NBA Picks for Sat, May 5

Derby Day! Cinco de Mayo! Game 7! It doesn't get any better than that for one day! Of course, the Raps covered (almost won the damn game which would have drilled me again on the ML), but I didn't have the balls to take the points and play it! We play Game 7 tonight, though!

Play:

HOUSTON -5.5 (I believe it's McGrady's time to finally move on to the second round; It would be a double whammy for me if the Rockets don't win this game, but I believe they get it done by 10 or more)

Opinion:

CHICAGO +5 (I was tempted to grab the points here, but I will wait to see what both teams bring to the table in the opening game)

Series Plays:

SAN ANTONIO +145 (PUNCHOUT SERIES PLAY) (this is wonderful!; I get the Spurs as a dog in this series; they will mop up the Suns just like they did a couple years ago; if the Suns win this series and go on to win it all, I will retire; oh yeah, I will do that anyway; I want to see Phoenix have to break up this team and play real NBA basketball in order to win it all)

CHICAGO +160 (I originally had Detroit winning this series before the playoffs started, but I didn't think Chicago would handle Miami so easily; the Bulls are ready to go to the Finals; I'm taking the odds on them to win the East)

Spurs in 6

Bulls in 6

  3. Here's what I got:

    14-11-1 ATS first round Pass last night, 8-2 ATS last 10

    Roll with me on Detroit -5 against Chicago. It's time for the Pistons to assert themselves and I think the baby bulls will have big time problems in Game 1. All of the Pistons save Webber have been here before in a Pistons uniform. They have played Chicago numerous times this year and the numbers support backing the Pistons at home. I know the Bulls looked great in sweeping the defending champs, but this is an entirely different matchup. Gordon will not be able to launch 3's, Deng is going to have a much harder time around the basket, and the defense of Rip and Chauncey should really give Heinrich fits. I think the Pistons win by double digits.

  4. just got back in after spending the day at the track. Nailed a tri box on the derby with a $5 ticket!!!! overall ended up over a dime today on the horses. As for the NBA here are my plays tonight......

    risking 550 to win 500:

    Utah Jizz +5.5

    risking 330 to win 300:

    Jizz UNDER 184

    the rockets may win, but i like those points tonight. GL 8)
