 12:20:00 PM
Saturday, 7/3/2004 JOSE CONTRERAS (R) vs. MATT GINTER (R). Contreras and Ginter heading in different directions over their last 3 starts. Not going to go crazy with the Yankees at this price but will make a 2.75% play as I like the Yanks to bounce back Saturday.
LOS ANGELES (40 - 36) at ANAHEIM (41 - 37): Play On The Over 9 3 7/3/2004 9:05:00 PM
Saturday, 7/3/2004 EDWIN JACKSON (R) vs. BARTOLO COLON (R). This is a 3% Play.
SEATTLE (32 - 45) at ST LOUIS (46 - 32): Play On The St Louis Cardinals -147 3 7/3/2004 3:05:00 PM
Saturday, 7/3/2004 RYAN FRANKLIN (R) vs. JASON MARQUIS (R). Another match-up where we have two pitchers heading in opposite directions over their last 3. Mariners also having trouble putting runs on the board this season and will continue to sturggle Saturday. Will make a smaller play with the favored Cardinals as Franklin is just putting to many runners on base. Take the Cardinals as a 2.5% Play.
CLEVELAND (38 - 39) at CINCINNATI (42 - 36): Play On The Over 10 -120 4 7/3/2004 6:10:00 PM
Saturday, 7/3/2004 SCOTT ELARTON (R) vs. PAUL WILSON (R). Elarton 26-10 Over vs winning teams since 97' and the Reds are 12-3 Over vs a pitcher who strikes out less than 3 batters per start this season. Wilson tailing off over his last three starts with an ERA of 5.78. Elarton has been better over his last three starts with an ERA of 3.37 but still carries a season ERA of 8.53. Take this one Over as a 3.5% Play.
DETROIT (37 - 40) at COLORADO (28 - 49): Play On The Colorado Rockies -133 6 7/3/2004 7:05:00 PM
Saturday, 7/3/2004 MIKE MAROTH (L) vs. JASON JENNINGS (R). Maroth over his last three starts has an ERA of 5.71 (4.47 Season) and a WHIP of 1.731 (1.421) so he is not quite as sharp as he was earlier in the season. Meanwhile, Jennings over his last three comes in with an ERA of 4.19 (Season 6.36) and a WHIP of 1.604 (Season 1.793) and he has been improving vs the likes of the Indians, Brewers and Red Sox while Maroth was on the decline vs the Royals, Diamondbacks and Phillies. JENNINGS is 22-5 (+16.1 Units) against the money line in home games as a favorite of -110 or higher over the last 3 seasons. (Team's Record). The average score was JENNINGS 7.1, OPPONENT 5.2. Here is a situation trend I also like as it pertains to today's game. Play Against - Road teams when the money line is +125 to -125 (DETROIT) - with a bad bullpen that blows 38% or more of their save opportunities against opponent with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.650 or worse on the season-NL. (71-26 since 1997.) (73.2%, +41.2 units) I will back the improving Jenning as he should get some better help at the plate with Walker and Wilson back in the regular line-up for the Rockies. Take Colorado as Today's Play Of The Day and lets make this 8 for our last 10 POD Winners. This is a 4.5% Play

We'll A. Good didn't become a starter because he was struggling in the bullpen. He has a nasty slider that breaks 6 to 12. Nevermind, most of you guys don't know how a slider or a curve breaks. LOL $$$$$$
