Saturday STAR SELECTION
BOISE STATE -20 over Nevada
The Broncos put their national-best home and conference winning streaks are on the line this Saturday when they host the Wolf Pack. Boise State has won 29 straight in league play and 28 in a row on their blue turf. Now, they are being challenged, with first place in the WAC standings at stake against Nevada. Along with Fresno State, both teams are 3-0 in conference play. The Broncos dropped out of the Top 25 after starting the season with 2 non-conference road losses against BCS bullies, but since then have strung together five straight wins, the most recent of which was a 45-21 decision on the road in Logan last week at Utah State. As for the Wolf Pack, they've played a total of just six games thus far and like the Broncos, got off to a slow start in September. Nevada was crushed in non-conference losses, but has since rolled to three wins in a row. Off last week, the Pack tackled Louisiana Tech in Reno back on October 15th by a final of 37-27.
Wolf Pack RB B.J. Mitchell is averaging 101 ypg, which is tops in the WAC and #23 in the nation. He has been a huge complement to Jeff Rowe who is second in the WAC in passing with 259 ypg. On defense, Nevada is allowing 222 ypg through the air and 144 ypg, while ball carriers have averaged close to four and a half yards per attempt.
Broncos QB Jared Zabransky is getting hotter by the week and earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors last week, as he connected on 26-of-39 pass attempts for 328 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 53 yards rushing on 14 attempts. While some may think Boise State is longer the most feared team in the Western Athletic Conference, they are still a team to be reckoned with. They rank second in the league in scoring with 34 ppg and have the top rushing attack with 201 ypg, good for 24th in the country. In addition to allowing 41 to Hawaii out on the island at the beginning of the month, the stats for the scoring defense in Boise is a bit skewed, and still the program ranks third in the league allowing 28 ppg. The run defense is 22nd in the country as it permits just 109 ypg.
It’s not often that a WAC team swaggers into Boise thinking they have a point to prove or a shot at the conference title. When challenged in such a manner, the Broncos have busted loose which is what we look for here. They have put their early-season struggles behind them and are ready to make a statement. They are a tremendous 13-0 ATS as a conference home favorite of less than 22 points, absolutely obliterating the spread by more than 22 points a game on average. While the wagering public may be impressed by Nevada’s 3-game win streak, we’re not. Beating San Jose State on the road, along with Idaho and Louisiana Tech at home does not make them a legitimate contender in our estimation. They are still a horrible 1-12 ATS as a conference underdog of more than 13 points, including 0-10 ATS all-time in conference play as a dog of more than 13 and less than 25 points. They are also 0-6-1 ATS as a conference road dog of 5+ points and 1-10-1 ATS all-time in that situation.
These teams have played 5 times since 1999, including the last 4 years in a row. In those games, Boise State is 5-0 SU & ATS, winning by an average of more than 40 points and beating the spread by an amazing 24 points a game on average. On the blue turf, the all-time numbers are even more frightening for Nevada, as the Broncos are 3-0 SU & ATS, pounding the ‘Pack by more than 43 points and demolishing the spread by an almost unbelievable 29 points a game on average. Look for Boise State to jump on Nevada early, taking them out of the game before half-time, and cruise to an easy SU & ATS victory.
PROJECTED FINAL SCORE: BOISE STATE 51 NEVADA 17

Atlanta Fixers Pix of The Week
PURDUE +15½ @ Penn St- Heralded runners DJ Dozier & Blair Thomas can’t get anything going on the ground, and the Boiler’s D, led by Rod Woodson, keeps the pressure on QB Chuck Fusina. Head Coach Joe Paterno blows off retirement talk, saying, “It’s 1987, I can coach at least another 20 yrs… Where’s the beef??? We’ll see…
OKLAHOMA +1½ @ Nebraska- The ‘80s is built on dirty recruiting & cocaine, no place more prevalent and/or obvious that ha-what is going on in Norman & Lincoln. Coach Switzer tells Bosworth to go break Turner Gill’s legs, instead he asked Irving Fryar out on a date… Later, Vince Ferragamo actually throws a forward pass, intercepted by seldom-used scrub Mike Babb. The Scooner Sooner prevails…
GEORGIA +4½ vs Florida- Porned-out QB Kerwin Bell defies coach Charlie Pell and runs a jail break passing play, but flea-infested Dawg defender Terry Hoage steps in a snares the int. But Lindsay Scott drops a sure TD as the Gators win a close game by a point… Assistant coach Ray Goff downplays rumors that he’ll be the next head coach of Gardner Webb, instead mentioning his addiction to chicken fingers…
OLE PISS +20 @ All-Barn- The confederate flag-waving Rebel phans go nuts as their stout defense, led by Freddie Joe Nunn & Chuck Commiskey, keep Pat Dye’s Tigers out of the end zone all day. 4 field goals by Neil O'Donoghue allow the Plainsmen(make up your minds) to escape with a close Homecoming victory…
KANSAS STATE +7½ vs Colorado- An injured Solomon Wilcots can only watch as his Buffs blow a huge lead and fall to the horrendous Mildkats in Manhattan. The infallible Steve Grogan leads the Kats on three 4th qtr scoring drives, and coach Ellis Rainsberger gets doused with a cooler containing some bizarre green liquid in it...
