PC7588 Week 8 Picks
Finished badly last week. Still bitter about the KC under Sunday...They give up the tying run twice late in the game.
By the way, I'm a big fan of everyone having their own thread. It's a great way to see the plays you want to instead of filtering through. Nice work fellas, the MLB daily picks is coming on strong.
I'll only update the current week from here on out. You can check my previous records by checking their week.

MONDAY
I'm rollin the Yanks under 10.
Wakefield usually gets drilled by the yanks but Francona showed a lot of faith in Tim by pushing him back to Monday. Throw in the fact that Wake is a vet and has been lights out this year on the road and I think it's the play. The yanks continue to go under as their hitting has been quiet. Wang is due for a QS (Quality Start) and the pub is hammering the over but late movement is going down.

Tuesday:
2 plays tonight:
Back to the well. Roll with me on the under 11 in the Yanks/Sox tonight. I've waited patiently for this line to go up and it has. Mussina pitches a gem tonight, Bruney and Farnsworth get it to Mo...we never get seriously threatened. Go look at Big Papi's numbers and Manny's numbers against Moose..he owns them.
Almost GOW material:
ROLL WITH ME ON YANKS/SOX under 11
Tavarez and Moose (19 career wins lifetime 3.47 ERA against Sox) must go.
San Fran +105 ML..in case you missed it the pitching matchup of the year so far was Oswalt/Lincecum 1 in Houston. I'll take Tim to win the re match and get the W tonight. This kid is amazing and Oswalt is no slouch either. Not touching the under as it seems too easy, but I will roll the home side.

2 plays today...here's the day game:
I will roll on Billz's boy Boof to get it done today in texas. The Ranger's sticks are hot, but I think Minnesota wins today. Morneau hit well in the Ballpark and the Twinkies are finally getting healthy. If Boof can get and keep the lead for us I'll take the Twinkies bullpen to shut it down.

Nothing personal...I just felt it was wrong to make a comment like that on a board for congratulating someone on winners. But for real, I know you both are in the chat room a bit so it's all good with me. I would stick up for you if someone made that comment. I just assumed you were going off on coolrick because he thanks people for winners which I think is a nice gesture.

Week 8: 4-0 ATS (just hit on Minny)
It's been a good return to the daily grind after that terrible 0-3 return to GP in week 5. I have 2 I really like tonight so I'm going to make it a rare 3 play day in MLB.
BP..I'm laying off that one we talked about. Something's fishy pub is hammering the over at 92%
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Play #1:
It's been a theme if you followed my plays this year both in the pay service time and here..but again I'll give reasons to keep hammering our personal cash cow.
ROLL WITH ME ON THE CALIFORNIA ANGELS +105 ML
You know I love Bartolo...el gordo..AKA the lord of the ring dings...AKA El Presidente....is back on the hill for what I think is the game of the night in MLB..even though I'm sure I'll be flippin to the hot KC Royals (won 5 out of last 6) This game is the gem.
Numbers on Gordo since his return from the DL:
**undefeated at 5-0 in 6 starts with an ERA of 3.69. (He is over 5 on the road at 3-0)
**Last 2 starts on the road he allowed 3 runs in each game against what I think are good offenses.
**Angels are the hottest team in baseball winning their last 6 in a row.
I initially was going to release the over but I'll use that for parley filler. Bartolo is the play tonight. Willits has been inserted in the top of the lineup and I can see why. This dude reminds me of Willie Randolph in his heyday. Not much pop but the boy can flat out hit and run. He has added a new dimension to the Angels offense. The lineup is starting to get some street cred as the youngsters are starting to figure out MLB pitching. Throw in Vlad the Imapler and the best bullpen (in my opinion) in the AL and you have a recipe for success. The only reason the line is so low and weighted on the Tigers is Durbin's recent success. Andrew Miller is waiting in the wings to grab his spot in the minors. Since a so so start Chad has been pitching lights out. Tonight he'll battle Bartolo and this game could go under, but I think both offenses are gonna roll tonight. I'll take Bartolo to get the lead over Durbin, and I'll take the Halos bullpen over a very good Tigers pen to get me the victory.

