MARZABARZ, I agree this line is odd. When the game was scheduled at LSU, the Stardust casino opened with LSU -8!! Now that the game is rescheduled at ASU, I could see a 3 or 4 point swing but I am also a little worried that we are being set up for a trap by the wise guys! I am so tempted to take LSU but may just stay away.

Heading out bright and early tomorrow to watch Macho and the Hokies toy with the Dookies (noon starts suck). At least I'll be home in time for the Texas/OSU showdown. Anyway, here are a few plays for Saturday (killing time at work with the write-ups):
Buffalo/Syracuse U 43.5
Not only did Buffalo have 137 yards of total offense at UConn, but they only crossed midfield once on 13 possessions. Syracuse D held WV to 1-14 on 3rd down, only giving up 2 FGs in the game. Orange O had 103 total yards. I don't think Buffalo gets more than 7 this game unless 'Cuse O gives them any), however Orange may try to get the offense going though as UConn put up 38 with the starters sitting most of the second half. Not sure if Syracuse is capable of scoring 35+.
San Jose State/Illinois U 60
WMich/Toledo O 62.5
* 3 of last 4 in this series have gone over, including LY's 59-33 Toledo road win. Score was actually 45-20 at the half. Gradkowski almost perfect LY, 23-27, 3TD/0 INT.
* Last week at UVA, WM started 6 freshmen on defense, including 2 true freshmen at the corners and a RS freshman and a soph at safety. On the ground, UVA averaged 6.1 ypc. Offensively, WM's back-up QB threw for 271 yards. WM had 357 total yards of offense at #25 team, however only got 4 FGs. Hopefully this week they punch those in.
Southern Miss/Alabama U 41 & Alabama -12
Don't usually like to play both sides of a game, but Bama has covered 7 of the last 8 in this series with the last 3 going Under (27-3, 17-3, 20-7). Also, first game for Southern Miss, so I'd expect them to be sloppy.
Texas/Ohio State U 46
First-ever meeting, hopefully they'll be feeling each other out in the 1Q. Last year, Under was 4-1 in Texas' road games, with totals of 42, 12 (OU), 72 (TT), 38, and 50. Under 3-3 for Buckeyes at home last year, with totals of 33, 45, 37, 37, 31, 58. Looking for that 24-17 score.

I love Ohio (E) and Iowa-8 or 9...
VY will have problems in front of that rowdy crowd. when he tries to take off, he will meet the deepest and most talented LB crew in the nation led by AJ Hawk. keep in mind that they practice against a similar QB in troy Smith.
so, you limit Texas playmaker, then you throw in what might end up being the 3 most athletic playmakers on one side of the ball in the entire nation...Ginn Jr., Holmes, and Smith (who is splitting time with Zwick).
if Smith makes all the right plays at first, it will keep the pressure on Texas talented front 4 all game with his ability to convert a demoralizing 1st down with his feet.
this game can actually come down to a single play, perhaps on Special Teams. if thats the case, i like Ginn Jr's. chances of getting a big return like he did against Mich last yr. he already has 4 career returns by his sophmore season (the NCAA record is 8 which already makes him half way there).
this is coming from a huge Mich fan (i really would like to post them also, but they have a way of losing games they should win. which, by the way, they should still blow out a surprising and entertaining ND team. dont play too much in the fact that they didnt blow away a shitty NIU team. they kept the playbook and defensive packages very vanilla waiting for this REVENGE game ( i believe they only blitz a couple of times and kept hart between the tackles. also, they started to go deep in the reserves midway through the 3rd when they had a 33-10 lead. lastly, the ND DB's really arent ready for Avant and Breaston, 2 WR's that will be picked on the 1st day of next yrs draft...
Iowa is set to prove that they are truely national title contenders. they have talent all over the place and take on a Iowa St team that is going to be a little overrated by their strong and surprising finish last yr.
keep in mind that, in the BIG-10, there is so much competition for the Big-10 title, in the hopes of a national championship. they really feel that there are 3 teams that can be there playing USC in the end...MICH, OHIO ST, and IOWA. this explains why they have 3 teams in the top 8 in the polls.
there is also the Purdue factor. they just managed to escape MICH and OHIO ST in the sheduling this yr. so, if they manage a win vs IOWA at home, they can in fact have a great shot at winning the BIG-10 by default.
this gets the other 3 teams to focus on every game like it could ruin their season.

