Nissan Open

Southern Swing Play - YTD (3-2) +1.75 Units

Well, if were gonna lose like last week, might as well lose to the champ!!

I was amazed to see a post in the daily forum today from OneStepAhead....I believe he is new here... but I feel he nailed two plays. At least, he posted two that I love as well.

Ernie Els -110 to win over Phil Mickelson

Reports from Els camp on his website state that he left for California a day or two earlier than usual to work on his game over there because of the weather back home. He also reports that because of the school half-term holidays, he will also have his wife and children with him this week and these things are very helpful to a player like Els. In terms of the course, he is a former winner (1999) and it is one of his favourites courses and in terms of his game, it has looked excellent since winning the South African Open in December apart from a blip early in his final round at Dubai.

We love opposing a player coming off a huge win as well. Spells let down for lefty!

Adam Scott -135 to win over Jim Furyk

What is there to say about Scott and Riviera? Scott ranks 1st in current form, 1st in course form, 1st in location (California) form and 2nd in 1-year scoring average (behind Furyk). He has finished 2nd in his previous PGA Tour start this season and 1st and 2nd on this course over the last two years. Im not so much opposing Furyk here as I'm playing Scott. This guy loves Riv!!!

  2. Nice win with Weir (+135) today. Two 3rd round plays.......

    Els -115 over Furyk

    Mickelson -140 over Harrington

Looks like Philly Mick will win this week, and it may be done going away. I did not see this sort of golf coming from him at Riv. Els is on the brink of a great round and saturday seems like as good a time as any.

FYI: If you caught my plays in the wednesdays daily picks you may have taken my long shot Allenby (41 to 1), dont look now but he is only 4 back!!!

  3. my buddy JP tells me Ernie's not quite there yet in terms of his set -up but he sure is playing well considering and must win soon

don't write Harrington off guys he is very dogged and if Phil doesn't shake him off early on Sunday Pod will make him pull out all the stops
