Tuesday's 3-0 card
500-Unit NBA Slam Dunk - L.A. LAKERS
The Lakers opened their four-game road trip Sunday at Phoenix, losing 99-94, but showing a lot of spunk despite being without Lamar Odom. They will come with the same effort tonight and will pull off the upset in Minnesota.
Kobe Bryant had 31 points, six assists and four rebounds against the Suns and shot just 43 percent from the floor and were still in the game until the end.
Minnesota has lost six of seven games, including three straight after Sunday's 124-117 double-OT loss in Boston. The T'Wolves are just 5-18 ATS in their last 23 games overall and got drilled by the Lakers on Dec. 20, losing 111-94 as a 5 1/2-point favorite.
Los Angeles has gone 4-1 ATS in its last five and won its last two road games at Golden State and Utah.
Minnesota is just 1-9 ATS in its last 10 games and just doesn't look to have anything other than Kevin Garnett going well right now. They are giving up 106.8 points a game in their last five games and the Lakers are putting up 105.6 in their last five.
Look for Kobe and crew to light up the scoreboard and get a big road win. Play the Lakers.
100-Unit MWC Eliminator - TEXAS CHRISITAN
The two worst teams in the Mountain West Conference square off today to see who gets the pleasure of playing BYU Thursday, the conference's No. 1 seed.
The game is in Las Vegas and both these squads are horrible on the road with New Mexico 2-11 in games on the road and Texas Christian 2-9. We're going with the Horned Frogs in this one as there's not as much controversy surrounding the progam as with New Mexico. The Lobos are parting ways with coach Richie McKay after the season and who knows how much effort the team will put out for this one.
The two teams split the season series, each team winning at home.
New Mexico has lost six of its last seven games while TCU has actually won two of three to close the season and finished with a 3-0 ATS run.
The Lobos haven't exactly stopped anybody with defense lately, giving up 78.6 points a game and letting the opposition shoot 49.6 percent from the floor. TCU is actually playing a little defense, giving up 67.2 points and 43.5 percent shooting in its last five games.
Play the Horned Frogs. Grab the points but don't be surprised if they get the outright win.
100-Unit Big Sky Book Buster - NORTHERN ARIZONA
It's the Big Sky semifinals and we're going with the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona to get the win and head to the finals.
Northern Arizona has won seven of its last eight games and is 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven outings. The Lumberjacks won five straight games to close the season, including an 88-81 victory over Montana on Feb. 22. Northern Arizona won outright as five-point underdogs in Montana.
With this game in Odgen, Utah, the Lumberjacks average 81.4 points a game on the road and shoot 47.7 percent from the floor. Montana puts up just 68.3 points a game on the highway.
There will be some revenge coming into play in this matchup as Northern Arizona was knocked out of last year's Big Sky tournament by Montana, 73-60.
Play the Lumberjacks to win this one and cover this small number.

