It's on tonight in the Gold Cup, a biannual soccer tourney. Tonight, the US National team will be facing Costa Rica in a pool play game in Massachusetts at 6:00CST.
US has been hot at home against it's biggest rivals, Costa Rica and Mexico. The national team hasn't lost to either of these two at home in the last 4 years. The Gold Cup is a little more laid back than World Cup qualifying, but it's very important to the US. We are co hosts of the tourney and will try to maintain our defense of the home soil against our big rivals. Here's how I'm playing it tonight:

ok fellas, here's a play for all of you degenerates out there. My buddy's service has over charlotte sting,los angeles sparks game 134 as their total game of the month. I must say these guys aren't bad. I don't know shit about wnba and never bet it but fuck it, i'll roll over for a few units. PUJOLS to have more hits, runs, rbi's than ORTIZ -115
Consider this(much of which I learned on ESPN earlier)...The NL only has 2 First Basemen on the team. Derrek Lee is starting at 1B and Pujols at DH. The only person that can relieve Lee at first is Pujols, which basically means Albert will play the whole game. The only way he doesn't is if Lee plays the whole game at 1B and LaRussa rotates at DH...that WONT HAPPEN. Dusty Baker has told LaRussa he doesnt want Lee to play the whole game which means Pujos plays half as DH and half as 1B.
Over in the AL, they are carrying 3 players at 1B...Ortiz, Konerko and Sweeney. Now we know Papi is starting and is tired from the Derby and all his hacks. He will play no more than 4 innings and probably only 3. Therefore, I'm taking Pujols with at least 4 at bats tonight against Ortiz, who will bat twice at the most!
BTW...small play on the OVER 9 1/2 for 3 more units!!!
I forgot Ortiz was DHing tonight so he may play a bit longer than I earlier thought, although Hillenbrand will come in to relieve him. Pujols should play the whole game and I still love this play.
