Mike Weir has finished in the top-5 in each of the last four years in this event. To add to this, Weir has been a career specialist in Pro-Ams. He won the 2003 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and that started a run of six top-5 finishes in his last ten pro-am events. He has introduced some swing changes over the off-season and so it may take time for his desired consistency to materialise, but he shot no worse than 70 in every round last week and played particularly well on Sunday to be 6-under-par for the round apart from a double-bogey on the 17th hole. I wouldnt be surprised here to see another top 5 appearance from Weir.
To contrast this, if anyone has seen Phil over the last few weeks. He's been shaking his head quite a bit. He is not at ease with his swing and has had no confidence on the greens. To be honest, he's looking more unfit than usual.
Ill side with Weir getting the +130 odds.
Good Luck all.