Note:
Like I said, just feeling great about everything. Simple as that.
Just have to make sure we continue to get on the right side of games and let the chips fall where they may.
That is such a key at this time of the year. So many games and so many lines and all you can do is get on the right side of games and everything should play out the way it's supposed to.
That has always been my strategy at this time of the year and a perfect example of that was last night with VCU.
Bottom line is I had no right winning that game but truth be told, if you played that game, you had to force G.Mason to cover that game playing their 4th straight game for a 4th straight day.
Right side of the game and caught a break. That is what I am talking about.
Nice run. 10 of 14 days but could very well be 13 of 14 with a couple more breaks but I ain't crying. I am happy with where things are rolling into this week.
To pick up +25 dimes to start the week puts us in a great spot for the rest of the week.
Keeping it simple tonight looking to duplicate the 3-0 sweep from last night.
I told you the run was coming. My job is to keep it going and I pretty darn confident, for the 2nd straight year, it will be a March to remember.
Lets win more money today.
WRIGHT STATE
Here they go. Round 3 between these two and I really feel this game is going to be a war. An absolute war.
Butler hammered Wright State in the first meeting at home 73-42 way back on January 6th.
The 2nd meeting, which took place over 5 weeks later and Wright returned the favor on their home floor by 13.
Now on a neutral floor, this game is going to be a great one.
Butler comes in off the 1 point win over Loyola/Chicago while Wright State just blew out Wisconsin/Green Bay 67-51.
This is one hot Wright State team.
Since that loss at Butler, this Wright State team has gone 12-3 SU and 11-4 ATS. To put it simply, this team is playing great.
Considering how much Butler is struggling, I am all over Wright State to get it done.
TCU
You often hear me talk about great spots to ride a team. Well, Tcu is in a great spot here.
New Mexico has had a down year. Their coach has already been fired. They are in a free fall losing at home to Unlv and got blown out at Wyoming to end the year.
You think they are going to rally here? I don't think so.
I was so impressed with Tcu winning at home over Air Force 71-66 as an 11 point home dog and them hammered Wyoming 77-58 as a 1 point favorite.
They then went to San Diego State and battled them to a 5 point game as a 14 1/2 point dog.
They are competing and they will put their lives on the line to win this game here and I believe they will.
These two split the two meetings this year with both home teams winning but I am more inclined to side with the team playing well right now in Tcu than a New Mexico team that has lost 4 straight and 6 of their last 7.
As I said yesterday with Arkansas State over W.Kentucky, I truly feel we have another live dog here and it wouldn't suprise me to see Tcu win this game outright.
I am on the dog Tcu.
WEBER STATE
Just as I did with North Texas getting it done from a obscure conference, same goes here with Weber.
They end the season 9-4 SU and ATS and even though they are coming off that loss to Sac St, I will back them here.
In the two meetings this year, they drilled them by 10 at home and a 2 point win on the road.
Weber has paid out all year long, more than Portland St.
As with N.Texas yesterday, I can't believe this line is what it is but considering Portland St has won 3 in a row SU and ATS. linemaker felt he could get away from it.
Problem is Portland St didn't beat anybody in those games.
No doubt in my mind the right side of this game is Weber and I will roll with them to get it done here tonight.
Weber is the play all the way.

The Lobos are 21-9 ATS the last 30 conference tourney games they've played. They have covered five in a row against teams off a loss. New Mexico doesn't have much of a defense so they try to outscore the opponent. They have made more three-pointers than any team in the Mountain West. Tonight they will score at least 10 points more than TCU. New Mexico has won and covered seven in a row against teams with a less than .520 winning percentage. Go Lobos!
1500♦ INDIANA PACERS
At the end of February, just nine days ago, the Kings beat the Pacers by 17 points at Indiana. The Pacers will get revenge tonight at Sacramento. The Kings will be without Ron Artest as he was arrested last night for allegedly hitting a woman. He has been suspended from the team. I had this play marked before that news was released because the Pacers have one of the league's best records as a road dog with same -season revenge. Also note that the Pacers are 9-3 ATS the last twelve at Sacramento when playing with rest. I'll take the points!

