NBA PICKS FRIDAY NIGHT
200 Dime NBA WINNER....UTAH JAZZ
Utah went deep with its bench in Wednesday's solid home win over the Rockets as the Jazz will stay insdie this number tonight at Phoenix. The Suns haven't found their shot just yet and they won't be able to cover this large number tonight...TBC
200 Dime NBA WINNER....PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
I was impressed with what I saw from this Portland team it its win at Seattle the other night. This evening, the Blazers will stay inside this number against the consistently disappointing Warriors. Eric Musselman couldn't get the Warriors turned around nor could Mike Montgomery. Now it's Don Nelson's turn in his second go-round by the bay. And by the looks of Golden State's Wednesday night effort in a sorry loss to the visiting Lakers, Nellie's not going to get this group of underachieving bunch of former lottery picks heading in the right direction either.
I mean, Mike Dunleavy (two rebounds and two baskets in 27 minutes Wednesday) is a dud and point guard Baron Davis had tiple the number of shot attempts (19) as assists against the Lakers. That's not what you want in a point guard folks. Meanwhile, the Blazers look like they have a prize rookie in Brandon Roy, who scored 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting in Wednesday's upset win at Seattle. Zach Randolph came huge (30 points, 10 rebounds) while Juan Dixon (18 points) was solid off the bench. This Portland team, based on last year's dismal effort, is going to be an undervalued club every on. Nate McMillan is too good a coach and he'll have his Blazers in this game all night. Take the points and ride with Portland.
