Making a small play on the Cardinals for the series at +170. I was surprised it was this high.
I think in a longer series now, the Mets' starting pitching injuries will catch-up with them, especially now that Oliver Perez will have to pitch. In Maine's start vs Cards, he gave up 7ER in 5IP. Glavine, Maine, Trachsel, Perez….not exactly a scary thought for the Cards.
One thing the Mets have going for them is that Weaver, Suppan, and Carpenter are all righties. (Mulder beat them earlier this year 1-0, but then in the other series they clobbered him....doesn't matter anyway since he's not pitching). Trachsel pitched great in that game, but at Shea gave up 6ER in 5 IP.
A few high scoring games: at Busch....... 8-3 Mets, 1-0 Cards, 6-3 Cards (Lima Time), at Shea: 8-7 Mets, 10-8 Mets, 6-2 Mets. Overs could be a nice play.
With Glavine going Game 1 at home vs. Weaver, Mets need to get that win.
I lose this bet, at least the Mets are in the WS. I win and it’s dirty money (but I’ll take it).

Man I hope I lose this bet. I am fired up (and hungover) after last night.
The ghosts of Mookie and Mex, Darryl and Doc, The Kid and El Sid come out tonight at Shea!!!!!!!
Now all we need is a starting pitcher. Maybe Kazmir can get the start. Oh wait..........

I hope the Mets take it too teeks!!! Booked them in the series after game 5 for a nice +270!! Well, either way one of us is making $$$$!!!!