Today's Games...
1. 400,000♦ Pennsylvania
2. 100,000♦ Arkansas State
1. Pennsylvania- Is this a joke? I couldn't disagree more with Odds Makers on this one, as I can easily see Penn winning this game by double-digits against a Princeton offense that's not fit for high school basketball!
Guys, in case you haven't been following the Ivy League as closely as you've wanted to... This isn't the "famous" Princeton offense of years past, this year's Tigers are averaging an anemic 50 ppg on 40% shooting for the season! You want to stack that offense against a Quaker squad that's torching the nets, averaging 79 ppg on 53% shooting (40% from 3-point) over their last 5 games?!
Some analysts will point to the Tigers defensive numbers (allowing 53 ppg on 44% shooting on season), which seem good right? WRONG. Anyone who knows basketball, knows the only reason the Tigers defensive numbers appear to be so solid is that they play the "possession game," milking the clock on every single possession they can.
But did that strategy work last time these two faced off? Of course it didn't, while Penn only scored 48 points, the sorry Tigers managed only 35 points, as Penn narrowly covered the double digit spread. So what's so different this time around, that odds makers are compelled to lower the number to single-digits (Princeton is just 3-5-1 ATS at home)? Nothing, that's my point! Quakers roll!
Take Pennsylvania BIG over Princeton as your top-rated play of the day.
2. Arkansas State- Got to like the surging Indians in this Sun Belt Title game tonight, as Coach Dickey Nutt has them rolling, winners of 6 straight SU & ATS, the Mean Green Eagles are in BIG trouble tonight.
While North Texas is coming off 4 straight wins SU & ATS themselves, the numbers are a little deceiving. First of all, two of those games were against Louisiana-Lafayette, which I don't have to tell you is no big feat. Second, do you know the team that defeated them before they started rolling (on their home court no less)? You guessed it... Arkansas State.
That leads me to my next point - Not only is Arkansas State rolling at precisely the right time, but their doing it against solid competition. None bigger than their 80-73 upset win over media-darling Western Kentucky Monday. How did they do it? The way they win most games - sharpshooting and depth.
The Indians shot 51% from the field, 42% from 3-point, and 92% (26-28) from the charity stripe! This against what most people considered a much better Western Kentucky team... Guess not media idiots! Facing a North Texas defense that's errily similar to Western Kentucky's, I just don't see the Mean Green Eagles doing anything to stop the onslaught.
Bottom line, there's a lot to be said for team's that gets hot at the right time and Arkansas State is one of those teams. It's also important to note that the underdog is 8-0 ATS over the last 8 meetings in this series, make it 9-0 after tonight!
Take Arkansas State plus the points over North Texas in tonight's Sun Belt Title game.

50 DIMER - BUTLER BULLDOGS....20 DIMER - LOS ANGELES LAKERS
50 DIMER - BUTLER BULLDOGS
You have to wonder about this line, as all of the numbers I am looking at support Wright State. Why then are the Raiders getting points tonight?
I will tell you why...this game is a "trap"!
Butler will rise up and take care of the automatic bid with the win and cover at this dirt cheap price tonight. It may take a while, but in the end the Bulldogs rugged pre-conference schedule will pay off. Keep in mind Butler has tangled with Notre Dame, Indiana, Tennessee, and Gonzaga!
This is also a revenge game for the Bulldogs who lost by double-digits on the road in February to this Wright State team.
Hey, "hats off" to Wright State for their great season, I just have the feeling that tonight it will be too tough on State to come through with another win over the well-seasoned Bulldogs.
I will lay the small number and go with Butler to prevail.
20 DIMER - LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Minnesota has gone cold!
The Timberwolves have lost 3 in a row, and 6 of their last 7 while failing the spread in all 7 losses.
I don't see that losing trend reversing tonight against a Lakers team that is in need of all the wins they can get. Los Angeles has won the last 3 series meetings, including a 111-94 win at the Target Center just before the new year. In that game, LA outscored Minny 34-7 in the 4th quarter and claim the outright road win as the 5-point dog.
The Lakers are still thinking about the postseason, while the Wolves are just thinking about what they will be doing with their late spring/early summer off.
I say go with Los Angeles in this road game.

5,000,000♦ Idaho Vandals
Listen, this won't be the most entertaining game to watch because both teams have 8 wins combined between them but who in God's name is San Jose State to be laying this many points to anyone.
They are 5-24 on the season and even though they beat Idaho twice this year, they did it by 8 combined points.
These two teams are about equal and in that I mean that they both suck. I have to grab the points here with Idaho because it's just too many for a bad Spartans team to cover.
Play Idaho here plus the points.
1,000,000♦ Dallas Mavericks
New Jersey is just in a major funk right now as they have dropped two in a row to two of the worst teams in the league.
They lost at home to Boston by 8 in overtime. If you lose to Boston you should be thrown out of the league because they are God awful.
They followed that great effort up with a 13 point loss on the road against Philadelphia so here is my point.
If they couldn't stay within 13 at Philly, how in hell are they gonna stay with 11.5 at Dallas. Here's the answer, they won't.
Dallas beat this team by 17 on the road back in the beginning of December. Look for it to be even worse tonight at home. Take the Mavs here, lay the points.

