okay finished the week on a 1-1 day yesterday, losing the OVER on DAL/CHI (DAL scored their 4 goals, CHI forgot their 2) and winning the UNDER on OTT/EDM....we finished up at 11-7 (61%) for the week, not stellar but ahead of the game....

small card but couple things stand out....that are strong plays in my opinion....

TOP PLAYS

TOR/BUF OVER 5 -115

here's a few of trends....

• Over is 5-2 in TOR’s last seven on the road.

• Over is 5-0-1 in the last six meetings.

• Over is 11-1-3 in BUF’s last 15 overall.

both these teams have good goaltenders, why these games turn into a goal fest is beyond me other than the two teams have systems that create more than usual scoring opportunities....in all four meetings this year we have the 6, 10, 6, and 8 goals scored in those games...there is no reason the trend doesnt continue tonight...

CAR (+0.5 -105)

here we have two teams that are essentially out of the post season...so in my opinion we can lay some wood here..(i hate when one's in and the other's out, toounpredictable)....Canes have been on fire lately, 4-2 in L6 and Thrashers are 2-3-1...

add to that the Canes thumped teh Thrashers 4-2 two games ago,..goalie Irbe has been playing outstanding for the Canes in the net, plus we Weekes as a partner (very good resume also)....plus the Canes just TB by a score of 5-1 in the Bolts home rink (very impressive)....we like the Canes to keep doing whatever the hell their doing (makes no sense why they start now) and take another one tonight.

SMALL PLAYS

BUF (+0.5 -120)

ya that line is right....Sabres have had the Buds number all year, look at this...

• BUF is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.

• BUF is 14-6 ATS in their last 20 home games.

again this makes no sense because on paper TO is a better team, but this a team game so we are siding with the team that knows how to beat an opponent and has proven it all year...we like Sabres at home...we like the fact they are 5 pts out of the last spot for the post season...we like that the 8th spot team NYI is struggling....all these add up to BUF seeing some light for post season....and they come hard at the Leafs tonight....

the only reason I have a small play here is Znitnik is out for the Sabres...if he was in we'd be looking very closely at banging this one hard...
