Roll on under 9 1/2 in Cubs/Marlins..Vargas/Rusch.
I like both of these #4/#5 pitchers in this spot. Rusch can throw gems when he wants too and I'll take Vargas's 2.38 road ERA all day. IN addition, Vargas has gone under 3 out of his last 4 starts. One thing that does scare me...last time Rusch played the Cubs he lost 11-1 and got drilled in S. Beach. I'm not very strong on this play, just going 2 units with the house's money. I"ll be back with my GOW tonight.

Pettite won last outting at LA 3-2.
Lowe has a 4.50 ERA at home with 2 losses in his last 3 starts at home he lost badly to Florida, Philly, and St. Louis. The Run Line came in for the visiting game on each occasion.
My take: Stros are right there for playoff contention. The Dodgers are obviously not right in losing 2 of 3 at home to the lowly Rockies. Dodgers aren't that far off from the Pads, but don't seem to be playing with any "heart." I know the oldest cliche in the book.
Anyways..Pettite is averaging just under 7 innings per start on the road this year. I'll take that over the Shaky Lowe any day.