TEXAS TECH -11 @ Baylor- Spike Dykes has really gotten this Lubbock-based school on the map of late. His Raiders have slinger Billy Joe Tolliver running the offense & Lemuel Stinson headlining the defense. The Bears counter with Cody Carlson & Mike Singletary, who scouts say will never play a down in the NFL… recently, Bear players were approached by local minister David Koresh about having bible study at his ranch outside of town. No word yet if they have accepted…
SAN DIEGO ST +7 vs The Christ Punchers of Texas- No one east of the Mississippi can stop Aztec WR Webster Slaughter, so why assume the Horny Toads will be any different. Toad DB Lyle Blackwood calls Webster “the best playmaker I have ever seenâ€Â

Doc's Missouri / KU Tilt
The Jayhawks have been in a tailspin as of late while the Tigers got a big win last week. Will these trends continue on Saturday? Doc's has your answer! As always, this play is 100% guaranteed to CA$H or you don't pay. This one looks almost too easy!
Kansas is the play 4*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Doc's CFB Total on the Month
Doc's has the HOTTEST Totals play in quite a while in CFB and it comes right from the Big Ten in Doc's Sports backyard. Doc's has a great angle for this game and they know they will cash the ticket -- bottom line. As always, this play is 100% guaranteed to profit or you don't pay.
Under Purdue is the play
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Doc's SEC Game of the Year
This is the highest rated side play that Doc's will release this week . And you know what that means? Money in your pocket. Doc's is very very confident about this play and they think this big underdog will keep it real close in a low-scoring affair. As always, this play is guaranteed to "show you the money" or you don't pay a dime.

BETTORSWORLD KEY RELEASES
10/29/05
7* Georgia +4 over Florida
What the handicapper needs to determine in this game is, how many points is injured Georgia QB Shockley worth? If he were playing this week, the line on this game would have been pickem, or possibly even Georgia favored by a point. With Shockley out, the game opened at +5.5 and the board even saw a +6 briefly. The early vultures gobbled up the +6 and the +5.5's pretty quickly however, letting the number settle in at 4. We're never thrilled with taking the worst of any number, however, considering the 6 was only briefly available, what we really lost is the +5.5's and the +5's, which are dead numbers and not likely to play into the outcome of our wager. You still need to watch the board and grab the best number you can, but we'll put this play out at +4. Bottom line is, we don't feel Shockley is worth 4-6 points. If you put him on Rice, do you think Rice would be any better? If you put Michael Vick on the Houston Texans, would the Texans be a playoff team? Shockley is no doubt a key player on this Georgia team and may be worth a field goal, but we can't forget that this is a solid Georgia football team all the way around. Particularly on the defensive side of the ball. How about this......Florida has given up 24 sacks this year compared with only 7 total last year. They averaged only 100 total rushing yards vs the likes of LSU, Bama and Tennessee and Florida QB Leak has not only been banged up but is also struggling this year. QB's won't win this game. The Defense will. We like Georgia straight up.
4* Clemson +3 over Ga Tech
What can we say here. This play comes down to two factors for us.
1) our number on the game is PK
2) The dog in this series has covered 15 of the last 16!
This game simply fits the mode. One of the best plays in all of sports wagering is a dog that can win the game outright. You make this play 100 times and you will absolutely win more than 53% of the time. Heck, you would have won 15 of the last 16 in this series. Plus we have a little revenge working for us as Clemson led last year with 4 minutes left only to give up 3 late TD Passes and end up losing the game with 11 ticks left on the clock. Ga Tech 1-7 ATS at home. We like our chances with the visitors here.
4* Nebraska -1 over Oklahoma
As we have said before, revenge only works if the team seeking it is capable of getting it. Nebraska was pounded last year 30-3 in a game they knew they had no chance going in. Different story this year as this Sooner version only a shell of it's former self. We expect a much more focused effort from the top rated Nebraska defense that gave up 41 points and 543 yards to Mizu last week. (Neb defense #1 in sacks this year) We make Nebraska a 4 point favorite here and think they'll get their revenge.
