Well . .its NFL time again. .I have been watching this line for awhile now.
I am not buying the Patriots being as high of scoring in this game as Vegas would like for us to think. I am going to tease this game and feel like I have a winner on this one. I will always look for Da Greek's imput on this one as he is Mr. MNF!!

Wow, what a comeback by Aggasi (as predicted he outlasted the young fella)...what a great night. Hope you rode with me..Mala tied, the under came in, the soccer 3 teamer came in(again), the Red Sox under came in when it had no bizness coming in, and now I"m on a plane to Vegas.

The numbers say it all.... The Patriots have won three straight home openers and were 8-0 at home in 2004..... 14-3-1 against the spread when fav at home, but only 1-4 against the number in their last five season openers, while the Raiders were 2-6 as visitors last season, 6-10 against the spread. Picking against the spread for a few weeks guys will be tricky, but it is hard not to like the Champs in this one.

Tonight's lock is the New England Patriots, yes - 7.5. But Gotluck, they don't have their coordinator guy anymore Mr. Weis, but Gotluck Tedi Bruschi is out, a couple of other good guys are gone too and have been replaced by inexperienced folk. Bottom line? Don't care. This is still Belichick, Brady and Boston and you just can't hope to beat the 3 B's, not even close. Everyone thinks that Oakland will have something to prove and come in and be hot, but even the change to collins while better than gannon is still a mistake, he's prone to interceptions and is not even as good as the mediocre QB that he used to be. As for moss, the patriots have already drawn up a game plan to make him a non-factor, you can be sure of that. lamont jordon is not a star running back either. so there you have it. my thursday nfl lock is the new england patriots, at 7 or 7.5 and yes, even 8.
don't bet against brady, but that's just my advice
it's good to be back ya'll.

i have been liking the Under alot for a few days now. i like it even better today. small thoughts on that...
* Kerry Collins is historically one of the most inconsistant QB's on the road, especially to start the season (just look at last yr). Billy b will find too many ways to rattle him early
* new offenses (OAK) take considerably longer to gel in comparison to new defenses (NE)
* i see a heavy dose of C DILLION tonight. he is the type of back that gets his yards in chunks and keeps the chains moving, as opposed to someone like Wille parker who can take it to the house on any given play (people might just find this out this week, he actually isnt a bad fantasy play, either).
the plan here is to keep Moss and company off the feild as much as possible so that they wont be able to find their rythm.
* Billy B vs. Norvy T- one is the unpredictable genius and the other is Norv Turner. NT has to be the most predictable Coordinator/Coach in the league.
* last, but definitely not least, 50 is such a nice number to go Under. NE can still win 28-21 (7 total td's) and you cash in.
there is only a couple of things that can scare me about the under
1- Moss
2- new regime wants to establish Brady without Weiss, maybe vertical
3- when we look at the total and anticipate what the score can ultimately be (like i just did) we tend to forget about fieldgoals. either one of these guys can hit it from anywhere in the stadium.
initially, i was going to also play a small play on NE (ml) and the Under in a parlay. i still might. but, if i were to tease this game, i would have to go with more points on OAK side.
NE isnt really a team that tries to blow people away. also, i like that play the same reason why i took Miami +10.5 last yr vs. the PATS...they match up well with them in some areas.
i liked Miami because they had one of the biggest lineups of WR's in the league vs. a depleted and small secondary. (keep in mind that C Chambers plays like he is 6'4", even though he is only 5'11"). having said that, D Thompson scores the winning TD.
if Porter plays (another issue that has me leaning liking the under), they are really big in that department.
so, the UNDER for sure.
small parlay with NE (ml) and the under.
GL to everybody. i really hope that this game starts it off nice for the whole crew.

NFL play... I really like the Under here - how can you not - its the biggest total of the weekend and I just dont buy it... This is going to be doing well to scrape low 40's This should be a top play guys.
