Fair dues PC if ya picked Detroit. ya bastard
Anyway, onto tonight, its actually a pretty decent nba card tonight, plenty to like ...
Hornets -4.5 *** wont get into it, but sac are short handed, hornets playing in front of a 'new' crowd - I like it
Trailblazers -4 *** Francis been suspended, not that it really affects my decision, was on them anyway, orlando poor travellers - i'm sure orlando will probably be galvanised by francis' absence now just to annoy me, but lets hope not
Memphis -4.5 *** Very surprised to see this booked so low... nets wont live with the very excellent griz at home
76ers -5.5 *** I'm starting to run out of stars to hand out here... celtics are shocking as far as am concerned, they got a good road win last game out but sixers coming off a loss look like winning this for me
Bucks -4.5 *** shorthanded bobcats badly stuck without brevin...

Free Pick for Friday from Pakman of The Linesmen
***Although I have missed my last 2 freebies posted on here...my Free Plays as posted on our website daily are still doing very well 19-7... since Dec. 1, 2005. Fade if you like !!
Harvard -3 vs Dartmouth ...7:00 PM EST
Tonight's Free play takes us to Hanover, NH ...as the Crimson of Harvard take on the Big Green of Dartmouth. Harvard comes into this game with a
9-5 record. Dartmouth has a dismal 2-11 record so far this year.
So...you have two teams here that have almost identical "strengths of schedules" so far this year....with one team at 9-5, and the other at 2-11 !!
Harvard just beat the Big Green one week ago by 13 in Cambridge.
Dartmouth has lost 10 of its last 11 contests with its only win coming against Army ..possibly the very worst team in Division 1 ! They have already lost by 3 at home to Stony Brook....Yes..I did say Stony Brook !.... and also lost at home by 31 to Vermont ! I really don't think that Home Court advantage will play a part in this one at all. Harvard is simply the much better team, and should dominate from the opening tip-off, and win this one by at least 10 points tonight. Lay the 3 !
Pak
Good luck, and have a great day everyone! Nail da man hard...right where it hurts....in his fat old wallet! Ha!

NBA trends (1/13)
What a difference a year makes. The New Jersey Nets were 12-22 last season and coming off their first game without Richard Jefferson. This season, the Nets are sitting atop the Atlantic Division with a 19-13 record despite losing their last outing at San Antonio without Jefferson. The setback snapped New Jersey’s 10-game winning streak.
Jefferson’s vacation may be brief, as the star forward vowed to return to the court Friday night at Memphis. Jefferson sat out Tuesday's loss to the Spurs with back spasms.
The Nets will need all hands on deck to cope with a defensive-minded Memphis team that has dominated them in the past. The Grizzlies have won and cashed five of their last six versus New Jersey. The lone spread loss occurred in the last meeting on Beale Street when Memphis recorded an 89-84 victory as a nine-point favorite.
Memphis has won six of its last seven and has 'covered' four straight and five of six as home favorites. The Nets have won eight of their last 10 away from home, while cashing six of seven as underdogs.
The last three series encounters at Memphis have tumbled 'under.' The Grizzlies have been on the low side in 10 of their last 12 at home.
Trends and angles for the remainder of Friday's card appear below.
WIZARDS at PACERS
Indiana has won and 'covered' its last three versus Washington, including a 111-87 romp in the initial test this season as seven-point home favorites. The Pacers capitalized on the defenseless Wizards that night by shooting 59 percent from the field. Indiana has won four of its last six games after dropping four straight. The Pacers are averaging 102 points in their past seven games. Washington is 3-7-2 ATS versus Indiana, losing and failing in four of six on the road. The Pacers have 'covered' six of their last seven as home favorites. The 'under' is 6-3 in the last nine series clashes. The Wizards have dipped below the number in their last four outings.
BUCKS at BOBCATS
Milwaukee won all four meetings versus Charlotte last season, getting the money in the last three encounters. The Bobcats have faltered in seven of their last nine ATS at home and in five of seven as home dogs.
HAWKS at KNICKS
New York notched its fifth straight victory in 2006 Wednesday when it held off Dallas in overtime, 117-115. The Knicks will be looking to atone for a 122-111 loss at Philips Arena in the first meeting of the season when Atlanta shot 63 percent from the floor. The Hawks also won in their final visit to New York last season, 137-135. The Knicks had won seven straight and nine of the previous 10 series encounters. They have cashed four of six versus Atlanta at home. Ten of the last 12 series tussles have eclipsed the total, including the last five when the teams combined to average 223.2 points per game. New York has zipped 'over' in 12 of its last 14 chances. Conversely, the Hawks have dipped 'under' at a 5-0-1 clip.