Play #2:
I'm going to go for the sweep in the Yanks game ATS. I hit the first two on the under..tonight I'm on the over.
Schills and Pettite are two big names, but they are facing two great offenses. AP has been lit up like a christmas tree in the last two against Boston and the way I see it, he's not the pitcher I saw in Houston so far. On the other side of the hill, the Yanks will do whatever they can to put up a number and win this series. I told a friend I think Torre's job is on the line tonight in this game. A sox blowout and we'll see Girardi or Pena take over the Yanks..anyways..they will be aggressive and get after it tonight offensively. They know the Sox bats can come back so they will go strong tonight offensively.
ROLL WITH ME ON NEW YORK/BOSTON OVER 9 1/2 +105 (sorry forgot the hook)

THURSDAY DAY
I'm on the over 9 in Detroit/Anaheim
Ervin Santana has had serious problems on the road and I don't see it stopping today. Both offenses can light it up and the way Magglio is hitting, I can't back the under. Bonderman is coming off the DL with blister problems but he hasn't been the dominant pitcher we have come to expect this year. I look for both teams to get off early and hopefully we get an early cover so we can roll on the M's game.
Good luck, my money is on over 9 -115 in the Angels/Tigers tilt today in Detroit. Listed pitchers must go.

Nice hit by Magglio and the Tigers...
Not counting on record, but i rolled some $$$$ into Tampa bay as a dog today. Just FYI...another respected capper I know likes it too so we'll see how it goes.
Game of the Week goes off tonight..I'm going to be large on it but I want to watch the line a little and look at some other stats.

Thursday Night
All right, don't call me a homer but I'm rollin on my hometown boys..the Kansas City Royals. I was talking to our boy in S. FLA. and we're both in agreement, KC is the play.
let's start with pitching...remember us nailing against Jeremy Sowers last week with the Reds? As talented as he was a rook, his soph. year is in serious jeopardy. It's only a matter of time until he gets booted to triple AAA and I hope it's my boys that do it tonight. Sowers has been garbage all year, look at his numbers:
*9.13 ERA on the road this year
*Last 4 games he has been absolutely tatooed going 0-4 and the Indians are giving up an average of 8.9 runs a game in games that he starts on the road.
Now why I like KC:
Can you say DeLaRosa? Our boy might be the 2nd all star for the Royals this year. He got a BS no decision, but smoked Javier Vazquez and the White sox 11-1 his last time out. His ERA at home is nice and his ERA for the year is sub 4.00. Did I mention the Royals are now 8-2 in their last 10 games. They won 3 of 4 @ Oakland, they won 2 of 3 @ Colorado, they've won the first 2 in a 3 game set in KC. Pub is still betting that atrocious pitcher from Cleveland because no one believes the AL Central leading Indians could get swept by the lowly Royals. This line is way off and I just don't see it. Alex Gordon is finally starting to swing a little bit. Teahan is back in form from last year's amazing 2nd half, Sweeney is really enjoying his DH role and warming up to it, and did I mention Soria and Dotel give us a bullpen now?
Royals are the play for me. I don't think it will be close. The bullpen for the Royals has really been solid and don't tell me the men in blue aren't motivated to get their first sweep of the season. Keep hammering Cleveland betting public, I want more juice.

I've got one total play I really like tonight. Roll with me on Tampa/Chicago White Sox under 8.
Buehrle/Shields must go.
These two guys get it done on the hill. Buehrle is one of the quickest operators in the game and if he gets in the groove this game is going way under. Shields has been downright nasty. His record doesn't reflect it but he has 3 no decisions where he allowed 1 run or less. I really like this under and took it this morning while it still is at 8. This line will go down by tonight..or by my estimates, it should.

Roll with me on the San Diego Padres -125. I have fallen in love with this kid Germano for the Padres. He reminds me of Greg Maddux in his prime with his location. I'll also take his 0.47 ERA against a team I personally believe doesn't hit very well.

I have two today:
1.) Roll with me on the California Angels +135 ML @ New York (AL).
Lackey/Moose must go.
I know, I know, the Yanks can't afford to lose this one. But I'll take Lackey all day until Moose can prove to me that he's the Moose of old. He's been getting lit up like a Christmas tree and the value of backing a quality #1 like Lackey makes me take the dog even though it's against a hungry and desperate Yanks team.
California Angels +135 ML
2.)Roll with me on Oakland/Baltimore under 9. I like that Blanton and Cabrera are on the hill. This is a lot of runs for a day game scenario with these two toeing the mound. Trends and stats support an under play today in this game. Don't have much time to get in to it as I'm headed to the tee box in about an hour. Have a great Sunday.
