I'm playing 2 early dogs today:

I have 3 units on each. One hits and I make money..two hit and it's a real good start to the day.
Armas is a quality pitcher and if Jerome Williams is toeing the hill, you better believe Tony Jr. is gonna get some run support. Let's not forget the bullys. Washington's pen is rock solid with Majeski, Ayala, and Cordero shortening the game to 6 innings. Cubbies on the other hand throw out a who's who of re treads and has beens. Borowski..waived, LaTroy..ineffective and hurt, rookies you've never heard of..gettin pounded. I like the Nats as a dog in this spot.
Atlanta...the falling Phils are in serious trouble. Billy the baby faced assassin calls out his team to the media for not having heart. Horacio as posted last week is a quality pitcher who has been stellar since he came off the DL. Atlanta bats feature the Major league leader in homers in Andruw Jones, the hot hitting rookie phenoms Langerhorns and Kelly J, the consistent and speedy Giles and Furcal still at the top of the order. Atlanta has been on a tear and Philly is free falling. Sorry Phils fans, your boys are gonna lose today.
Roll on ATL as a dog.

This play is part of a trend that is very consistent. Sorry PC, as much as I hate the Phillies, but only playing them, strictly because of this trend.
Very interesting, the only other time this season PHI was in this situation was early in the year. They dropped a couple as a home fave to WAS and then went on a road trip. First game back of road trip they were a home fave to ATL. 2nd game of that series was home dog to Smoltz. With the home fave losing streak at three, PHI was at home on Sat 4/17 favored vs. the Braves with Myers on the hill (vs. hampton...a lefty) PHI won this game in extras but a win is a win, and this one ended their only 3 game home fave losing streak.
Very similar situation this time dropping a couple as home faves in the BOS series, road trip, lose #3 as home fave to ATL, then home dog to Smoltz, then home fave vs. lefty with Myers on the hill.
Ramirez will get ROCKED tomorrow...Phils hit .305 home vs. lefties.
Ramirez won at PHI earlier this year but it was against Gavin Floyd and Ramirez didnt pitch all that great, and he got shelled in his home outing vs. the Phils.
Myers at home vs the Braves is a great matchup. Myers one of the only (Wagner) PHI pitchers who can be solid at home. I know he has been pretty bad last couple home starts but tomorrow should be different. In the 4/17 game where this same trend applied, Myers line was 8.0 ip, 4h, 0r, 5k, 0bb....WOW!!
I think if he does anything close to that the Phils wont need extras this time.
Also Wagners comments should have this team fired up to take a game at home that they should...especially since they havent the last few times...which is the whole point behind this trend.
ATL .233 road vs righties.
This reminds me of the PHI/NYM play the other day (Tejada/Zambrano) where the Mets was the play. s, I am on them. Strictly, only because of this trend.

Alright fellas, we have another play in the road dog trend play, which is very strong this year. It involves the SF/SD game. Here it is...
This is almost scary its the identical situation to the SF/DET game when I first posted this trend.
SF has won 3 straight chances as a road dog in three consecutive back to back games with the next sequential game also being a road dog chance. I think this is 13-2 playing against road dogs in this scenario and I will come back tomorrow and give all the stats.
SF had won 2 straight at MIN and then won another in the first game of the DET series as a road dog 6/17. Next night was Reuter/Johnson and SF got waxed. Fassero/Williams matchup is very similar, and the line is almost identical to that game. SD is just as strong of a play as DET was that day.

The Monarchs and the Sun are killing me! These two teams are playing way above the the rest of the league, which is so uncharacteristic in this league that only has 13 teams! On to today:
