NBA Picks for Sat, April 28
I am completely in awe at the way the Bulls manhandled the Heat in the fourth quarter! I expected the Bulls to win this series, but not in this fashion! Takis, you were right the other night: Miami IS horrible!!! (they will probably win Game 4, though, and lose this thing in 5) And as for the Mavs, Golden State made them look silly again! The Suns could possibly get their shot at the title by default (and by that I mean not having to play the Spurs or the Mavs; now, wouldn't that be a joke! It's all about the right matchups in the playoffs! (I still believe the Mavs and Spurs will come through in the end, but they will surely have to battle to get the job done!) Let's try another day (I actually like all four games):
Plays:
WASHINGTON +4.5 (PUNCHOUT) (living in Cleveland, I hear and read about the Cavs all the time; I probably watched more of the Cavs than any other team, even though I have the NBA Pass package; I just don't see the killer instinct in LeBron or anyone else on this team; I don't think they can sweep the Wizards, even though the Wizards stink!; it's been at least four years since I've seen two teams, down 0-2, not cover the number at home in Game 3, let alone three!; I like my chances even more now)
DETROIT -4.5 (okay, does Orlando really have any chance in this game?; I don't think so; Game 3 was their chance to get a W in this series, and they were ripped apart in the second half; the Pistons are just plain old levels ahead of this team; Orlando has no answers for what Detroit brings to the table; my broom is ready!)
SAN ANTONIO -2 (I believe the Spurs grab this first one on the road unlike the Mavs were able to do last night; San Antonio has been a great road team in the playoffs over the past several seasons; its great defense will clamp down hard on the Nugs tonight)
UTAH -3.5 (we are going to see seven games here; the Jazz have always been tough at home in the playoffs, and I believe the offensively challenged Rockets will struggle to get it done on the road once again; they are so good on defense, but when no one can score the basketball except Yao and McGrady, they are in trouble; I still think they can take this thing on their home floor in the seventh game)
ML Play:
WASHINGTON +170
Playoff Record: 5-5
Punchouts: 2-2
ML Plays: 3-4 (-1.95 Units)
Opinions: 8-3-1
The Opinions continue to roll, but they really mean nothing!
