I got two MLB plays going for tonight. I am going 7 units on the STRONG play and 4 units on the other.
2005 Gotpicks MLB ATS record:
Sunday: Loss: yanks under 9 2 units
Monday: Loss: Mil/Pitt under 7 1/2 5 units
Monday: Loss: baltimore over 9 5 units
Tuesday: Win: San Fran -160 5 units
Tuesday: Win St. Louis Cards -110 4 units
Wednesday: Win Houston ML +100 3 units
Thursday: Loss KC ML +125 2 units
Thursday: Win SD ML -205 2 units
Thursday: Win Tex over 10 3 units
Thursday: LossSan Fran over 8 3 units
Friday: KC/LA Angels over 10 7 units (STRONG)
Friday: Oakland -127 5 units
ATS RECORD: 4-5 ATS
Units: -2.4 units with juice
Today
1'st STRONG play of the year for my in MLB:
I am STRONG on the LA Angels/KC over 10 tonight. Last year I yelled at anyone who would listen that Anaheim at home can cover the number themselves against the Royals. They did, and put up huge numbers. Isee no reason to not play the over tonight. The same lineup against weak Royals pitching...and a better than average young lineup against the back end of the Halo's rotation with Byrd. KC can hit, and they will get a few against Anaheim. However, the Halos feast on Royals pitching at home and they will tonight.
PLAY OVER 10 with confidence LA/KC MLB
7 untis for me
2'nd Play:
I'm on Joe Blanton (my rookie phenom) and the A's to take it to the D RAYS in Tropicana tonight. Bell is a below average pitcher who couldn't strike out his grandmother. Last year's post all star numbers are atrocious. He averaged about 1.3 hits, .9 walks, and .2 K's per inning. His ERA during this stretch was a little under 6. The A's didn't face Bell, but they would have liked to with his propensity for giving up the long ball in "the Trop." Blanton is a hit or miss tonight. I'm on the hit side. He had a stellar Minor league career and has a huge K to walk ratio that makes me think he might be the breakout pitcher on the A's..not Harden. But being a rookie, I don't know how he handles the lights as firm starter entrenched in the A's rotation. The Oakland bats were encouraging against the O's and I don't think this pitching staff is any better than Baltimore's. I like the A's to win tonight against the pesky rays. (note if you watch this game check out Jorge Cantu for the D Rays, he has looked awful good in spring and this early season.)
Oakland A's -125 ML for me 5 units
Good luck fellas. have a great day and hit whatever your on.

Not bad J.D, not bad if I do say so myself, last night 2 and 1. I really thought New York would come back towards the end and if NJ didn't hit a key 3-pointer, they probably would have won. Oh well. Do you realize that they have lost 8 in a row? I hate to disagree with you regarding tonights game, but I'm going to have to side with Chicago.
I THINK THE KNICKS ARE NOW COMPLETELY DEMORALIZED and have LOST THEIR HEART! I'm looking for a crushing blow tonight by the Bulls, somewhere in the range of 20 points, give or take.
FINAL SCORE: CHICAGO 104, NEW YORK 78
Here are my other wonderful picks for tonight:
PICK! PHILADELPHIA
PICK! ORLANDO
PICK! ATLANTA
PICK! UTAH
PICK! INDIANA (AGAIN)
PICK! MEMPHIS
PICK! MILWAUKEE
PICK! MINNESOTA
PICK! PORTLAND
PICK! LAKERS
PICK! GOLDEN STATE, UNDER
By the way J.D, would you go over or under on the Phoenix Game, (227)? Just curious.

GotLuck, I don't really get into over/unders a whole lot, but I would personally have a hard time betting a PHX Under in any regular season game they play the rest of this year!

Sacramento -4.5 **
Minnesota -2.5 **
Chicago -1.5 *

Been looking long and hard at the Minny-Denver game and now am Upgrading my Minnesota play to a 3*** single...
Just really liking the Twolves right now - this game is an ABSOLUTE must win for minnesota to have any hope of catching Memphis... it would be great if by the time this tips off memphis are losing too... that'd no doubt be related to the players on the scoreboard and the crowd will start to buzz too...
Also playing UNDER 195 *
Tough gritty game (remember the mini-brawl the last game? or was it game before that), not going to be a high scoring affair by any stretch - of my imagination at any rate...
Prediction Score: Minn 96 - Den 90 ... twolves to be just leading down the stretch and to nail it on free throws...

Garbage day for me yesterday! I feel good about today's games, so here we go (I like them in this order):
L.A. CLIPPERS +2.5 (SPECIAL PLAY) (Game of the Week) (I should of had it the other night with the Mavs against the Spurs, but I'll settle for this one here with the Clips playing for triple revenge against a Spurs team that has lost six straight road games and five straight ATS on the road; the Clips are also 8-5 as a home dog, and they have won three straight at home)
DENVER -7.5 (almost made this a SPECIAL PLAY, but the Nuggets burned me against Phoenix a couple weeks ago, so I'll just make this a regular top play)
HOUSTON +6 (like this one a lot as well, but not enough to make it a SPECIAL PLAY)
TORONTO +7.5 (have a feeling that the Raptors might upset the Bulls here)
ATLANTA +8.5 (I'll take one more shot at home with this lousy team that might be the worst NBA team ever, considering they have a demoralized T-Wolves team tonight that most likely will not make the playoffs after the loss to Denver last night; But, how can you possibly lose 27 of 28 games and call yourself an NBA team? this sad franchise has become such a joke in such a short period of time; no first year expansion team should have a better record than you)
Yesterday: 1-4
Win:
MEMPHIS
Losses:
ORLANDO
NEW YORK
WASHINGTON
CHARLOTTE
I tried to be too cute with average and garbage teams (that have struggled recently) against superior teams, and I got crushed. Hopefully, I rebound in a big way tonight!
Post Super Bowl NBA Record: 126-119-5
29-24 (SPECIAL PLAYS)
3-4 (GOW)
0-1 (GOM)
1-0 (GOY)
