YO...IS THIS A WINNER?

I never claim to be a hockey guru..but after reading this article and seeing the clips of the "melee" I have to think going against the Sabres is the play.

Check out this quote:

As inspiring as the Sabres' victory was, the bad news is that Drury, who scored his team-leading 33rd goal in the first period, might miss a few games because of what was described as a head injury.

That means the Sabres could be down eight regulars when they play at Ottawa on Saturday to complete the eight-game season series between the Northeast Division rivals.

Leave it to Stafford, one of four minor leaguers called up to bolster Buffalo's banged-up roster, to seal a game in which both teams squandered two-goal leads.

1.) They are playing the team they brawled with. A payback brawl would leave the Sabres with no reserves of any quality.

2.) Ottawa will be looking for some payback after losing the shootout. In addition, they didn't lose any players for this Saturday's payback game.

Just my thoughts..Takis and other hockeyguru's give me your feedback please. PC's first released hockey play of 07 will be Ottawa on saturday unless takis, zach, or any other gurus say different.

  1. Big Sabre fan here and I dont like the game from a betting view, I think ottawa will be the favorite because they are at home. Sabres are banged up for sure but the guys from rochester are studs, I love clarke Macarthur. They just pulled up Mancari who will more then likely make his NHL debut tomorrow. Emery is a Moran. If he gets the start he will be looking to slash someone in the crease more then making the save. He is proven to be a nutbag,, Sabres will have the edge in goal. They also have beaten them in the last two with banged up rosters. In my oponion the are still just as deep with the injurys. They have 8 forwards with 36 or more pts to ottawa's 3. Ottawa is a one line team. 3 of sabres top forwards are out but they are replaced by guys that would be 2nd and 3rd line players on Ottawa's roster (again in my oponion) I will still ride my Sabre's but hockey is tough to bet when you have rivals playing each other. All of Ottawa's fans will expect round 2. dont be surprised if you dont even see a fight. Buffalo is still fighting for home ice in the playoffs and the sens can not afford to fall any more behind. I like the sabres to win tomorrow because the sens will be playing the whole nite on edge, wondering who is going to hit them or who can they hit instead of playing the game, if it turns into a brawl. I give the edge to the sabres.

    Takis what do you think?

  3. watched the game tonight. kind of a bush league win for ottawa. give the props where they are but buffalo was the better team on the ice tonight. Not sure why the started the 2nd string goalie tonight, that cost them the victory. really wasnt wat everybody expected it to be. the only rough stuff was the 4th liners going at it, but heck, you see that every night in the NHL. congrats who won on ottawa but the did not deserve to win that one.

  4. All right, I hit my Ottawa game and I again say I know nothing about "betting" hockey.

I'm riding on Colorado tonight +190 ML to win at Anaheim. I know the records are opposite, but the Lanche have won all 3 in the series so far this year and have absolutely owned the Ducks. I'll take the Value.

ROLL WITH ME ON COLORADO +190ML @ Anaheim.

1-0 ATS so far (Won on Ottawa on Saturday)
