Churchill Downs picks are posted in the Horse Racing section.
Good Luck to everyone wahering on Pollards Vision. Good Horse that would benefit from an OFF track. Pray for the slop !! I will lay off of the horse b/c of his starting post and his tendecy to wait until challenged b/4 he gets going. Good Luck.

Well I hate to say it but i told you all so. lolz just kidding man.
GTNP i hope u went with my nuggets.
I also won a 4 teamer with BILLZ HFA#1 and HFA#2 along with my OAK -1.5(140) and NUGGETS +13 it was a 1:16 ratio... big $$$$$ guys i've been hitting alot of my plays. Lets keep it going.

Pitching matchup:
Florida - Carl Pavano (2-0, 3.33 ERA); 2003 vs. San Francisco (1-0, 2.70).
San Francisco - Jason Schmidt (1-2, 5.63); 2003 vs. Florida (0-0, 3.00).
From the stats as you can see...Carl Pavano has done fairly well against the giants so I look for them to home out winning this game outright. They've also been the team with the hot bat so this is my underdog pick of the day. Goodluck on who'm ever you may pick.

Consider Florida with Pavano against SF with Schmidt, Florida is plus 130. Fla. is 9-4 on the road against rightys.SF is 5-10 home against rightys.Pavano has a 3.33 road ERA going 20 inn giving up 7 runs.He averages going 7 inn. per game...Schmidt has a 5.62 ERA giving 11 runs in 16 inn. averaging going only 5.3 inn a game.Fla seems to be hitting the ball with more consistency....CONCERN: HISTORY Schmidt is 6-0 against Fla with a PAST ERA of 3.78. Pavano is 2-2 with a history of a 5.12 ERA......My impression Schmidt is not in a good rhythm and pitching poorly in comparison, and Fla. should be taken as the time is right!!!!!!!!!!!!
Consider PITT with Perez(minus 108) against MILW. and Obermuellr
Consider Arizona with Johnson/Padillia under 7 1/2.
Taking Randy Johnson in this particular timing,in my opinion, is too good to pass up. HOWEVER a major consideration is the disability of ARIZ. major hitter and before you do this you must evaluate, and feel comfortable about this situation.
AS ALWAYS....THIS IS JUST A GAME WHERE THE MAJOR PLAYERS JUST MAY HAVE HAD A BAD NIGHT AND IT SHOWS UP TODAY!!!!

I may not have made a clear statement and I wish to address this. I took Ariz with Johnson at minus 115 last night when the line came out. IT is minus 134 now. You must consider if this is a reasonable choice for yourself knowing that Sexson is out for ARIZONA.

Saturday, 5/1/2004 AL LEITER (L) vs. JACOB PEAVY (R) Peavy has been very strong against the Mets only giving up 2 ER in 13 innings his last two starts against them last year. Have to respect Al Leiter but he does his best work at home. Peavy at home this year has an ERA of 2.04 with 17.7 IP, giving up just 4 ER, 17 hits but also striking out 17. Peavy has had a bit of hard luck in 2 of his 3 home starts only getting 2 runs of support in those games as the Padres have gone 1-2. Leiter on the road is carrying an ERA of 2.70 but only has 10 IP and is only getting to the 5th or 6th inning in those starts. San Diego carries a 5 game winning streak and we will ride them today as they look to make it 6 in a row as our Play Of The Day. This is a 5% Play
