Whew! Detroit holds on for the cover! Hamilton buried a couple free throws to help the cause! But as usual, if I win a close one, I must lose (or push in this case) a close one! I don't know how the hell the Bucks didn't win this game by 5 or more! A couple of bombs away threes for the Knicks in the final minute helped to keep them around in this one! And yes, Mo Williams missed a free throw in the closing seconds (LOL! A missed free throw by my guy at the end of a game! That's wierd!) We move on to another day:

MINNESOTA +6.5 (PUNCHOUT) (I have a wierd feeling that the T-Wolves will end that Suns win streak and avenge the loss from a week ago; and yes, I'm crazy!)

NEW ORLEANS -4.5 (PUNCHOUT) (the Hornets are on a nice little ATS run right now, and I see them rolling again here in this double revenge spot)

ORLANDO -4 (another revenge game here as the Magic look to take one in Atlanta after losing to the Hawks three days ago on their home floor)

    Also going with:

UTAH -2.5 (the Nets have been on an ATS terror, but I see a 7 point loss here to the Jazz on the final stop of this five game road trip; Utah continues our revenge theme of the day)

I am going to start posting from time to time when I see, what I think is a good situation. Tonight poses one of those situations. Hard to argue with how the NETS have been playing lately. But this Jazz team has the ablility to take advantage of a team looking to get home. Also this is a matchup of West vs. East. With a team at the end of a long roady and the West vs. East matchup, I like the Jazz to cover the number.

    Jazz -2.5

Sorry I screwed up the board, can anyone delete it?????

Kirilenko, Boozer likely to miss game with injuriesESPN.com news services

The Jazz likely will be without two starters when they host the Nets on Monday night.

    Kirilenko

    Boozer

Carlos Boozer will miss his first game of the season with a knee injury and Andrei Kirilenko likely will miss his second straight game with a sprained right ankle.

The Jazz won't know how long Boozer will be out until more tests are conducted, trainer Gary Briggs said Sunday, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. Boozer had an MRI on Sunday, but Briggs wouldn't disclose the results.

"We won't know much until we do more tests," Briggs said, according to The Tribune.

Boozer bruised his left knee in a collision with New Orleans' Tyson Chandler in the first quarter of Utah's 94-83 loss to the Hornets on Saturday night.

Boozer knocked his left knee with Chandler's right knee as Chandler jumped to catch a lob pass from Desmond Mason.

Kirilenko expects to return sometime this week.

"Maybe two, three, four days," Kirilenko said about how long he may be out, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

The 6-foot-9 forward missed five games after spraining the same ankle in November, with the Jazz winning all five.

Kirilenko, eighth in the NBA in blocks, was hurt while trying for a block on Denver's Marcus Camby in the second quarter of Utah's 116-111 win Friday night.

Kirilenko, who was chosen to the NBA's all-defensive first team last season, is averaging 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and two blocks per game this season. All are below his averages from last season, when he missed seven games with a sprained right ankle.

Boozer is second in the NBA with 33 double-doubles this season. He ranks 15th in the league in scoring (22.6) and fourth in rebounding (12.0).

FWIW...I'm not sure why, but I have started receiving this guys picks and I thought I would share the email...

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Paul Bovi's Panorama Sports

RECORD AT 16-4 YTD Finally lost one last night.

Tonight's 3.5 Unit play is again complementary for our email subscribers.

    Nets +3.5

Reason: Nets swung out west only to experience the bitterness of 3 consecutive

1 point losses before besting the Nuggets by 10. They take on the Jazz without

Boozer and Kirilenko which I believe will severely damage the Jazz' chance to win,

Carlos being the scorer, and Andre being the pest that he is on the defensive end.

I look for New Jersey to close out in fine fashion with a W in Salt Lake.

The line is +3.5 now. Grab it early as I would expect this to fall.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once again, this is an email that I just received and I thought that I would share...

i gotta swing with the Nets backers tonight...

I have found that teams on the last game of a road trip invariably come up with the goods (I have no stats to back this up - just personal betting exp) And I also subscribe to the theory that the Nets will be more pumped for this game on account of losing those 3 games to open the road swing. They will be thinking they should be 3or4 wins for 4 games and not a miserable 1 for 4, so I think they put in a big effort tonight too...

I know that you normally have poor value backing against injuries, but in this case I think boozer n ak are massive loss. Millsap will fill in nicely and he will bring plenty of energy on the boards, but Nets will contain him

Really, the loss of Boozer is major to them. Utah has looked to pound the ball inside to him all season long, and most teams have had most success against Utah when they have managed to shut Boozer down.

Furthermore, you got the likes of Okur in a major shooting slump, going 10-35 from the field & 0-13 3pt fg the last 2 games. so if the Jazz cant get their outside shooting going then they are not going to win this game, and the only reason that Okur has been able to get great numbers this yr is him getting easy layups with Boozer taking the dbl teams. Fisher is playing out of rythm too, leaving Deron Williams to take on the majority of the scoring (and Utah do better when he is creating not doing the scoring - he'll have to do it all tonight)

I would love to get a bigger line. Value was at 3.5, 2 is skinny and you might just be better off taking the ML - so long as the nets dont lose by a pt again!

NETS +2 or ML, cashes in... (taking the 2pts cause I would be sick if the nets lose another heartbreaker...)

Here's my 2nd play for the NBA board in 07

    1-0 ATS since returning....

ROLL WITH ME ON Portland/New Orleans under 179 1/2. I have followed the NOOK team all season and have become a fan of Paul and subsequently, the role players on that team. Jackson and Pannergo have ressurected their careers there. While neither team will make the playoffs this year, this game should be a defensive low scoring battle. Take note that NOOK hasn't given up...giving solid defensive efforts as evidenced by 4 out of their last 5 home games going under. I think Portland has very little offense behind Zach...no offense to rookie of the year candidate, but this game has under written on it for me. I just don't know who is gonna step up and knock in 30+ to get the over. Good defense, not much offense, and a majority of the public on the over leads me to believe we got a good play here. Let's not forget the boys dropped a 240+outting last time out for Portland. That's not gonna happen again.

    Let's roll...Portland and Nook under 180.
