BP's 2 cents for SUCCESS !!!

My Thoughts on TRULY Being Succesful in this arena !!!

BP O.

 Don't be Afraid to LOSE, and more importantly know how to react to a loss! (Know how to lose)

 Choose WISELY, & play a very selective card and stick to that card with control and money management regardless of a loss or losses ... (Controlled Selectivity)

 Don't be afraid to go to bed on a MINUS DAY ... just wake up and work on getting it back in a controlled manner! (Patience)

 Never change your Approach due to a loss or losses. (Control)

 Have a SYSTEM in which you set parameters and values on plays, so you do not win 100 on 1 and lose 1200 on the next. That is not Controlled or Well Managed! I use a 1-5 * System which each have Values, so I always stay controlled and managed! (Money Management)

 Handicapping Long Term is not for everyone and THAT IS OK ... Not everyone can SING or DANCE. If you are not a handicapper or do not have the proper time or skill, simply seek someone who does, but someone who is ESTABLISHED, someone who is PROVEN, and ride them for a long period of time, not 1 week good or bad ... let the law of averages work! IF they are GOOD the Average works out in the end! (Be Realistic)

 To be honest ... It all comes down to these words in my opinion ...

MONEY MANAGEMENT !! CONTROL !! PATIENCE !!

 Those are my TRICKS (if you call them that) to Success in this thing we call Wagering .. If you truly follow and understand something like I wrote above, chances are you are doing good (or atleast not a wreck).

:!: You want to discuss this ? You can PM me here, or I actually have someone on the BallinPicks Payroll, that this is all he does, discuss Money Management / Control / Approaches and so forth with Individuals that ask! Feel free to do so by emailing your information to Consultants@BallinPicks.com (This is FREE & you are not Solicited)

GOOD LUCK!

Listen at this ROOKIE !! He must drive a school bus for a living. Now he is trying to take us to school, MOFO. Don't that shit just KILL ya ??

Oh replying to the wrong topic, my fault !! GOOD stuff BP. You are right on track. What you just mentioned should really be learned before you ever make your first wager. No sense in making COSTLY mistakes and learning by them AFTER the fact, but I think we have all done that !!!

Let me recommend a couple of things also !! This is more capping info then wagering info as BP has stated.

BP talked about a System as far as ranking plays, but have a system in place that you use to cap games and stick by it. Don't go changing your system because you lost 4-5 straight. It never hurts to tweak it, but dont overhaul it. You have to establish a foundation and work your way up. I think Trump did it that way and he didnt do it overnight. Some examples that I use are :

    1) When I look at a matchup, I try to predict the final score before I even tested the first numbers or trends. That way when I'm finished, I can see how far off I am. Pick 5 games that you really like, come up with what you think will be the final score, run the 5 games and see which one came closest to your pre-prediction.

    2) Always and I say Always use a point Index with Home field advantages when trying to calculate a margin. Las Vegas does it and it is factored in, so you need to do it also.

    3) Create opportunities for yourself. Take notes. I don't wager much as I use to and don't have a whole of time, so I take notes. It's the middle of Feb and I already I have 2 * 100 College ruled notebooks filled up with all kinds of shit. It may not help, but it won't hurt, I guarantee it.

    4) Watch games or check out boxscores of games that you HAVE NOT wagered on. Chances are, that team will pop up on your radar and the more you know, the better off you will be. Remember in this game >>>

    KNOWLEDGE IS POWER !!!!

    5) Always and I say Always, TRUST your abilities. Be good at what you do. Don't take shortcuts. Only you get burnt in the end. The 3 things that stay on my desk are - 1) A Calculator, if you dont have a calculator, then you AINT doing nothing because if you were that good at adding numbers, dividing, multiplying, subtracting and %'s, then we would be reading about you in the news. 2-3) Pen/Paper. This is a must have and when you finish figuring out a game, don't throw it away. It's a good tool to fall back on. Thats all you really need !!

BP, that was a good topic to start dude !! Good Job. A book could almost be written on this topic. I could take this up to #100, but it really is no need.

    And by final thought -

Don't be AFRAID of a losing streak. If you don't play, you don't win !! It will come around sooner or later and if 1 gambler out there told you he has never been in a slump, he is full of shit !! Just be careful of money. Money is the MOST EVIL thing in the world. It causes problems, it causes fights, people get beat up over it, some even get killed over it and it is actually dirty as shit, so wash your hands after you handle it !!!!!! It's the #1 most contaminated thing on this planet and we all want it, lol !!!

    Just be smart guys !!

    Good Luck

Sunday brother.... great points added and it is true.... if one reads and is on point with all we (me and you) discussed here .. they would more likely do well and at worse for sure not drown themselves...

As Sunday said we alllll learn the hard way, but those who truly learn from it are those who benefit... and read above you see 2 guys with the right mentality in this.

we are no where near perfect... but I am damn confortable with our outlook and attack.

Yesterday is Yesterday... Today is Today!! Good or Bad, vice a versa!Keep that also in mind when you're placing your wagers! Be confident and trust your instincts! The research and gut feelings will pay off!

Just got in and had a few e-mails concerning that Tech*Uva breakdown.

I did not list the whole system. Hell, that would have taken me 2 hours or more to do so.

That is a 5 prong system and the numbers that I posted was just 1 piece of the puzzle.

Man there are a lot of of thangs that I didnt mention, like Injuries, suspensions, traveling distance. You also have to figure in the Total score of a game which takes about 20 minutes alone, FT's, FG %, speed. To be honest, I HATE to cap a game because it can be very time consuming and I am BAD for taking shortcuts.

To Honestly breakdown a game in detail, it will take you at least an hour, but if you hit for $500, that is a pretty decent hourly wage huh ?

Anymore questions, feel free to ask !!

Good Luck and I'm tired. Phuckin BP kept me up until almost 4 this morning !! That MOFO is prolly still sleepin and I had to work and I know that Nigga was off !!!
