To Vegas, Takis and the rest of the family.
I lost last night on the Celtics, thought that it would be great emotional game but didnt win. I have lost some loot the last two years but it is not anyones fault on GP. A couple years ago when everyone was capping and putting in opinions I made a ton of $. Vegas can say what he wants because the guy just does what he does, and that translates into winners. He has never offended me personally with what he says, and I have not seen him offend anyone else. Takis has been around since the begining and all he does is consistently win. Along with losing the two of them, we have lost HFA's which were hot last year. I am a streaky capper which is why I only post when Im hot, because when Im cold I dont want anyone to lose b/c of me, but the gentleman above are consistantly good, and I know personaly that I would want them all to come back and we could all make some money, and save some money from the rest giving some constructive criticism, like someone telling me not to bet the celtics last night because of whatever reason. But to all the great cappers thank you for putting in the time and effort to cap the games I appreciate it and hope that it continues.

i don't criticise any posters but i can understand guys getting het up when someone comes on telling us how much they won on this and that when the whole idea of this forum is for guys to share picks and info,yes i do think the guys went overboard but to react in this manner well to me seems a bit like a child throwing his toys out of his pram
anyway thats just my opinion maybe you will reconsider and maybe the guys will all just try and get along

Hi Guys,
Great win last night with Boise State. A little closer than I thought it would be because Fresno came up with a couple big scoring plays.
Tonight's game has all the elements of a great matchup. I've been looking at this game since late last night and it's obvious why Vegas has this as a PK or -1pt game. My early lean was toward WVA, but after analyzing the stats and looking at the matchups, I think Louisville has a very good shot to win this game. I think this game will be very close and will likely come down to one key play or turnover. I don't like betting the line in these games because it really is like a coin flip. I think the real value here is in the O/U. In these big games on national TV, my experience has been that the under is the play. I'm on the under tonight. Good luck whatever you're on.

Good afternoon gents... Tonight is one of those games you don't even have to bet to watch the game.. Should be two really good teams in this game that means a lot... I think Louisville has the better team here and with them at home I see it as an excellent play... WVU has some great offensive weapons but I think L'ville can shoot it out with the best of them... I love the fact that I see 77% on WVU and the line hasn't moved... Vegas loves when the public jumps on a road dog, and so do I... I'm taking L'ville tonight -1 but wll wait till close to game and hopefully get it at a pick...
Here are a few trends from a buddy..
Play Against - Road underdogs (W. Virginia) - with an excellent defense - allowing 4.5 or less yards/play, after outgaining an opponent by 225 or more total yards in their previous game.
(39-12 since 1992; 76.5%)
This system is 7-1 ATS since 2002 and 26-7 ATS since 1995.

Louisville is 12-2 ATS as a home favorite and 8-1 ATS at home following a road game. I like those numbers particularly when West Virginia is 1-5 ATS after covering 2 of their last 3 and 4-4 ATS after covering as a double-digit favorite.
If Louisville remains a pk or favorite, they fall under an excellent system of mine which dictates investing on certain home favorites (or pk) versus undefeated opponents in week 6 or beyond. This system is 24-4 ATS since 1995. Now, if Louisville becomes an underdog, this system improves to a perfect 9-0 ATS.

loiuv -1 for 5 units for me. they're gonna win this game. wvu's defense is overreated in my opinion. look at the teams they've beat and the offenses those teams posess. loiuv is the real deal. loiuv in a close one. the state of kentucky gonna be rocking after tonight. lol

I am also on WVU. As an ND fan (and alum), I hate when people use the argument "they haven't played anyone." It doesn't mean a team is weak, it means they are UNTESTED. And yes, WVU and Loua are both untested. But WVU was untested last year and still made it into the BCS, with many people irate. Well, we all know how that one turned out.
For tonight, I think WVU is the better team, with Brohm still rusty and they are playing a second string RB. But he did rush for 165 yards last week...against SYRACUSE.
People talk about the home field of louisville but they haven't beaten the likes of WVU at home.
As for the line, not sure how people can say it's not moving. It was +/- 3 and now on sportsbook it's a pick.
My play is WVU.

