I talked to them today Ricky. Supposedly the story I got was....well hell, here's the cut and paste from my chat.....
: Why are U.S. Customers now switched to bookameker?
"bookmaker"
CS - Joseph: All BetCRIS.com U.S. accounts will be moved to BookMaker.com. Meaning, you will now enjoy BetCRIS services and more at BookMaker.com, All account details and balances are being automatically migrated to BookMaker.com, honoring all bets, deposits and pending withdrawals. Feel free to use your same user name and password to access a whole new world of entertainment with the quality of service and experience you ’ve come to expect at BetCRIS.Powered by BetCRIS International, a recognized sports betting industry Leader since 1985, BookMaker.com provides Safe and Secure sports betting on sporting events, as well as horse racing, online casino games, poker, bingo and mobile betting from any location in the world, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
: yeah I read that..I want the reason why
: Is _____ or _____ there?
CS - Joseph: The BetCRIS-BookMaker.com transition will consist of transferring all BetCRIS United States business to the new brand. This will allow the company to segregate its business in a way that it can properly focus in all its markets: BetCRIS International will cater to non-American customers while BookMaker.com will focus on the US. The management staff and current infrastructure for the BookMaker.com brand will remain the same experienced and professional personnel that was behind BetCRIS.
CS - Joseph: they do not work on my dept. I'm sorry
: You still haven't answered my question...WHY?
: I'm sure your well aware of the new Gaming laws in the U.S.
CS - Joseph: It is a marketing move that will allow us to cater to our different audiences better
CS - Joseph: The transition from BetCRIS to BookMaker.com in no way alters the legal situation of gambling online. BookMaker.com remains an offshore sportsbook that provides a safe and secure service but does not free customers from the advice to determine the legality of internet gambling in their jurisdiction, so they should consult their local governmental authorities or a qualified attorney.
CS - Joseph: Is there anything else I can do for you?
Where are you cutting and pasting that from?
CS - Joseph: we have canned responses in order to help our customers better and faster
CS - Joseph: Is there anything else I can do for you?
That's what I got. I still have my account valid and it's working fine. I can say that I've never had a problem and don't anticipate one. Should be fine.
