NCAA Picks for Saturday Dec 2nd

To help pimpin out..I'll throw out 2 of my 3 plays. I'm waiting on a total on one of them....(Big XII GOW)

Anyways..I'm sure you know this but I'll say it all the same. I'm posting these lines now as I see them on Friday night..they could jump significantly for/or against us. So, if you like it, maybe wait. I think in the Mo Valley the line will move in favor of my play. I will post the lines tonight and then tomorrow book them and list them at what I played.

Here we go:

Mo Valley GOM #1:

ROLL WITH ME ON MISSOURI STATE -14 1/2 @ home against Santa Clara.

Lets's start with the logic:

Missouri State didn't get into the dance last year even though they won 20 games, had an RPI in the top 20, and finished 2nd in the Mo Valley Post Season tourney to Bradley (Some of you remember the run we had in the Mo Valley tourney last year$$$). Anyways, Mo State, the school formerly known as SW MO State, has a lot of secret weapons that make them better than most of the country know.

Let's start with Blake Ahearn..did you know he's 59% from 3pt land going 20/34 to start the year. Did you know the PG has a career 94% Free throw percentage? He's just one cog that is back from last year's team.

Here's the Bear's schedule so far this year:

Nov 11 Toledo Won 79-66 1-0

Nov 19 Delaware St. Won 77-54 2-0

Nov 21 Lincoln (Pa.) Won 88-56 3-0

Nov 24 Wisconsin Won 66-64 4-0

Nov 25 Oklahoma St. Lost 70-73 4-1 (undefeated at 7-0)

Nov 30 Alabama St. Won 89-49 5-1

The bookmakers knew how good Mo State was when they listed them as a 3 point favorite to close against Wisconsin. Santa Clara is travelling across the country and this is one of my main reasons for playing on the Bears tonight. Santa Clara is playing a night game on the West Coast against Alabama State. That puts them back on the court in less than 18 hours including a 3 hour flight into Kansas City or maybe even direct into Springfield, MO...either way..travelling won't be the funnest for Clara and they are walking into a lion's den in Missouri. They play great defense at home, they have one of the best PG's in the country in Blake Ahearn, and your gonna have a travellin team coming into the house with a decent RPI. The Bears focus this year has been on winning at all costs and not letting the committee decide their fate. WIN BIG AND WIN AGAINST THE BEST. Remember Nevada beat this team by 8. I personally believe that Mo State is a top 15 team.

The high line does have me worried and I think it will go down over the course of the next day. However, the bookmakers got it right with a high line, I was gonna hammer this play expecting a line of 8 or 9..but they jacked it to open only confirming my opinion that Santa Clara will be out of it on Saturday night.

GL..I think the Bears roll

Mo Valley GOM #1: Mo State -14 1/2..however I will wait to see what the line is in the morning.

Out of Conference Play:

Roll with me on Pepsi's beloved Kentucky Wildcats. Are you kidden me? Getting 9 1/2 against a team as young as them? Let's not forget the big game against Ohio State just 3 days ago. Cats are gonna be fired up and UNC will have to match the intensity level they had for the Buckeyes.

Classic let down game and I wouldn't be surprised if the Cats steal one in the Dean dome.

ROLL WITH ME ON KENTUCKY + 9 1/2

I'll be back later with Big XII GOW..I'm waiting on totals to be posted. Pimpin if I see it before I go to bed ( I work at 5:00AM too tomorrow) I'll send it to ya or post it here.

Good night fellas. Let's roll on Saturday. I'll re post my record when I "play"the games. Kentucky is booked, Mo State I'll wait on line movement. Take care players.

  4. Teeks and I occasionally do the PM thing and after my post he sent me this great link. This is a big reason I'm on Mo State..I grew up in KC, MO and I know what a pain in the ass it is for teams to catch games at Mo STate. Thanks for the info teeks...should make the play stronger.

  5. Marist –5.5

Experience vs youth tonight as UR starts 4 freshmen (and a former walk-on) while Marist starts 4 fourth-year players. I’m sure public will be all over Marist based on each team’s last game (and UR losing to ODU 69-52). Marist had a good home win over ODU (84-71) and UR had a horrible home loss vs Radford (67-50). Damn what would this line be if UR had won that game?

UR has been outrebounded in each game this year, including –18 vs ODU. 7-footer Smith (7.4 rpg) should have a field day. If they double him, plenty of open looks for Whittington (44% on 3’s).

    UR’s last 3 games.

Beat Longwood 83-72. However, they shot 72% for the game and still only led by 5 with a few minutes to play. Longwood first team to pressure UR and it forced them into 20 TO’s and clearly rattled them down the stretch.

@ ODU L 69-52. First team they played with any size, UR gave up 14 offensive rebounds.

Lost to Radford 67-50. That’s the same Radford picked to finish 7th out of 8 teams in the Big South. In the 1H UR had four made FG’s and 11 TO’s. For the game, -9 on the boards.

Young team already lacking confidence. If Marist jumps out early, could really demoralize Spiders. If it weren’t for each team’s last game, I’d be real big on this game, but a little concern of Marist maybe being overconfident after their win and seeing the pathetic UR loss.

Also going outside A-10 but staying in Richmond.

    Houston/VCU O147

Both these teams get up-and-down the court. A change for VCU from the past, as Anthony Grant (former Florida Asst) has them pressing and trapping. Each team forces over 21 TO’s per game, so this should lead to quick scores off steals, or quick scores breaking the press.

    GL.

    A-10: 1-0

    Other: 0-0

  6. All right, here's what I got..

Mo Valley GOM: Roll with me on Missouri State -14 1/2 @ home against Santa Clara.

Big XII: Backed down to a regular play. I was gonna lay the wood to the under, but Vegas is catching up. They listed it pretty low for this game. So, I'm going to roll the Aggies 1H -10 1/2. They dominate on defense and Pacific has no idea what's in store. I'm not kidding when I tell you I think Texas A and M is an Elite 8 team right now. They will give Kansas all they can handle in the XII this year. And did anyone watch Mizzou against Arkansas? The Den of Thieves I guess is open for business now in Columbia.

    Roll with me on A and M `1H -10 1/2.

Out of Conference: Kentucky +10 1/2.

    GL players.