Slamo- i have the same system stats also. I use them to affirm what i already feel. i really liked louy for a while now.
you guys want to know what really good capping is about? a "think out-loud" discussion between Rocko, BP, and I last night on tonights game. this was done in chat last night.
i cant remember a game where Rocko and I have lost that we concurred on.
here is my feelings so far (for a game of this magnatude, i will wait until game time before i hit "send".)
Louy (p) - this might be a MAX BET here...
U 56 (i hear that it is going to be VERY cold by game time. i would like to get the wind chill reading by then).

if i have time, i will do a write up for the LOUY play. I was 1000% with the V TECH play and I am 500% with this play so far...

louy has had 11 turnovers in the last 4 games. so, if they take care of the football, they should take this thing by 6+. (the odds were set on the recent trends: Louy not covering in their last 3 games has more to do with them turning the ball over so much. now, if they play with intensity and focus on taking care of the ball, that trend should change...)

Brohm hasnt played well the last couple of games but this will be the 3rd game back. he should have his feet under him better now and a better feel/rythm for the game again like before his injury.
(for WV)- they have that damn gimmick "O" that gets defenses off balance. Louy "D" needs to stay strong and fast up front. if they can do that, it could be a long one for WV as they cant throw to win a game...
WV return team is more explosive also...
as BP pointed out, they only have 1 common opponent. but,i still cant get over how bad Louy crushed Miami. say what you want about how bad Miami is, that could have been the loss that did it to them. and, as bad as they might be, they are many levels better than who WV has played. additionally, they didnt "just beat them". they crushed them and demoralized them when all the squares thought that Miami would take that game...

Since this is a huge game I figure why not keep the dialogue going.
You seem to have a lot of "if's" and "should's" in your analysis. You are right, IF louisville doesn't turn it over. IF Brohm shakes the rust, he SHOULD play better. IF the defense stays strong against the gimmicky offense. With a game of this magnitude, I don't know if I would want to back a side that has so many contingencies.
Also, with regard to the weather, I think it favors WVU's ground attack. They generate rushing yards in so many different formations that the Loua defense will be tired in the 2H.
To be honest, this really is a tough game to pick but it's great to get opinions out there. I am by no means a solid capper but I sure do watch a ton of college football. I respect the analysis of those on Louisville but my guy tells me it goes the other way - WVU for this guy.

I am playing Louisville this evening...hoping to get it at a pick by gametime....Once again this is not one of my computer system plays which I am 6-1 ats since posting with my only defeat being the pussies from Troy last sat. I fricking lost first half, second half, and game line on those southern california scum suckers. I am an 'SC alum which made it worse...Back to tonights game...I feel as if whichever team makes less mistakes(15 yard personal fouls from late hits etc.) will win this game. In my opinion this will be the Cards.

EXACTLY BDOGG! great observation there. thats why i havent pulled the trigger yet and, believe it or not, i might just lay off and hammer the Hockey game.
we feel so compelled to play football all the time because there is so much more emotion wrapped up in that sport and, lets face it, this is an emotional thing that we do...
like i advised a "square" friend of mine that wanted to go 10(X) the normal amount on the Super Bowl because it was the freakin SB, '...why do you want to go crazy on this game, because its the SB? i dont care if its a wager on which of 2 old ladys cross the road first, if it makes money, then it makes sense...'
in other words, playing huge football games like this is like getting POCKET ACES, we can over play them way too easy...
i would rather win $100 on a lower division farm league base ball game than lose 5 dimes on a high profile game like this...

i agree man,same shit as usual. why cant everyone just take the picks for what their worth. takis and vegas were both money to us. if you played a game they had and lost then suck it up. thats why its called gambling,cant win them all though we would all love to. now we have 2 less people to give us their insights.
bottom line is that the picks are theirs and they can choose to do what they wish with them. its your own choice if you play them or not. in the long run,the great cappers here will win us money and thats what counts.
