2005 Gotpicks Fantasy Football.

INTRODUCTION: Gentlemen (and the rest of ya!), we started a Gotpicks fantasy football league last year with 12 inaugural members. In addition, we learned about the WCOFF a national fantasy football championship that has a 250K first place prize. Anyways, we want to model our multiple leagues after the WCOFF.

HOW DOES IT WORK: Before the start of the NFL season, there will be a live, online draft of all players from the NFL. Don't worry about the dates, we have always worked it out to be convenient for everyone. After drafting, your team will compete in a head to head league with the other 11 members. (12 man league). The season will run weeks 1-14 of the NFL football season. Your team accrues points (see below) and the highest total point in head to head wins. In the 12 men leagues, there are 8 playoff teams. 100% of the money going into the league will be paid out to the league (minus a small donation to Gotpicks. We have done 3 gotpicks leagues so far and the donation is small and minimal. Usually 50.00 per league).

The top 8 teams of ALL gotpicks leagues will play in NFL weeks 15-17 in an all league Gotpicks fantasy tournament. Trophies and prizes are awarded for the top 4 teams in each league..and then we will have another payout for the ALL LEAGUE CHAMPION.

Each league will have a commissioner and a moderator. (Moderaters will be existing members of the Gotpicks 2004 league. They will not be playing, just answering questions and making sure everything runs smoothly.)

For those of you that have played fantasy football..this league is a blast. In addition, you'll probably get more hot Football picks on the message board in your fantasy league than you will in Gotpicks. At least that's holding true in our inaugural gotpicks MLB league.

Here is a cut and paste of the scoring system and league rules. (These rules will be applied universally to all gotpicks leagues)

AFC and NFC Players.

Positions: QB, RB, WR, TE, DST and K.

Transactions: • Lineup deadline is one hour before week's first game.

• Owners may set lineups.

• Owners may not make trades post season.

• Add/drops are handled by a waivers process.

• The waivers process runs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

• The waiver order resets after each weeks' games.

• Dropped players remain on waivers for at least 1 day(s).

• Trades are subject to a 2-day voting period, where at most 6 objections are allowed. Trades receiving more the 6 objections are sent to the commissioner for approval.

• No trades can be made after the trade deadline of 11/22/04.

Schedule: Playoffs start in Week 14 and last for 3 Weeks.

Fees: League Entry Fee: $200.00

Scoring: Head-to-Head, Points Based System.

Ties go to the team with more points from Reserves.

Scoring based on total stats each period.

Scoring for Offensive Categories

FG - Field Goals 3 points

Plus 3 points for a FG of 50 to 55 Yds

Plus 5 points for a FG of 56 to 60 Yds

FL - Fumble Lost, Including ST plays -2 points

Pa2P - Passing Two-point Conversion 2 points

PaInt - Passing Interception -2 points

PaTD - Passing TD 6 points

Plus 3 points for a PaTD of 40 to 99 Yds

PaYd - Passing Yards 0 - 500 PaYds = 1 point for every 25 PaYds

Plus a 3 point bonus @ 300+ PaYd

Plus a 5 point bonus @ 400+ PaYd

Re2P - Receiving Two-point Conversion 2 points

ReTD - Receiving TD 6 points

Plus 3 points for a ReTD of 40 to 99 Yds

ReYd - Receiving Yards 0 - 500 ReYds = 1 point for every 10 ReYds

Plus a 3 point bonus @ 100+ ReYd

Plus a 5 point bonus @ 200+ ReYd

Ru2P - Rushing Two-point Conversion 2 points

RuTD - Rushing TD 6 points

Plus 3 points for a RuTD of 40 to 99 Yds

RuYd - Rushing Yards 0 - 300 RuYds = 1 point for every 10 RuYds

Plus a 3 point bonus @ 100+ RuYd

Plus a 5 point bonus @ 200+ RuYd

XP - Extra Points 1 point

Scoring for Defensive Categories

DFR - Defensive/ST Fumble Recovered (ID/DT/DST) 2 points

DTD - Total Defensive and Special Teams TD 6 points

Int - Interceptions 2 points

PA - Points Against, Total Points Scored 0 - 6 PA = 8 points

7 - 13 PA = 6 points

14 - 20 PA = 4 points

21 - 27 PA = 2 points

Plus a 3 point bonus @ 0+ PA against

SACK - Sack 1 point

Plus a 3 point bonus @ 8+ SACK

STY - Safety 2 points

YDS - Yards Allowed 0 - 99 YDSs = 12 points

100 - 199 YDSs = 10 points

200 - 249 YDSs = 8 points

250 - 300 YDSs = 6 points

301 - 350 YDSs = 4 points

351 - 399 YDSs = 2 points

400 - 999 YDSs = -2 points

So..basically here's how it's gonna roll...

1.)Sign up with Ricky on his sticky and give an email address to send info too.

2.)Once we have recieved confirmation that your playing, we will assign you a spot in a league. (All leagues will fill on a first come, first serve basis.)

3.)You must have your payment in one week before your league drafts..no exceptions.

4.)Regular season of fantasy for each league is week 1-11.

5.)League playoffs are weeks 12-14.

6.)All Gotpicks league playoff (for the top 8 teams from ALL leagues in Gotpicks) runs weeks 15-17 of NFL season.

We hopefully will have a trophy for each league, but I gurantee one for the Gotpicks overall champ.

$50.00 for highest score Weeks 1-17 of fantasy. Those teams who are not playoff eligible can still compete for this prize. SO continue to set your lineup even when the playoffs are running. (Gyphin has the year to date high score with 187)

Note: some of the payouts will be modified to add a pool of money for the all gotpicks tournament. I will post this number as soon as we learn the number of entries.
