When the odds come out on Hopkins / Wright... i will be crushing the Wright line.

That dude plays defense in boxing like Ive never seen.... i dont know how the Executioner will be able to hit him. Not to mention, that jab of Wright... damn....

  8. ....if you think going against Hopkins is easy money. For real, remember the last Hopkins fight BP? I absolutely cashed on Hopkins as a bigger dog than he will be for Winky. NEVER GO AGAINST BERNARD AS A DOG..he loses when he's favored.

Just my take..but I have cashed on Hopkin's whole career..no reason to stop now..I'm on both dogs...DeLaHoya always shows up and has my respect for fighting anyone. One last great notch on the Golden Boy's belt in my opinion.

I could very well be wrong..but man...just wanted to remind you last time everyone thought Bernard was easy. Check out his training schedule, look at the guy, check his record in these ATS situations, and then tell me he's gonna get drilled.

Gl boyz...but we're gonna be on opposite sides on Hopkins/Wright.

    peace....

  9. I personally just said that Winky's D is impecable and that Hopkins finds his ways to get in and fight regardless of it not being pretty ... I never said Winky is easy money.. I do believe Vegas will have Winky as a high 100's favorite as Southern Said ... I am more a Hopkins fan than Winky fan .. but DAMN Winky's D is REDICULOUS!!!!! Wasnt their a bout recently where Winky barely won a decision ???? Refresh me who was it ?????

  10. Hopkins took on a bigger Tarver and exposed his weakness. He will do the same against Winky.....+275 on Hopkins givin up 10 pounds to Tarver and your gonna dis em against Winky? THE HORROR!@!!!

MRLV.. I agree.. Im actually working on all the fights tomorrow Night right now as I write this.. I have been a fan of B Hop and never really cared for Tarver.. BUTTTTTTT I add... I agree with you that Tarver Wins this bout.. but for those who dont want to drop 3$ to win per 1$... I am leaning towards Tarver winning a Decision +1.42 ... Be back in a few to maybe elaborate more on shit!

...I'm rollin Bernard Hopkins as the dog..time and time again the man defys the ages. And every great boxer has one guy who can dominate him. I think Bernard Hopkins will surprise the masses yet again.

Good luck fellas, Hopkins for me.

I think we all remember the Grim Reaper's dismantling on Antonio. The guy quite simply can beat anyone he wants. BP..let's go this one...I would love to see Bernard live$$$

  11. HA...all love bro....we're gonna argue this one til the end possibly. I hope I can bring you over to the Grim Reaper's side by fight night.

Who was favored in the fight? Hopkins or Wright? Who will be favored in the re match. Don't go against our boy BP....he's gonna dust Winky. He lost as a fav..he will win as the dog.

  13. Guyz, please dont mistake a recent LAZY Tarver for a HUNGRY Winky....

im telling ya , different fighters.... Tarver has D yes.... but its a lazy D, and its done with lanky arms and a long upper body frame.

Winkys D is tight, thick, and compact......

BP, dont get excited reading all that... were talking boxing here you sicko.;...

back to my point.... i was on Tarver the night he took down Roy Jones. But i have to say, ive been dissapointed with him since. It was more Roy being done that night, than Tarver.....

Winky over B-Hop, and I would lay -200 without a wink....

  14. Oh.. and BP, the fight your talking about... was the two best fighters in the WORLD vs. each other...and Wright got robbed indeed!!!

Undefeated Jermain Taylor (25-0-1) has retained his middleweight title with a three-way split decision draw against Ronald "Winky" Wright (50-3-1). The fight was action-packed throughout with many close rounds that could have been scored either way. Taylor was generally the aggressor, throwing more punches (703 to 643) and fighting more effectively in the center of the ring. Wright was more accurate with his punches, landing more punches (226 to 163) - especially jabs (103 to 41) - and dominating the action along the ropes.

Taylor's left eye began to swell badly in the ninth round after an accidental clash of heads and it seemed to affect his vision down the stretch. Wright suffered swelling around both eyes but it did not appear to impact his vision. After eleven rounds, it would have been hard to argue that either fighter was clearly ahead on points. Yet Wright - apparently feeling that he already had the fight won - danced away the final frame and lost the round on two-of-three judges' cards. Scores were 115-113 Taylor, 115-113 Wright and 114-114 even.

Wright - feeling he had been robbed - bolted from the ring as soon as the decision was announced. Classy move Winky. When Larry Merchant finally tracked him down in his dressing roon, Wright claimed "I don't want no rematch. If I have to come here to get that kind of decision, there's no point." Perhaps once Wright watches a tape of the fight - and cashes his check for $3.5 million - he'll reconsider.

Draws are rarely satisfying but in this case it seemed an entirely reasonable verdict

  15. Now there's a dude who doesn't get enough props. What a great era in boxing has passed. We lost Roy, we're almost done with Zab, the Golden Boy, Tyson is a carnival sideshow now, Morales is about done, Pretty Boy only has a few years...the horror.

I personally think that Jermain Taylor is the only man who can beat down Bernard on any given night. Winky has never tasted the anger in Hopkins.

Anyways..nice to see boxing isn't dying in GP.

    Southern..here's my line prediction:

    Winky Wright -220

    B Hop +190

...B Hop was the Grim Reaper in prison and used the monikor for a few fights during his career. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see his Black with Red trim and the sickle of old during the walk in. Your gonna see this man in all his fury. The reason I'm such a big BHop fan is his incredible life. For anyone that doesn't follow boxing, check out his life story and ask if you can come back from what he did. I will not bet against a man like this.

I hope to God B Hop wins this and then gets one last shot at Jermain. Then, he can retire. I personally think he came back for this fight to shut Wright up and eventually, hope he gets another shot at Taylor.

By the way..where is the fight fellas?

  16. yes It was Jermain vs Winky ... Thank You ...

    Tarver's D is nothing compared to Winky's D ... Tarver's D is done with Jabs ... while Winky's D is like a wall .. so I wouldnt compare those 2 different defensive styles ...

Im not quick by any means to say this will be an easy fight ... I was just talkin to a colleague about that fight .. and we both made the comment.. Winky's D is rediculous .. but if anyone can fight the fight that has a chance through that defense it would be the smart Hopkins ... the question is WHAT WILL GIVE.. Which side.. thats what we have PLENTY of time to break down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PC.. you are right about the ERA ..

  17. hmmmm... im not sure theyd even give him another fight with Jermain , after Taylor took him down twice...

PC..... I agree with that hooded warrior B-Hop, sickle and all.... but.... is that guy gone? remember the Taylor fight....

he came out... no Hood... no warrior look... i was dissapointed... and well, he lost...

listen, ive been a huge B-Hop fan for years.. but i think its over for him... and i think weve seen the last big win for him when he beat Tarver.....

Its a mistake for him to come back... but, like most great fighters, he will....

  20. BP... im kinda glad to see it this low... makes me feel DLH is the right side. If it was mid 200's id be a lil nervous.

Although the pay day might be a lower, im glad to see DLH at +180.

I want to see how he looks leading up to this fight. I want to see the thick muscled up DLH in this fight, not the lanky version... I really think hes got the chance to power Floyd.

We'll see, very excited for this one!

  22. Just booked my bet on Oscar. Dont ever underestimate this guy because he is one of the true greats of all time. When Oscar wants something he gets it done and this could be his final fight. Even though Mayweather is lighting quick I don't think he has the power to put Oscar down. Oscar has always done well against smaller fighters. He will slow down Mayweathers speed by smacking his head a few times. Ill take the +180
