  3. Did you guys see the second half of MSU vs. Ohio State ??!! Drew Neitzel was simply unbelievable!

Well, I think Izzo has finally got the Spartans to play great defense and run the offense with precision. They have a tough schedule which continues to night at a tough Assembly Hall in a Nationally televised game on ESPN at 9 eastern.

I like the Spartans in a close, low scoring game tonight. Brian Randle is doubtfull for the Illini. He's the key for them and it's showed the last two games as he has not played in two blowout losses, albeit on the road.

I just think Michigan State has found their stride on. I think they could have some tired legs which will probably lead to not a great shooting night, but their defense and rebounding should lead them to the victory. They are executing and not turning the ball over like they were earlier in the season.

Here's a little tidbit from the Lansing State Journal:

"The schedule from here certainly is elite, so the "edge" Izzo desires must remain in place. Recent humiliations in Champaign could help keep it sharp entering tonight's contest.

"We kind of still owe Illinois. We owe them," Izzo said. "I'd like to win down there, and then - I'll be honest - I hope this place (Saturday) is ready for a heck of a homecoming."

Izzo is not going to allow his team to lose tonight. Big REVENGE factor here as well!

I obviously bleed Green and White, but my mind and gut tell me that the Spartans are the play tonight!

    Michigan State +3

    Over 121

Don't like the Over near as much... I just think it should be more like 128. It should be a low scoring game, but the treys could be flying from the Illini and also Drew Neitzel.

  5. Only my second play here in College Hoops this year. Rolling with:

ILLINOIS -3 (revenge game here for the Illini; the Spartans have won four league games against the bottom four teams; I believe these two teams are evenly matched; I'll lay the points; Illinois wins a tight one by 5-6 points)