Another full tap of college football. I will try to keep this simple and to the point. A few things stuck out to me after looking and juggling some numbers for this weekend. There appears to be a few trap games and if you see a team that is on this list, use CAUTION !!!
The only games that I will have money on will be indicated with * before the team.
Hawaii + 31.5
60% are on the Rainbows but they keep collecting points. That is a warning sign my friends. I originally liked Hawaii, but will lay off.
Nebraska -6
Same theory, but for some reason, the Huskers lost there home field advantage index on Thursday. I didn't see any injuries and suspensions.
Could be reverse theory on this game.
*Maryland - 2
Here ya go. Vegas is pouncing to make money off of this game. Game opened even, the Terps now fav by 2 and 70% on the Tigers. This games represents a typical Vegas " I'm fixin to take your phuckin money ". I will play small on the Terps. The IPL index says with the opening line at 0 and 70% on the Tigers, they should be favorite by almost 3 points. A big difference my friends.
Those are some of the ones that stick out, but also be careful of the Yellow Jackets and Horned Frogs. TCU and Ga.Tech may have let downs.
My final card will look like this >>
1.) Maryland -2
2.) Wyoming -21
3.) Washington +9
4.) LSU +1.5
5.) Boise St +3.5 $$$$$ Bookie Diamond Cutter $$$$$
And just a side note ******
Ohio State has played 6 night games at the Horseshoe with # 7 coming against Texas Saturday night. The Buckeyes have NEVER lost playing under the lights at home. Just a note !! To close for me.
Good Luck 2 ALL $$$$
And BET WISELY $$$$

Hey Guys,
Here's a solid game imo considering the numbers and that 8 Ball St suspended players. Let's be honest if Bowling Green scored 42 points against Wisconsin then this should be an easy WINNER!!!
Here are some numbers to consider...These figures are all 1st HALF Stats...
Play Against - Home underdogs of 8.5 or more points vs. the 1st half line (BALL ST) - first 2 weeks of the year, after closing out last season with 4 or more losses in last 5 games, terrible team from last season who won 25% or less of their games. (28-6 since 1992.) (82.4%, +21.4 units)
BALL ST is 4-13 against the 1rst half line (-10.3 Units) when they allow 28 or more points over the last 3 seasons.
BALL ST is 2-11 against the 1rst half line (-10.1 Units) when they allow 500 or more total yards since 1992.
BALL ST is 2-10 against the 1rst half line (-9.0 Units) when they gain 300 to 350 total yards since 1992.
BALL ST is 0-6 against the 1rst half line (-6.6 Units) when they are outgained by their opponents by 200 or more yards over the last 3 seasons.
BALL ST is 7-20 against the 1rst half line (-15.0 Units) when they are outgained by their opponents by 2 or more yards/play since 1992.
BALL ST is 0-7 against the 1rst half line (-7.7 Units) after allowing 50 points or more last game since 1992.
BOWLING GREEN is 10-2 against the 1rst half line (+7.8 Units) versus the first half line in all games over the last 2 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN is 20-8 against the 1rst half line (+11.2 Units) after scoring 37 points or more last game since 1992.
BOWLING GREEN is 6-0 against the 1rst half line (+6.0 Units) after a playing a game where 60 total points or more were scored over the last 2 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN is 20-6 against the 1rst half line (+13.4 Units) after gaining 475 or more total yards in their previous game since 1992. BOWLING GREEN is 8-1 against the 1rst half line (+6.9 Units) after gaining 525 or more total yards in their previous game over the last 3 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN is 6-0 against the 1rst half line (+6.0 Units) after gaining 6.25 or more yards/play in their previous game over the last 2 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN is 10-2 against the 1rst half line (+7.8 Units) versus the first half line in all games over the last 2 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN 28.9, OPPONENT 13.3 - (Rating = 1*) BOWLING GREEN is 8-1 against the 1rst half line (+6.9 Units) when playing on a Saturday over the last 2 seasons.
BOWLING GREEN is 7-0 against the 1rst half line (+7.0 Units) in road games after gaining 325 or more passing yards in last game over the last 3 seasons.
All games in this series since 1992 BOWLING GREEN is 3-1 versus the first half line when playing against BALL ST since 1992 Games over the last 3 seasons BOWLING GREEN is 2-0 versus the first half line when playing against BALL ST over the last 3 seasons
I hope that helps.
Lay the Points...BOWLING GREEN -17 1st HALF
Good luck