3* So Miss +7 over NC
7's popping up on this game from time to time, but still a play at +6.5. We make this game a pk, however need to use a little caution here as our numbers may not be telling the whole truth. We've got to take a look at the quality of opposition here, which clearly favors NC St. Now if they were BEATING this stronger competition, we'd have something. But they are not. NC St is struggling thru a terrible year and at this point look as though they are looking for a soft spot to lay down and call it a season. NC ST is a dismal 1-8 straight up and 0-9 ats their last nine home games!!! So Miss meanwhile, is 6-1 ats their last 7 and 7-2 ats on the road. They are 4-2 on the year with visions of a Bowl game dancing in their heads. So Miss straight up!!
3* Minnesota +4 over Ohio State
Ohio State has dominated this series going 30-2 straight up against Minnesota. But this year looks to be a year that Minnesota may actually have a shot as they really have a good football team this year with a rushing game that leads the country (going up against a #1 rated rushing D). A few weeks ago Minny went up against then #1 rushing D Purdue and made them look silly. But of course, Purdue was a paper tiger whereas Ohio State is the real deal. Still, we feel Minnesota will be able to put some points on the board here much in the same way that Michigan State was able to do against Ohio State. If you toss out the Penn State game which Minny forgot to show up at, this Minnesota team is one play from an undefeated season as they lost at home to Wisconsin off a blocked punt with 30 seconds remaining. Penn State held Minny to 14 points. Otherwise were looking at 41, 56, 46, 42, 23, 34 points scored in each of their other games. Minny no stranger to the end zone which makes them a dangerous home dog here. Add extra incentive any time you have a team that has been completely dominated in a series, yet actually has a team capable of the upset. They might not get another chance anytime soon so we'd expect Minny to take advantage of this rare opportunity. Minny pulls the upset with a straight up win!
3* Stanford +7.5 over UCLA
Gotta love these live dogs! Especially when they are playing at home getting more than a touchdown. UCLA is undefeated and off to one of their best starts ever. However, they are doing it strictly with offense. They aren't keeping anyone out of the endzone (even Rice scored 3 TD's) and certainly don't figure to keep Stanford out of the endzone. Note, Stanford led Arizona State 45-7 at one point last week. This game has HUGE PAC 10 implications as Stanford sitting at 3-1 in the conference while UCLA is 4-0. A Stanford win makes them even with UCLA in the conference. We make UCLA a 3 point fav here which gives us plenty of room for a cover. Again, what makes this play attractive is the fact that both teams can find the endzone while neither is keeping their opponents out of the endzone. When you have those ingredients in a big game like this, anything can happen and usually does. Including the outright upset. Stanford has won the last 3 at home against UCLA. Let's make it 4 in a row.
3* Northwestern +3 over Michigan
This play would be much stronger had Northwestern not blown Michigan State off the field last week. That blow out takes away alot of the value here as this Northwestern team not sneaking up on anyone the rest of the year. They almost upset Penn State, and have beaten Purdue, Wisconsin and Michigan State in their last 4 games. We also have tons of respect for this Michigan team who quite frankly is only a play here and a play there from an undefeated season. But check Michigans last 5 games. All were won or lost by 3 points or less! See no reason why we won't have more of the same this week as these two teams evenly matched. We make this game a pick em. Schools like Michigan routinely have winning years and go to bowl games. Schools like Northwestern don't. So when the opportunity presents itself, schools like Northwestern need to take advantage. Northwestern sits at 3-1 in the big 10 and 5-2 overall on the year. Big things can happen for this team this year if they can win 3 of their last 4 games. We'll give them a loss at Ohio State but very winnable games against Iowa and Illinois. But it all starts with beating Michigan. In keeping with the theme of the week, teams like Northwestern don't get lots of chances to beat teams like Michigan. So expect them to take full advantage of the rare opportunity as they field a team this year plenty capable of the straight up win. Northwestern has covered their last 4 games while Michigan is 3-12 ats their last 15 as favs.
2* South Carolina +14 over Tennessee
Not a strong call here, but we simply feel 14 is too many. We make this number a touchdown which gives us plenty of room to grab a cover here. Tennessee having a disappointing year after such high hopes before the season started. We rarely back a dog that we don't feel can win the game outright, but such is the case here. We expect South Carolina to hang around in this game, much in the same way they did against Georgia. How about this....South Carolina had a first down edge of 30-14 when these two hooked up last year! Again, it's a weak call, but we just can't pass up two touchdowns when our own numbers say it should be much closer. Spurrier!
