MINNESOTA -8 (PUNCHOUT) (after a first glance of this line, you would think the T-Wolves are laying too many here, but the Blazers still must prove they can hang on the road; Minnesota snaps out of the four game funk tonight with some revenge from ten days ago and wins by 12-14 points)
UTAH Pick (PUNCHOUT) (both teams have started out strong this year, but the Clippers have done almost all of their work at home; the Jazz have won at home and on the road; the key here, though, as Wolf already stated on the Daily Picks board, is that the Clips have always struggled at the Delta Center; no Kirilenko and no Giricek tonight, but that doesn't scare me)

back in the day I used to fall for this the whole time... playing against a team that got beat last time out.... ie portland +8.5 @ minny tonight...
JD will tell ya that its minny all the way...
so 2 things:
that ol feeling of liking portland in this spot persists, and
8.5pts... thats too much... last year, it wasnt half enough, this year, its just about 2pts more than I would think it... so its value play... not all in play, value play, but i'm sticking it in...
lets hope I can trust my gut better than last night picking NJ
