College GameDay in Blacksburg
Took this from techsideline.com. GameDay has gone to Blacksburg three times, two blow-outs of ranked teams (Cuse 16th, Miami 19th) and another cancelled game where Corso's car was torched by lightening. Factor this with a weakened Ball, Hokies looking good.

ESPN College GameDay Coming to Blacksburg
GameDay was originally scheduled to be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the LSU-Tennessee matchup, but Hurricane Rita's presence in the Gulf of Mexico caused ESPN officials to think better of it, be cautious, and move the location. The matchup of #4 Virginia Tech and #15 Georgia Tech proved to be attractive enough to sway the ESPN brass to come to Blacksburg. GameDay was last in Blacksburg for the ill-fated BCA Classic in August of 2000 between VT and GT. GameDay went just fine, but the game itself was canceled due to a strong thunderstorm with severe lightning.
GameDay also made two appearances during Virginia Tech's 1999 run to the national championship game. First the show was in town for VT's landmark 62-0 win over Syracuse, then the crew returned for Tech's 43-10 blowout of Miami later that year.
Ball's Availability 50/50
In other news, Georgia Tech quarterback Reggie Ball's availability for Saturday's game is now pegged at "50/50" by GT coach Chan Gailey. Gailey spoke about Ball at a press conference Wednesday and said that even if Ball plays, he likely won't have the stamina to make it through the whole game.
That's not the Jackets' only problem with player availability. Senior defensive end Eric Henderson, a two-time All-ACC player, didn't play in last week's 28-13 victory over Connecticut because of an ailing right ankle. Gailey listed Henderson as questionable for Saturday against VT. Henderson practiced Wednesday but was limited.