1000 DIME Horizon Final No Brainer...WRIGHT STATE
The streaking Wright State Raiders, who have won and covered four straight at home against the Bulldogs, will take care of Butler tonight and win outright this Horizon League Tournament championship game. I'm telling you the wrong team is favored in this spot and if you so desire, play the Raiders on the money line, too. Led by league Player of the Year DaShaun Wood, Wright State has won 10 of its last 11 games with Saturday's 16-point win over Wisconsin-Green Bay. Now in the tournament final for the first time since 1995, the Raiders are set to stamp their ticket into the big dance against a Butler team that Wright State is on overall runs of 7-2 SU and 6-1 ATS against. The Bulldogs come into this game having dropped five straight visits to the Nutter Center in Dayton.
Butler played great basketball this season, especially in the early and middle portions of the year. But the Bulldogs, who depend a little too much on their outside shooting for my liking, are now on current runs of just 4-3 SU and 2-4 ATS. That includes a 12-point loss at Wright State back on Feb. 10. I'm not liking the way that Butler leading scorer A.J. Graves has been playing of late after he missed all nine of his shots from the field in Saturday's OT win over Loyola. And last month at Wright State, Graves missed 13 of 16 shots (eight of nine from beyond the arc) as the Bulldogs shot just 19 percent (5-of-26) from trey land. Butler is already in the NCAA tournament, but the Raiders aren't so sure about their invite. They need this win to ensure the Raiders will be dancing. They'll play with a lot of purpose and with the home crowd cheering them on, Wright State will win this one outright.
500 DIME Big Sky No Brainer...WEBER STATE
Weber State is the other team I like tonight that is playing a home tournament game. The Wildcats will be able to cover this small number against a Portland State team that has losing marks both SU and ATS away from home this season. The Vikings, who went 0-2 SU/ATS versus the Wildcats this year, went 3-6 SU and 3-5 ATS versus teams with winning records this season. Conversely, the top-seeded Wildcats covered nine of 11 versus winning teams and were a solid 11-2 SU and 8-1 ATS at the Dee Events Center. They also won and covered four straight as a home chalk of three or less on the year. Weber State has the league's best player in David Patten and the rested and ready Wildcats, playing in front of their home fans, will have more than enough to dispose of the Vikings tonight as Weber State wins this one from seven-to-10 points

No. 19 Butler (27-5) vs. Wright St. (22-9)
Prediction: Butler
The Bulldogs destroyed WSU in the first meeting this year, but were on the short-end of a 77-65 tilt in this arena in February. Wright State was in the perfect spot to pull the upset that night and canned 24-44 FGA. They were also afforded a big advantage at the charity stripe. WSU scored eight more points from the free-throw line on 11 more attempts. Meanwhile, Butler hit just 36 percent from the field, including 5-26 from behind the arc. Butler star A.J. Graves made just 3-16 FGA. Yet, it was a three-point game (62-59) with just over three minutes left in the contest. Tough to imagine WSU can play that well again against an embarrassed Butler squad. Finally, Butler is a perfect 9-0 (100 percent SU) following a spread loss, with an average final score of 66-53. Butler lost ATS in its last outing. WSU may need a win to get to the big dance, but "must-win" doesn't automatically mean "will-win!" We'll back Butler to cut down the Horizon League nets on Tuesday.

7-Unit Play Take #728 Weber State Wildcats -2.5 over Portland State Vikings. (Tuesday, March 6. 10:00 pm EST).
I'm going with Weber State and their big home court advantage tonight The Wildcats received a first-round bye and the right to host the tournament by winning the Big Sky regular season title. They're 11-2 SU at home and 8-2 ATS. In addition, Weber State won and covered both meetings against Portland State this season. Portland State is 1-10 in Big Sky games in Ogden, 1-12 all-time in Ogden and have lost two previous Big Sky Tournament games to Weber State. There's no place like home, especially during tournament time. Look for the Wildcats to vanquish the Vikings and advance to the Tournament title game.
