The trend goes like this

PLAY AGAINST a team in a B2B situation ON THE ROAD in the 1st Q ONLY that lost the previous game when leading AT HOME after 3Q and then went on to lose game OR loss the game in OT.

Make sure you remember, the team must have loss at home in game 1 and must be on the road for game 2 and the play is only for the 1st Q.

This system has done well the last two years, something like 24-7 in 2003/2004 and 13-5 in 2004/2005.

Reasoning behind the system...

When a team is winning at home at the end of Q3, then ends up blowing and losing the game straigh up they get a bit down.

When you add all the hassles of starting a road trip to the mix you sometimes find a bunch of guys sittin on a plane with a mind-set of thinking about the one behind them that got away,

instead of focusing on the game in front of them.

Result is they sometimes come out flat in Q1 before shaking it off and getting back to the task at hand.

Two things that I would like to add to this

Both losses this year (and just recently I might add) have been wagers AGAINST the Knicks (not sure if that means anything).

We actually have two games that fit this scenario tonight

Washington lost to Boston 115-116 last night after having a 3rd Qtr lead of 90-80.

Minnesota lost to Houston 87-93 last night after having a 3rd Qtr lead of 67-61.
