Plans for 2004 GotPicks Fantasy Football
Football season is finally around the corner. We are planning on running a few fantasy leagues for all levels. I got into fantasy this baseball season, and it has been a blast even though I get my ass kicked almost every week.
There will be three different levels:
Premiere League: $250.00 a team. (1 league)
12 man league, bottom two are relegated and two league champs (see below) are promoted to the premiere league. Our fantasy guru PC7588 will be the commissioner of this league.
Professional leagues: $150.00 a team (2-4 leagues)
Casual players league: $100.00 a team (as many leagues as we need)
I probably will be the commissioner for a Professional league or a casual league (or maybe both). We might need volunteers to be commish depending on the level of interest.
PC7588 will be setting the rules and regulations. For baseball, winner took about 50% of the pot, second maybe 20%, third ??%, and there were prizes for the high score of each week. I'm expecting something similar. If you have any questions or suggestions, post here.

..I'll help wherever I can. I don't necessarily have to be the commish of the premiere league, but will if you and the boys want. Fellas interested in fantasy, most of the leagues will be a head to head format with a live draft online. You will start position players and accrue points for the week. The high score between you and your opponent wins for the week.
Please comment on the following in your responses to Ricky.
...Are you interested in a keeper league? (You keep a fixed numbers of players throughout your fantasy career. For example, you draft Micheal Vick this year...you would protect him and keep on your next year's team.)
...Scoring formats will be posted here in the next few weeks along with deadlines for signing up. Any feedback, comments, suggestions, will be greatly appreciated. The winner of the premiere league will also receive a trophy which will travel from year to year to rest on the mantle of the existing league champ.

Entry Fee: $250.00 (12 teams) =$3000.00
CBS cost of hosting site - $ 125.00
Gotpicks Donation/Trophy - $ 100.00

Weekly high score for weeks 1-14 NFL Regular Season(25).$$350.00
1'st Place:.....................................................................$1225.00
2'nd Place:....................................................................$ 600.00
3'rd Place:.....................................................................$ 400.00

Good luck, and let the games begin....Professional leagues will be a similar payout structure with 1'st through 4'th and weeky high score for weeks 1-14 being paid out. The top two scoring professional leagues will be asked/invited to join the premiere league the following year. The bottom two premiere league teams will be relegated to the first division professional leagues.
Casual leagues will payout 1'st to 3rd and only pay high scores for weeks 1-10 to increase the final finish payouts. The Casual and professional leagues are for those new to fantasy. We will put up as many of these leagues as you guys want. If possible, we will post ALL fantasy leagues and records weekly on Gotpicks so people can talk mad smack. The format for scoring for ALL leagues will be the same so that the casual league champ can talk game against any other league. We might have an experimental league or two if anyone is interested (Rotisserie style, Dynasty leagues, keeper leagues etc.) I for one have never played in a keeper league and would like to give it a shot.

I must admit, PC7588 is a GOOD league leader. Not only does he respond to e-mails, he makes it fair from every aspect from the fantasy owner !!
If your a good capper and know the sport, then you have a chance to take home the bacon $$$$$$. Trying to figure out the outcome has a lot to do with fantasy sports, it's almost like trying to figure out who will go to the next SB !! You know like the BLACK CATS $$$$$$ ( Carolina ) .
Look at all angles and strengths of schedules !! If you can determine this, your well on your way !!!
I'm tired of the Bullshit talkers, let's see who is who !! Put up or SHUT UP !!!!!!!!!!!
Let's not forget this is just Fantasy. We do know what that is, right ???
What is a unit or 2 1/2 units compared to what WE SAY WE WAGER on a nightly basis ????

I would really prefer the premier league but if there's no way that can happen, then I guess I can do one of the other leagues.
