BP....I figured why not, the numbers looked good enough on the hockey game. I usually only bet on games with line movement against the public, I dont know y i played Balt....but i did.
Its funny how successful you can be betting only on line movement and public percentage.

Understanding Vegas is more important than knowing a sport inside and out. sounds crazy and most may disagree, but I KNOW FOR A FACT, that is true .. because my success is relying on Vegas and not analyzing trends, I do not use trends or anything of that sort in my selections, and I personally have done well overall in 2005/2006.
How many times bro ... how many times, have I or you or someone with the same philoshophy, put out a play that looks ludakris, because everyones like theirs no way, because this guy is that much better, or this team is that much better and so forth... and we still win haha.... the obvious loses more than not .. if it looks to easy it is more then not .. if a line looks trappish it probably is more then not .. once everyone understands stupid shit like that, the quicker you win overall .... KC this weekend was a perfect example huh .. LOOKED WAY TOO EASY, and off stupidity somehow someway they did not cover ... Seeing that line was enough to make me look past that game ha!
Lastnight, the truth is, we both went against our philosophy. with light public on BALITMORE, the line still increased on Denver, but yet me and u suckered ourselves in to Balti regardless ... all good .. Like I always say .. You must know how to lose, in order to win !!!!!!

BP i completely agree, i actually took Ariz in that game. Last nite i couldnt fight off BALT in my head winning even though the way i usually pick would have suggested Denver. O well, we will just make it back 2 nite. Thinking Detroit...i gotta keep an eye on the line

Alright fellas. I have been researching this game, and here is my play.
Oakland A's ML -135
Here's why :
The A's dont have the best offense in the league, far from it, but home vs lefties isnt a bad spot for them. They hit .263 home vs left (det only .266 road vs left) and are 13-7 at home vs lefties. A's are hitting .352 in their last 10 against lefties. Detroits numbers are good too, but most think DET offense has a big edge and in at least this game I dont really think so. DET is MLB best 18-11 road vs lefty...must be noted. Only NYY, Min, Tor had better home vs left winning percentage than Oak though. Bascially everyone is talking about the pitching and I think you might see some offense tonight. I won't play over as I am looking more for unders in this series, but game 1 isn't the best spot with Zito at home and Detroits weakest starter. Bottom line, for game 1 I dont think the gap between offenses is big enough to offset the fact that Oak is throwing their ace and Det is throwing their #4. Of course this is reflected in oak being a medium fave, but you would think Oakland would be a heavy consensus fave with Zito's name and a guy like Nate Robertson that most people havent heard of. It's not an unpopular fave, but in the mid 50's is not that high for the home team with the better pitcher. People like Detroit here because they think they have the better team and better offense and they kept hearing during the yanks series they have the best ERA in all of MLB. Well, Oak is up there too, and I would venture to guess only Minny might be better since the break. Zito is capable of putting up a better outing that his home numbers indicate, especially since he has postseason experience and solid numbers against the tigers, while Robertson I don't see doing anything but having an average at best outing. Pens are both good and A's are home....Its always scary to bet on the 'boring' team, but the A's plain and simply win baseball games. The A's are the play for me. GL!