CELTICS at 76ERS
Boston trumped Philadelphia at TD Banknorth Garden in the first showdown of the season as a 1 1/2-point favorite, 110-103. The combined 213 points eclipsed the closing total of 208. Allen Iverson and Chris Webber were the whole show for the 76ers that night, scoring 68 of the 103 points. The Celtics have cashed four of their last six at the Wachovia Center, splitting six decisions straight up. Boston has 'covered' four of its last five as road dogs while Philadelphia has floundered in five of seven as home chalk. The 76ers have taken the high road in 11 of their last 16. The Celtics have slipped 'under' in their last four games after zipping 'over' in nine straight.
KINGS at HORNETS
Sacramento atoned for its embarrassing 26-point loss to New Orleans at Ford Center when it beat the Hornets at home as seven-point favorites in the last clash, 110-100. Nomadic New Orleans will be playing its first game of the season at Lloyd Noble Center, the home court of Oklahoma University. Sacramento has 'covered' six of the last nine series meetings. Four of five clashes on the Hornets' home court have been on the low side.
NUGGETS at T-WOLVES
It remains unclear whether Kenyon Martin (lower back spasms) or guard Greg Buckner (sprained right wrist) will play for Denver at Minnesota. The Nuggets drubbed the T-Wolves at home in the first meeting as six-point favorites, 102-91, thanks in large part to a 54-30 rebound edge. Denver won't have Marcus Camby, who pulled down 22 boards at the Pepsi Center, in this meeting. Minnesota has won five of six series meetings against the Nuggets at Target Center (4-2 ATS). Ten of the last 13 tussles have tipped 'under', including five of six at Minnesota.
MAGIC at BLAZERS
Orlando has come up short in its first two stops on this four-game trip by 17 points against the Clippers and nine versus Seattle. The Magic had dropped five straight against Portland before winning in their last visit to the Rose Garden and romping as 3 1/2-point home favorites in the first meeting this season, 104-89. The Blazers caught the Lakers napping Wednesday and they took advantage, snapping a six-game slide, 113-103. The combined 193 points in the first showdown this season eclipsed the closing total of 173, snapping a six-game series 'under' run.
HEAT at SONICS
Seattle will likely be without shooting star Ray Allen when it faces Miami. Allen was facing a likely two-game suspension after getting into a scrape with Orlando's Keyon Dooling on Wednesday in a game the Sonics went on to win, 113-104. The Heat have bounced back to win their last pair on the highway by double-digits against Portland and Golden State after losing in their first two stops. Seattle has won four of six versus Miami, including two of three at home. The Sonics have bounced 'over' in 12 of their last 13 at home and the Heat have followed suit in seven of their last 10 road tests.

WELL GUYS IM JUST SICK TO MY STOMACH LAST NIGHT. BEFORE THE GAMES WENT OFF YESTERDAY I DISCUSSED WITH A FEW GOTPICKS FELLAS DOLLAR, MARIO, ETC ABOUT HOW IT WAS MARK MESSIER NIGHT, YES ONE CHIME BELIEVE ME I KNEW A GOOD OLD SIGHT SPORTS INSIGHTS SCARED ME OFF WITH PUBLIC ALL OVER THE RANGERS. NOW ONLY THE RANGERS WHO WERE GONNA BE A GOY, BUT THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS HAD THE NEW COACHING THEORY PLAY AND I LAID OFF THEM AS WELL BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST DOGSHIT AND CALGARY IS GOOD AND WAS GONNA MAKE NYI NHL GOW AND ALSO CALL IT THE NEW YORK PARLAY. WELL I DECIDED TO GO WITH REVENGE GAME FROM XMAS DAY AND THOUGHT THE SPURS WOULD PLAY WITH SOME PASSION IT WAS A DISGUSTING DISPLAY AND JUST