I find that when players are tired, it's the defence that suffers. I liked the under in this whole series, expecting 2-0, 2-1 games, but that first game shocked me.
Not that this helps, but I just want to warn you that tired players don't necessarily mean low scoring games. I'm at work, so I don't have time to look at the numbers yet. Late game, so I have time tonight.

I'm with you on these picks Takis. Here's some numbers:
In the playoffs, the Senators are 5-2, winning on average by a score of 3.6 to 2.4. Their two losses were by one goal each. At home this season they were 27-17 winning by 1.2 goals per game.
San Jose return home with confidence to a building in which they are 27-16 this season. Detriot is .500 on the road on the season. Look what Calgary did to them in games 2 and 3. San Jose won both games here this season, outscoring the Red Wings 14-5!

I cap my own games as well as picks I pay for. I'm certainly no expert capper. I wouldn't sell my picks lol. This is my last year paying for those. I wouldn't normally pay for hockey, but it was a package. I use Wunderdog sports until the season's over. They stink at Basketball, but hockey and baseball is good.
I've learned a lot using them and I don't feel the need to buy any more. I'm usually equal to them in picks. Mostly, I don't have the time to research to be a capper.

I like the unders on both games, but there's too much juice.

I'm rollin Detroit Red Wings tonight. Why PC you ask? Well, I know a lot about hockey..I bet most in here couldn't name the original 6 and city but who cares. My point is this.
As a long time Blues fan the Red Wings and the rest of the conference killed any chance I had of seeing Pronger and McInnis (my all time favorite 1'st line defense pairing) win a cup. The Wings and the Avs always mowed us down.
This year's Detroit team is not one I'm used to. The old guard is almost gone. No more Bowman magic, I missed the "ov's" line (RIP Vladdy Konstantinov) and that strong left wing lock. But looking at this year's team the Dominator and Chelly still have plenty of hockeytown magic. I will play a vet laden Wings team in the playoffs getting money back all day. Of course I'm not any kind of pucks capper, but in honor of our boy Takis running and JABBING his way down the ice..I thought I would throw a hockey play out.
GL Tako..I'm probably the other way (USA and Canada game again with the home side up North) than you..but I thought you would enjoy my first hockey post. I'm rolln the Vets and the Dominator tonight.

Both keepers are having a great series and I like the fact that both teams seem to getting fiesty as the series goes on. Hoping we don't see too many Penalty Minutes tonight but I think it's gonna be a fun game to watch because of the good defense which will lead to some brawling. Roll with me on the keepers and trends.

All right Takis 2-0 so far in the post season. I'm on the under again tonight. Buffalo almost never gives up 3 goals at home against a defensive opponent and tonight the high juice again suggests an OT or close defensive game.

I'm taking San Jose tonight.
Detroit is 2-4 on the road these playoffs. Both wins were in OT and they only beat San Jose last time here with a defensive mistake in the last minute to enable Det to tie it up. Plus, Mattieu Schneider is out.
San Jose is too good not to revenge the 4-1 loss and they will not lose to detroit at home.

It happened last night, I dont' see it happening Thursday...still riding high from Drury's heroics.
Roll with me on Buffalo -1 1/2 +200...if you can't stomach the high line roll on Buffalo ML -150.

PC, you were due for a loss. GL on the next one. Had problems with the site yesterday, and I couldn't post.
I had Ottawa +120. First game, I just figured they were hungrier. I do think the Sabres will win game 2 and the series though.
Tonight, I'm on Anaheim+130. Man, Anaheim has looked good these playoffs. Detroit's loss of Schneider will hurt them here. I expect a low scoring game too, but the O/U is 4.5, so I'll lay off.

I've been riding Detroit all playoffs and they have cashed every play I roll on them.
Anaheim is a very trendy pick to upset HockeyTownUSA but how can Anaheim get this much love? A lot of people I know and respect on the pucks love the Ducks tonight and for the series. I can understand the series bet but Game 1 in Detroit with both teams rested makes it interesting. I can't tell you the team history without digging, but I am rollin Detroit tonight as again I will back Chelly and Dominator's quest to get to the cup. They haven't let me down yet, I hope they don't tonight.

All right, we hit on Detroit last night..Tonight I'm playing the total.
Even though Game 1 went to 7 goals, if you watched the game you know Ottawa got 3 late and 2 were garbage. I was very impressed with the fore checking of the Sens and their ability to frustrate the offensive rushes of Buffalo. Drury in particular looked to have trouble creating. I will roll under 5 1/2 tonight because Buffalo has to have this game and their defense is also solid. Even though Buffalo was the top scoring team in hockey the Sens seemed to have found a way to get after it defensively.

Guys, let me tell you about Pronger. Edmonton would have done nothing last year without him. He changes the rest of the team. Last year, when he had a bad game, Edmonton lost.
this is a big play for me. Detroit has owned Anaheim this series with Pronger. Wrong team favoured here.

5-2-2 ATS on post season.
TOnight I like the under 4.5 +115 in the Ducks game. You've heard me spout all playoffs about Chelly and Dominator. Tonight, the Wings will try to win back home ice. I don't know if they will, but I think you'll see a much more aggressive front line from the Wings. And I don't mean offensively. The fore checking will be much stronger tonight.

I live in Ottawa, and I'm a Leaf fan, so no home bias, but how can you go against a team playing this well?
From my capper:
The Senators are 12-3 and have knocked off all three prior opponents with relative ease in five games. They crushed the President's Trophy winner Buffalo, starting out with two road wins in a tough environment. If they can do that, they can win this game. Sure, Anaheim has also been impressive but the line value is with the Senators here as they have at least a 50% chance of winning this game. Both teams have played inspired defense in the playoffs - it's why they are here. Each has allowed just 2.1 goals per game. But, Ottawa's offense has been better. They have averaged 3.2 per game while the Ducks have managed just 2.6. While not terrible, 2.6 goals per game for the Ducks is a concern. It's a full half-point lower than their season average which means that tough playoff defenses have had an effect on them. And, they will be facing a very tough defense in this series. Ottawa is 12-5 this season vs. the elite teams in the league (those averaging 0.5+ goals per game margin of victory). Anaheim fans should also be worried about the long 7-day break for the Ducks as they are just 5-11 the past two seasons coming off 3+ days of rest.

My opinion tonight if i was playing would be the under but i am not going to bet i don't think. Take into account also that even though the Sens played outstanding hockey they have had a LONG layoff and this often will have an effect on a team where they won't come out as strong as earlier in the playoffs.
Besides, how can you go against Guiggy?
Either way, GL in this game, I personally hate to bet championships!

Boy, the Sens looked flat. Moneycanada called that. Too much layover. I think I'll lay off the next game, but don't expect Ottawa to be so slow. I hope the Sens tie it up coming home.
I had the over last night that pushed. I ran a stat. These playoffs, the first game of the series went over 5 goals 9 times, under three times and pushed twice.

There is a reason the juice is high on this game. The sens have momentum, first line change and the Ducks are missing Pronger. I know that the Ducks won the game against the Wings when they last missed Pronger, but that was at home. this game is different.
