Today is the last day of the nba season....

Memphis is at MINNESOTA tonite and the TIMBERWOLVES find themselves in a situation where if they WIN this game it hurts them in the draft via some trade they made. They absolutely do not want too win this game. Why would they want to weaken the future of the franchise by winning this meaningless game..Memphis will score as they always do and tonite this MINNESOTA team wont WANT to keep it.

    Other tidbits for today......

    Western Conference

The top six seeds in the West have been determined. The No. 3 San Antonio Spurs will face the No. 6 Denver Nuggets in one series. The No. 4 Utah Jazz will face the No. 5 Houston Rockets in another series, and the Rockets will have home-court advantage.

The Dallas Mavericks have clinched the No. 1 seed, and the Phoenix Suns have clinched the No. 2 seed. The Los Angeles Lakers will be either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed.

The Golden State Warriors lead the Los Angeles Clippers by one game in the race for the final playoff spot. The Lakers win all tiebreakers, and the Warriors lose all tie-breakers.

Nos. 7, 8 and 9: Lakers, Warriors, Clippers

Lakers (41-40): at Kings, Wed. 10 ET

Warriors (40-40): at Trail Blazers, Wed. 10 ET

Clippers (39-41): vs. Hornets, Wed. 10:30 ET (ESPN)

The Lakers would clinch the No. 7 seed with a win or Warriors loss. The Lakers win a tie with the Warriors based on a 4-0 head-to-head record. The Lakers win a tie with the Clippers based on a better division record (9-7 to 8-8).

The Warriors would clinch the No. 8 seed with a win or a Clippers loss. The Warriors would clinch the No. 7 seed with a win and a Lakers loss. The Warriors lose a tie with the Clippers based on a worse division record (6-10 to 7-8).

The Clippers would clinch the No. 8 seed with a win and a Warriors loss. The Clippers cannot finish No. 7.

    Eastern Conference

The eight teams have been determined. The Detroit Pistons will be the No. 1 seed. The Toronto Raptors will be the No. 3 seed. The Miami Heat will be the No. 4 seed but will not have home-court against the No. 5 seed, either the Chicago Bulls or Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Washington Wizards will be the No. 6, 7 or 8 seed. New Jersey Nets will be the No. 6 or 7 seed. The Orlando Magic will be the No. 7 or 8 seed.

Nos. 2 and 5: Bulls, Cavaliers

Bulls (49-32): at Nets, Wed. 7:30 ET

Cavaliers (49-32): vs. Bucks, Wed. 7 ET

The Bulls would clinch the No. 2 seed with a win or a Cavaliers loss. The Bulls win a tie with the Cavaliers based on a better division record (12-4 to 9-6).

The Cavaliers would clinch the No. 2 seed with a win and a Bulls loss. Otherwise, the Cavaliers will be the No. 5 seed and host the No. 4 Heat to open a first-round series.

Nos. 6, 7 and 8: Nets, Wizards, Magic

Nets (40-41): vs. Bulls, Wed. 7:30 ET

Wizards (40-41): at Pacers, Wed. 8 ET (ESPN)

Magic (39-42): vs. Heat, Wed. 7 ET

The Nets would clinch the No. 6 seed with a win or a Wizards loss. If the Wizards win and Nets lose, the Nets are the No. 7 seed. The Nets win a tie with the Wizards based on a 4-0 head-to-head record. The Nets win a tie with the Magic based on a better conference record (30-21 to 25-26).

The Wizards would clinch the No. 6 seed with a win and a Nets loss. The Wizards would be the No. 7 seed with a win and a Nets win, OR a loss and a Magic loss. The Wizards win a tie with the Magic based on a better division record (9-7 to 8-8). The Wizards would be the No. 8 seed with a loss, Nets loss and Magic win (all finish 40-42; head-to-head: Nets 6-2, Magic 4-4, Wizards 2-6).

The Magic would clinch the No. 7 seed with a win, a Nets loss and a Wizards loss (if the Wizards, Nets and Magic all finish 40-42). Otherwise, the Magic are the No. 8 seed.

So many games to choose from today with so many different scenarios! It makes you want to dive right in! I will roll with three of them:

HOUSTON +9 (no Yao and no McGrady, but I like the rest of this bunch to step up and keep this one close against a Jazz team that has struggled down the stretch, particularly ATS, posting a 1-7-1 ATS mark at home in last 9 home games and a 3-16-1 ATS mark in last 20 games overall)

SACRAMENTO +1 (I don't think the Queens will just lay down for this bunch of Fakers; I'm sure they would love nothing more than to finish out this season by beating L.A. in front of the home fans at Arco tonight; and we get a point to top it off)

INDIANA +1 (as bad as the Pacers were last night, which I expected to happen, I think they close out their season with a win at home tonight; you know why: b/c they are playing the garbage Wizards; I don't care what the f--k the Wizards are playing for tonight; they stink and will end up getting the 8 seed, which means we will not have a good series bet against this team b/c the odds will be horrible)

GL! These three plays will be my final three NBA regular season plays as I am retiring after the NBA Playoffs at the ripe old age of 31! I am tired and worn down, and I believe it's the right time for me to start focusing more on my business! It has been a great ride! Let's make one more run at the NBA Playoffs!
