NBA Picks for Tues, April 24
I'm a little annoyed that the Jazz let that one get away, but we'll just pound them in Game 3 now! Let's roll to the next day:
Plays:
TORONTO -5 (now I don't think the Raps will win this series, but they WILL come out with some fire today and take down the Nets on their home floor; they are inexperienced, but they are not losing both games on their home floor; the Raps were so good at home this season, and I believe we see a solid game from them tonight)
MIAMI +3.5 (oh I can see this series going back and forth; the Heat can win anywhere in the playoffs, but they are surely capable of dropping a few at home; I believe it's Miami's turn to win a tough one on the road)
ML Plays:
TORONTO -230
MIAMI +150
Opinion:
L.A. LAKERS +9.5
Playoff Record: 1-1
ML Plays: 0-1 (-1 Unit)
Opinions: 6-1-1
PC, Let's bang 'em up tonight! I know you like the Heat tonight as well! I can just smell it!

0-1-1 last night Utah just can't finish.
2-2-1 ATS on the post season.
BEST BET MY FIRST NBA GAME OF THE WEEK PLAY:
Roll with me on Toronto over 193 1/2 at home against the Nets.
Here's why:
--From a numbers standpoint it really doesn't jump out. But there were a lot of factors in that first game we heard about or saw first hand. The youth of the Raps really showed in their offensive sets in the fourth quarter. When the game got tight (or Bosh was on the bench with foul trouble) they had no answer to click and score. The Nets saw this and capitalized on it by consistently going after Bosh on both ends of the court. The Raptors learned a very important lesson from the game #1 loss...YOU NEED CHRIS BOSH ON THE FLOOR TO WIN THIS SERIES.
More Bosh means more offense for the Raps. They had no problem scoring and erased double digit deficits in minutes when he was on the floor. On the other side of that coin the Nets saw the secret to winning. Hammer inside against the soft and small Raps inside game. Bosh will not get in foul trouble (he's a very smart player in my opinion) and will ease up defensively. This translates into more scoring on both ends of the floor.
--The Raptors will turn up the heat tonight. I think the fans got more carried away bitching about Vince then they did staying in the game. Let's chalk it up to NBA playoff inexperience for the Toronto fans. Anyone notice how quiet the Air Carter..err the Raptors home gym during the 4'th? That won't happen tonight because the Raptors are gonna press and push the tempo. Playing slow falls into the Net's gameplan. The Raps want to push and the Nets want 1/2 court sets. Tonight, the Nets will HAVE to run if they want to win. And with Kidd distributing and Jefferson and Vinsanity on the wings, it works when needed. I think this game will easily eclipse 200. If it doesn't, the Raps may be looking at next year because the Nets will go for the jugular. Let's not forget that Overtime is a very real possiblity with these two teams and we might see it tonight.
ROLL WITH ME ON TORONTO/ NEW JERSEY OVER 193 1/2...NBA Post Season Game of the Week$$$
2nd play: I'm playing the under in Miami/Chicago. Better defensive effort out of Miami if they want to win. I know they kept the Bulls 3 pointers at bay, but with the pub hammering the over and the line not budgin, I think the under is our money ball.
ROLL WITH ME ON Miami/Chicago under 184
Good luck everyone
I got 4 units on the Raps over and 2 units on the Bulls under.
Jdelt, Phanto, Tako and everyone else who loves the NBA post season...good luck tonight.
