The Ducks quacked as expected and totally DOMINATED the Avs yesterday afternoon with yet another shutout. I have another pick that I like already for monday night and maybe I will add another one later in the day. For now here is this one:
Monster Picks(3-0)
The juice is high for this one but I am up a lot lately and there is no reason to lose this game. Toronto Blue Jays ML -168 currently at Oasis with Halladay squaring off against Weaver. Lets start with Weaver who is 1-4 with a 6.43 ERA and he has struggled tremendously the last bunch of years. Career he is 5-8 with a 5.58 ERA vs the Jays which is nothing to be proud of either. The Angels have struggled offensively in May scoring more than 3 runs just one time in their 7 games which won't fare well against Doc Halladay. The Angels struggle with pitchers who throw strikes because they all swing early in the count and will chase shitty strikes which is what happened with Janssen this afternoon and will make things easy for Halladay. Doc comes in with a 3-1 mark and a respectable 3.73 ERA considering 3 of his 5 starts have been against the Yanks and Bosox. Although his career marks vs the Angels stink, he should pitch well enough tomorrow and control the game to get the Jays the win.
GL!

Congrats to the Mavs backers yesterday, but the Mavs may have just given the series away in that one game! If they won that, I believe they would have had a shot to win it! I thought they outplayed the Spurs, but didn't make enough big plays down the stretch! If you outplay the Spurs and don't win, I believe you are in a alot of trouble! As for the Pistons, what an easy game that was! That will be the easiest play of the series, but I only had an opinion on it! I'll just have to sack up one day and play double digit favs. in the playoffs! We move forward on a five-game losing streak with the plays:
Play:
L.A. CLIPPERS +5.5 (I still think the Suns are not that good, despite the comeback against the Lakers, or as I say, the choke job by the Lakers; Fresh off his MVP announcing, we will watch Nash struggle against Ross and Livingston; this is a hungry Clippers team that matches up well with the Suns)
Opinion:
MIAMI -4.5
Playoff Record: 14-11
Punchouts: 5-1
Opinions: 16-6
ML Plays: 10-5 (+5.6 Units)
Series Play:
L.A. CLIPPERS +180 (PUNCHOUT SERIES PLAY) (what a great value we are getting here; the Clippers proved me wrong in the first round, and I believe they will show all of us in this round that they have the right pieces to compete for a title in the near future)

Interesting JDELT, because I too think the Suns for the last two seasons have been heavily overrated BUT for some reason I think they are now flying high after coming back to beat the Lakers from down 3-1. They did so convincingly and I think they will run the Clippers off the court mainly because LA hasn't played in a bunch of days. I think LA is the better all around team with a great frontcourt in brand and kaman and very solid backcourt but the Suns are a tough matchup. In my opinion the Suns take Game 1 but I don't think I will bet it with you going the other way. Will watch the line tomorrow and decide.
The other game I am watching, however, is the NEW JERSEY DEVILS. They won't be embarassed again and with the line where it is after the Canes dominance in game 1, it is interesting to see how the public will bet this one. Good Luck with everything guys!

cant say they are overrated guys... I love Defence and it does make all the difference...
but I am going to take Suns -5.5
only reason they struggled with lakers is Odom... complete nightmare with being undersized lfor a forward like marion. so suns couldnt get an edge on him offensively or defensively. that will be different tonight. I think brand/kaman are formidable, but they are going to have their hands full trying to guard the matrix and diaw with their range.
Suns to roll em...

....I agree with you TQ...Suns should wax poetic on the Clips who will be shaking off the rust. The better bet in my opinion, is 1H..but I agree with you and rolled on Suns. Not counting on my posted record because I am releasing 1 day but the Clips will not keep up with the Suns tonight and they should be cold from the floor in their first game in over 4 days.
Good luck all, man I love the playoffs

Miami -4 (buy the hook).
Miami leads the league in rebounding and is 2nd in FG %'s. therefore, there wont be as many fast breaks for the Nets.
Wade should frustrate Kidd defensively.
just hope that Shaq can hit above 60% of his FT's...

Miami -4 (buy down)
Clips +6 (buy up)
LAA +180 (just for the value and to fade the entire public. you would think that the juice would move more than 10).

correction: i got LAA at +160. sorry about that.
i wish i could get a better read on the NJ/Col game for NHL tonight.
anybody get a good "feel" for it?
as fr the Suns game, they can run but really dont have any inside game. i think that the Clips can run also and will keep with there inside game to beat the Matrix and Comp down. hey, if Kwame and Odom were able to do it, what says that Camen and Brand wont?
GL everybody

hey fellas....not a good sunday..but its the start of a new week, and im going to make a play on the team i know most...i am 6-0 in games involving these commie bastards...
Chicago Cubs ML -105
Ok, the cubs have been struggling, with their offense just sucking. However, the padres havent spewt the Cubs since 92 and the cubs have their ace of the season going, in Maddux. Maddux knows if the streak is going to stop, he is going to have to be the one to stop it. Maddux goes 7 strong tonight, with Howry and Dempster cleaning up the end. This one will be low scoring, maybe 4-2, 5-2 type of game. Cubbies take this one.
I am staying away from the late big public play, the astros. I dont like going against lefties, especially Lowry. Yeah, he's coming off the DL but he is a tough pitcher. I wouldnt be surprised to see a Giant win. However, Bonds and Alou are not in the lineup. I will lay off.
Nooch, It's great to have you back!!!!!! Hope to catch you in the chat sometime!

Man, what a streaky year for me (and right now, it's a bad one)! Good call on the Suns guys! Phoenix won't score 130 the rest of the playoffs, though! The Clippers need to slow the game down, and they will be fine. The difference in last night's game: 12-4 edge for the Suns on three-pointers made! It might be time to fade me until I get a win! Let's try again:
Play:
DALLAS +3.5
Opinion:
DETROIT -11
ML Play:
DALLAS +150
Playoff Record: 14-12
Punchouts: 5-1
Opinions: 16-7
ML Plays: 10-5 (+5.6 Units)
