Here's my play for the first game.
Sorry PC. I'm on the over 9. Here's why.
A factor that has me siding with the 'Over' is the fact that HP Ump Mike Everitt had a very small strike zone this season, and saw his games average 11+ runs on the year. The 'Over' was a perfect 4-0 this year when the posted 'total' fell on 9 runs. The Twins bats have been silent this entire series when it's mattered most, but I foresee that changing this afternoon in this crucial Game 3 match-up with the A's. Danny Haren really floundered to close out the season, and his ERA paid a stiff price for it. He's 0-2 with a bloated 8.10 Era his L/3 starts, and he's given up 24 hits (5 HR's)in only 16 innings of work during that stretch. Haren's wildness just might be the cure to what's been ailing the Twins bats the first two games of this series. Look for both offenses to flourish as the 'Over' cashes for the first time in this series. GL!!

lost in all of this prideful silliness is a great write up by Jivo.
i really like looking into the Umps and have yet to do so. if the Ump really does have that small of a strike zone and Haren has givin up that many hits in 16 innings... you might have a valid point (more base runners = greater probability...)
i need to get into the hips of this game myself and get a feel for it.
thanks for the write up. regardless of what i decide to do, it's very helpful info. kinda what this board is supposed to be about...

I'm not exactly sure why this game is being played, but it is CFB, and many will be tuning in to get their final weeknight college football fix. The Louisville Cardinals come into this one off their "BYE" week, and have been a decent proposition in this spot covering the number 9 of the L/14 times. That being said, the Blue Raiders look to be the cream of the crop in the SBC, and I think they'll do their conference proud and hang within the lofty amount of points they're getting this evening. They're coming off a shutout of SBC rival North Texas last week, and should come into this one confident about their showing. That being said, Louisville has the talent on hand to literally run circles around this squad, but I highly doubt HC Petrino will put any of his studs in harms way once they build up a big enough lead. This isn't Kentucky he's playing, so I don't see him running the score up just to be a **ick like earlier this year against the Wildcats. He also doesn't want any of his starters to injure themselves in this scrimmage. Look for MTSU to compete with the 2nd and 3rd stringers, and stay within 4 tuddies of the cards.

DETROIT +145 (ROGERS) VS. NEW YORK (JOHNSON) 8:05 ET
The Tigers put forth a game effort yesterday afternoon in the Bronx to even up this series at one game apiece. Now they get to go back home with home field advantage in their back pocket. It's up to them to use it to their advantage, and I foresee these next two games in Motown being all out wars. Kenny Rogers flat out loved pitching in Comerica this season. He went 7-3 overall and sported a solid 3.26 ERA. The Tigers won 12 of the 16 games he started at home. Randy Johnson has been having problems with his back, and I foresee that playing a major role in his effectiveness this evening. His effectiveness wavered to close out the year anyway (7.64 ERA & 24 hits in 17 innings of work L/3), and a bad back will only make maters worse for him and the Yanks. That's exactly what I'm expecting, and I also love the fact that the Tigers went 33-20 against southpaws this season. Detroit was only a dog this size three times this year, and they went 2-1 overall. This was the best team in baseball at one point this year, and Comerica will be unlike anything the Yanks have experienced in quite some time (Remember the rally monkey?). Look for them to feed off the enthusiasm of their crowd and crash as nice sized dawgs for the second day in a row.

now i'm really leaning towards OAK -145.
i believe that the pub should be on them seeing how bad they are at closing out series the last few tries. but this is a different situationMinny isnt Bos or New York. also, their bats have been sound a sleep for quite some time.

First of all, I'm not even gonna comment on the DRAAMMMAAA (pronounced DRAM-a) on the board. My only take is that Takis is an original GPer, Southern came down the road, they both post plays, and if Takis got offended, then something is probably wrong because the guy loves this site and has done a ton for it since the CBS board days.
While I'm rantin, what happened to just posting plays on this board? Currently there are 61 posts on this board. Guess how many have a play attached to them?
Last take...I have always been honest about my record. Currently I've been capping at a 42% clip the last month and a half. That's one of the worst stretches of my life. The reason I can keep playing is the help of strong cappers like Perry Como, DollarBillz, Ricky (yeah the godfather is money, you guys just don't know it..he's the humblest of us all), Takis, Hayastan, Dawg of Vegas,MrLV, Jdelt, TOD, axd717, GoCubsgo, Madx, PH, GTNP, Cokeman, and so many more.
I've also gotten help from new guys (at least new to me) like Slam, PYPD, Nooch, Sholtzz, Skydivin, Wolfman, Winstrol, BP and many others who are guys I've just gotten to know in the last year or two.
I haven't gotten "the business" for losing plays at under 50% clip from anyone. This site should never have that. Sometimes it's an ego, sometimes it's striving to be the best. But I would bet ya that 99% of this site has "real" jobs that they go to.
Get back to basics, Cap, post, and win or lose, root on the boys.
Now that I ended up getting on a soap box, here's my plays for tonight
Tigers RL -1 1/2 -105
Twins under 9 (still pending)
College:
Rollin on Middle Tenn State +31 1/2...I shopped this line and it was the best I could find. Pure gut play, don't follow me because I'm not that solid on college. But I do like the dog in this one.

and you forgot me PC! It's Ok because I don't have an ego. Either you play my picks or you don't. To be honest I don't post my picks for people to play. I post them because it's who I like to win the game or cover the spread.
But, there are guys on here who seem to think they are better than the rest but that is there right. Who cares about records and stats just post a play and let it ride.