A BAD CALL. WELL IM HEADING SKIING AGAIN SO WILL POST NOW FOR THE WEEKEND AND IM ONLY GOING WITH ONE PLAY, NO BEST BETS OR PARLAYS I HATE THE CARD BUT ONE GEM STANDS OUT ABOVE THE REST. ANYWAYS AFTER SWEEPING LAST WEEKEND ON HERE IN THE FOOTBALL AND ON JTTHEBRICK I CALLED IN MY PLAY LAST NIGHT TO JTTHEBRICK AND HE WANTS ME TO TAKE A PAGE OUT OF THE BOSTON HERALD GRAB A 900# AND RETIRE ON CAPE COD WITH MY MANSION LOL THAT WOULD BE NICE, BUT NOT MY STYLE. HE SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT IN ALL HIS TIME IN RADIO AND KEPT SAYING DOCUMENTED WHICH WAS THE MAIN POINT. NOT SURE IF ANYONE OF YOU GUYS LISTEN TO HIM BUT HE IS HUGE AND MAYBE SOMEDAY I SHOULD GO PAY SERVICE BUT NEXT YEAR I WILL POSSIBLY TAKE SOME OF MY 60K WINNINGS IN FOOTBALL AND ENTER THE HILTON CONTEST AND BRING THAT BABY HOME. ANYWAYS, ONTO THIS WEEKEND I THINK LAS VEGAS REALLY CRACKED DOWN ON THE LINES AND IM ONLY ROLLING WITH ONE GOY AND THAT WOULD BE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS+145 AS I TOLD JT THEY WIN OUTRIGHT NO NEED FOR THE POINT SPREAD. THIS IS NOT THE SAME I REPEAT NOT THE SAME TEAM DENVER FACED IN WEEK 5 IF YOU THINK THEY ARE YOU ARE ONLY KIDDING YOURSELF. THERE WAS NO BRUSCHI, DILLON, GIVENS, SEYMOUR.. WE HAD DWAYNE STARKS AT CB WHO IS NOW CANNING GROCERIES SOMEWHERE IN THE USA. OUR DEFENSE IMPLEMENTED TOOK SOME TIME TO GEL AND LEARN BELLICHICK'S DEFENSIVE SCHEMES AND NOW THEY ARE ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. TOM BRADY A LITTLE GUY YOU MIGHT ALL KNOW IS THE LEADING PASSER IN THE NFL THIS YEAR AND WILL HAVE HIS WAY WITH THE YOUNG DBACKS OF DENVER. I EXPECT A GREAT GAME BUT THIS IS THE SAME TEAM THAT HAS GONE INTO MANY HOSTILE TERRIORIES BEFORE IN THEIR FIGHTS IN THE PLAYOFFS AND HAVE COME OUT ON TOP. YES THE AIR WILL PLAY A FACTOR, BUT ITS GOING TO AFFECT DENVER AS WELL. THE FRONT 7 OF THE PATRIOTS ARE PLAYING BETTER THAN JUST ABOUT ANYONE IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW. BELLIECHICK IS 6-0 REVENGING A LOSS VS A TEAM SINCE WITH THE PATRIOTS AND BRADY'S STELLAR RECORD WON'T COME TO A LOSS THIS WEEK. WE WILL SEE THE 2ND GREATEST AFC CHAMP GAME IN HISTORY NEXT WEEK IN INDY THIS HAS BEEN PRESCRIPTED. FOLLOW MY ADVICE PATRIOTS+145 AND REMEMBER TO KICK THE BOOKIES IN THE BALLS!!!!

DIRECTLY FROM SIENA'S WEBSITE IM GONNA DROP A DIME ON THEM THEY ARE CURRENTLY -2.5 THIS SHOULD GET US THAT MAKEUP CBB GOY WIN. GOODLUCK FELLAS SEE YA MONDAY!!!
What's not to love? On a night when Siena will retire its first jersey and honor its winningest team, it just so happens its archrival will be in town.
Marist, coached by Siena standout Matt Brady '87, will be looking for its first MAAC win. The Red Foxes have won five of their six games on the road this season and are 6-2 in non-conference play this season.
The Saints have won three of their last four games including an 85-62 thumping of Rider in their most recent outing Saturday. Siena had four players score 15 points or more in that game for the first time since December 23, 2000 (a 107-91 win over Fordham).
The off-court theatrics include the honoring of the 1949-50 National Catholic Invitational Team which posted a 27-5 record. That ceremony will be highlighted by the unprecedented jersey retirement of Billy Harrell's #10. It so happens, the same jersey number was worn by Brady when he played for the Siena Indians. The game will be telecast on ESPNU, part of Direct TV's Satellite Package.
Today, Harrell sat down with members of the press to discuss a variety of topics Fox Coverage
It's the biggest game of the year for siena, with a few added twists...Siena and Marist on Friday the 13th at Pepsi Arena.
