SF +5.5 ( i would play them down to 4)
Minny travels a bit West after a short wk where they were exploited in the 2ndary.
Mike Nolan should have his boys 'up' to play a home game after being embarassed @ Chi.
Norv Turner knows Brad J real well and knows his tendencies. they will look to exploit them as Brad is struggling and feels the pressure of being benched soon.
Minny is horrible on the road on grass.
i can easily see SF staying within the points, even if they get behind early as they can put together points when pressured.
SF gets back both their veteran OL this wk and that will be a big boost. meanwhile, Minny's stud DT, K Williams, might be out for the game. Pat Williams is also banged up.
Minny is...
2-14 ATS before playing GB
1-8 ATS v NFC West
14-25 SU last 39 on grass
TB+1
revenge game for TB as they almost beat NO @ NO already 9it actually took a Bush punt return to save them).
Grudens boys have already beat Palmer and Mcnabb @ home, so Brees wont be impossible. if Billick can fins=d a way to beat No at NO, then Gruden will be able to study the tape and find what balt exposed (minus the freebies, of course).
Gruden is 7-3 ATS as a Dog.
TB is...
6-2 ATS last 8 v. NFC South
Dog is 7-2 last 9 in series
finally, why did the line start at a pick 'em? How cant Americas favorite team not be favorite, especially after a loss?
75% on NO
Hou +13
I like the fact that the Giants are one of the top teams being bet by handicappers on covers, yet the line hasnt budged. If the Giants play as flat as they were last wk, this will cash in, especially if they are going to miss plax. We already know that they are going to be without Lavar.
I like Carr playing with his back against the wall and I am confident that Kubiak has him prepared as a wonderful QB guru.
i had this sent over to my email. this is great info...
On paper one would assume that the New York football Giants will steam roll this Houston squad. The fact that New York is 11-3-1 ATS in its last 15 tries in the second of back-to-back home games while Houston has just one cover in its last seven non-division games is also cause for concern. Despite that fact, I feel compelled to side with the visiting Texans this Sunday. Last week the Giants were able to win and cover despite only scoring 17 points, while accumulating only 16 first downs and punting the ball 9 times. This does not bode well for the Giants ATS chances this week, as they are 0-9 ATS (-13.5 points per game) after they scored at least 10 points fewer than their season-to-date average at home and 0-8 ATS (-7.4 points per game) as a home favorite the week after a game in which they got a first down on less than 25% of their offensive plays as a favorite. This situational spot does not apply just to the football Giants, as we also have a league-wide system involving a team that is playing their second home game in as many weeks and they are off a weak offensive performance. It reads, the league is 0-11-1 ATS at home off a home game in which they scored at least ten points fewer than their season-to-date average, failing to cover by an average of 8.5 points per game. Yes the Giants are playing with a ton of confidence riding an impressive 4-0 SU & ATS run, but having to lay nearly two touchdowns makes them greatly overpriced. In the past they have not rewarded their backers in this situation, going 0-7 ATS as a 7+ favorite on artificial turf after a straight up win as a favorite, falling short of the number by a whopping 12.1 points per game. In summary, the situation and supporting technical data is ripe!
Det +5
system play here and, why not? why cant Det throw up enough points on this horrible ATL D to stay within 5-6 points?
Det gets back 2 starters on the OL, Verba and Tucker.
i will ride these system plays and like my chances of a backdoor cover.
Pitt -3
love the fact that the line started at -2 for a team that people have written off (just like last yr). Coach Chin and Salaiva loves these situations.
Denver is in a prime "fold after a tough loss' situation. you cant run on Pitt, especially with Porter coming back, and i like my chances with denv having to rely on Snakes arm. is this the game for his melt down?
i leaned Den until the Chat rooms stud capper has Pitt as his biggest play of the day. there are a few guys i will follow blindly and he is one of them.
other system plays...
Miami so far
other lean...

Hey nooch, looks like we are on the same page today! Last week was not good for me in the NFL, but I was due to lose some time! I am rolling with these:
My Plays (17-10-2; 5-0 PO's):
WASHINGTON +3 (ev) (PUNCHOUT) (I'm sure this will be the unpopular play of the day, and that is why I'm hitting the Skins hard; they are coming off the bye week, and I'm sure they remember the beating they took from the Boys in Week 2 on nat'l TV; Dallas saved their season last week with a big W in Carolina on nat'l TV, so of course they will be public darlings today)
TAMPA BAY +1 (another shot with the Bucs as home dogs; I'll take that any day; they are fighting hard every week; they were overmatched on the road last week by a better team, but not this week; the Saints are better, but not that much better; little revenge from a few weeks ago in a game they could have easily won)
DETROIT +5 (all of a sudden, Michael Vick is a stud QB after two good weeks, yeah right!; let's see what kind of hype he gets this week against a bad team; he won't be sharp; he's going against a bad team; the Lions had some extra rest with the bye week, and they will stay within the number)
SAN FRANCISCO +4.5 (I believe the Niners can actually win this game at home; the Vikings are such a wishy washy team; after seeing that MNF game, I believe this team is just mediocre; they are up and down, and should be a good betting team the rest of the way, whether on or against)
PITTSBURGH -3 (-105) (what an odd line this is; Denver would seem to be the play here, getting points on the road; exactly why we go the other way; turnovers continue to hurt the Steelers, but I think we will see a sharper team today; the Steelers can stop the run, unlike the Colts, which leaves it in the hands of Jake the Snake; I can always deal with that if I'm on the other side)
NEW ENGLAND -3 (-120) (I booked this on Thurs. at -3 ev, but I will post this now b/c that's where the line is at; we all know the Pats have owned Peyton and crew in recent years, and that won't change today; the Pats were embarrassed on Mon. night by the Colts last year in front of the home fans, but it's not happening this time; Indy has escaped with a few close victories this year, but they won't escape this one; if New England had been -1 or lower, this would have been a Punchout)
Trend Plays (9-8):
None this week

Hi Guys,
Atlanta -5
Atlanta’s coaches and players have gone back to training camp this past week. Mora won’t let there be a repeat of last year’s game against the Packers and the 05 collapse. Even with a week’s rest and preparation the Lions won’t be able to keep it within a touchdown against the Falcons. This is my T-bone special.

ROCKMAN's writeup:
Another profitable Saturday which I hope transitions into a wonderful Sunday.
PITT -2.5 (50 Unit) Top Play (4-0 this year)
Denver is in a prime "fold after a tough loss' situation. you cant run on Pitt, especially with Porter coming back, and i like my chances with denver having to rely on Plummer's arm.
Denver will be flat after scoring a season high last week and losing at home. To make matters worse, they travel to face a team with its back against the wall and did everything but win last week.
Pittsburgh is 24-9 ATS at home off back-to-back losses, including 17-2 ATS in non-division games and 15-0 ATS in those non-division games when coming off a SU and ATS loss.
Denver is a terrible 3-8 ATS on the road versus an opponent off back-to-back ATS losses, while Pittsburgh is 3-1 ATS in this series (last 4) and the host is 5-2 ATS.
I'm laying the points here with the Steel Curtain. They win by 10+ points.
