I thought I was done, but I have nailed these NBA Finals, unfortunately not playing every game, so I am rolling with what I have been saying all year long: Spurs over Pistons in the NBA Finals! Well, here it is: the Spurs have one shot to make that prediction come true! My play is:
SAN ANTONIO -240 (Money Line)
Final Score: S.A. 87, Det 82
Opinion (if I must pick a side, it is):
SAN ANTONIO -5

J.D and T.Q will be happy with me.
SPURS - 4.0 + (IT WON'T BE PRETTY LOL)
J.D and T.Q, MRWINSTROL and OTHERS. THANKS FOR A HAPPY NBA SEASON OF PICKS and CONVERSATION. I'll be back to forecast FOOTBALL SEASON but it's time for a vacation in the meantime. NO MORE WATCHING SPORTS until SEPTEMBER. Starting tomorrow at midnight, (assuming the NBA game doesn't go into overtime lol).

I think Spurs cover tonight too - its -5 at present but it will drop - I am sure of that so holding fire just now til I get a better line...
The Spurs have a focus problem this series, they do it only when they absolutely must do it (same could be said for Pistons I guess) Spurs won game 1&2 cause they had to and they were expected to... they went to detroit and everyone knew that they would get bounced out of the palace in game 3 and they did... same in game 4, so the pistons had their full attention and the Spurs produced in game 5... then back to texas we come and I dare say we all thought spurs would win and the spurs thought as much too but they still had the luxury of another game and come the end you could tell they knew it too.
What it comes down to for me is the mental intensity of performing... Spurs put it on in 1&2. Pistons did it in 3&4. Spurs did it on the road cause if they didnt I dont think they'd have won the championship and Detroit Pistons in game 6 same for them.... but each time the mental exertion wore on each team (assuming its a bigger mental effort to win on the road than at home)
I just think mentally, Spurs rebound stronger here. Pistons put everything into that game and won a close battle on frees essentially in last 2mins... Now after doing all that they have to go out and do it again against the best team in the NBA! I just dont think they will have it to give over 4 quarters...
Its like Pop says... aint no tactics involved - its all in the head...
Spurs to win the mind games... tight game, same as in game 6, only it will be the spurs to pull away at the end...
Look to the Spurs to revert to Serious Defence.... Spurs 78-70 (so yeah taking the under to come in for the first time since game 1 )
