A few of my friends and I are tossing around the idea of starting up a poker league. Pretty simple and most of the rules and everything would be voted on. We would play 16-20 weekly games (10-20 unit buy in) and the top 5 finishers would get points based on where they place. There would be a payout to the weekly winners. At the end of the specified time period, the point would be added up and, obviously, the winner would be the guy with the most points. There would be a league fee (200-300??) and that would be divided among the league's top finishers (probabyl top 3). We just thought of this idea and we haven't really gotten anywhere with it so nobody should expect anything. we figure it will be pretty tough to get everyone together on the same night from all over. but we also said that we would have to drop a couple of weeks from everyones records because it is unreasonable to expect everyone to make every week. again, this is all up for debate/voting/whatever.
