What a hell of a day yesterday ...5-1-1 on the golden st/memphis game..Yup, i make a few $$$$..plus i played on my college contest picks... 3-0... more $$$ for my piggy bank. I must be mad... I saw 2 baseball games today... why not... im using the MAN's $$$ now...

Started my posting on a good note going 2-0 yesterday, even calling the 76ers point margin (though they should have won by more than 7 being up 20 with only a few mins left in the third). Hope some people went along with me.
On to the Picks- I've been following SEC Basketball closely for about 6 years now, since I went to an SEC school. GO GATORS. I've got two SEC games tonight
LSU -3 @ Ole Miss
LSU has everything to play for and Ole Miss has nothing. LSU is currently tied with Bama for SEC West Title and are making a strong case to get into the Big Dance. They have the tougest schedule in a very underrated SEC Conference (tied for first with 5 teams in the Top 40 RPI rankings). Look to ride LSU on their 4 game win streak as they cover here.
Kentucky -8 1st half vs Tenn.
So why this game? Kentucky has the SEC East locked up and Tenn has been eliminated from post season play, they have nothhing to play for, right? WRONG, Kentucky wants to solidify their case for a number 1 seed in the tourney and it's Senior Night in Lexington. Chuck Hayes will be playing his last game in Rupp Arena. The players and the home crowd will come out firing and want to send him off with a bang. Kentucky already beat the Vols by 22 in Knoxville(without Hayes in the 2nd half) and they have a +19 point margin at home.
I like the game also, don't be afraid of some Seniors getting garbage time at the end (they only have 2 seniors on the roster), but I'm what I am afraid of is this; If Kentucy is up 18-20 with 4min left, Tubby will take his guys out so they don't risk injury and to rest for the Big Showdown on Sunday in Gainesville. Look for a first half cover with the score being around 42-28.

Another night another loss...I am in a slump! But I will get keep plugging away and hopefully get back on track. Tonight I have three plays I really like. I am not going to go into too much depth but I am on these 3 pretty much equally.
Pick 1
TCU -7.5
TCU is very good at home. They are trying to keep their at-large hopes alive (on life support). S. Florida has nothing to play for.
Pick 2
Auburn +17
IMO too many points in a rivalry game. Auburn would love nothing more to screw 'Bama in this revenge game.
Pick 3
Bowling Green +7
This is purely a system play. BG is pretty solid against the spread and these teams are pretty evenly matched.

So many great games to choose from, it was hard to nail it down... huge card tonight.
1. Georgia Tech +8.5 @ Wake - Line opened at 9.5, already sliding towards GTech - HUGE bubble game for yellowjackets - should be very very close IMO.
2. Tulane +26 @ Cincinatti - These guys just don't care what happens after the game is in the bag. Backdoor Cover City. I hate Cinci.
3. Alabama -16.5 vs. Auburn - 0-2 last two games with tough losses to LSU and KY will have Bama raging mad for their home closer. Auburn has nothing to play for - only a miraculous SEC run will get them anywhere except the NIT.
4. Missouri +8 @ Iowa St. - Iowa State has cooled off bigtime lately and may have been playing a bit over their heads last month. Either way, Missouri is no pushover with some athletic talent (just hasn't nearly reached potential this year) and IMO 8 points is a lot to give when you're slumping.
5. Texas Tech -11.5 @ Baylor - TTech needs every win they can get, and in convincing fashion to make the dance. They need an at large birth because in their conference there is no way they win the tourney bid.
6. Villanova -14.5 vs. Seton Hall - Last home game all season for the Wild Cats. Seton Hall should play in oncoming traffic. If they beat GTown at GTown this w/e with ease, they will crush SetonHall at home.

Other games I like...
7. Texas A&M +13.5 @ OKState - Another huge huge bubble game for A&M - OK state should win but A&M will be blowing their load on the court... should be within single digits IMO
8. Kentucky -14 vs. Tennesee - Senior Night, last home game- Kentucky can only put another nail in the 1-seed coffin with a blowout win tonight and take the SEC tourney easy for the dance.
9. Appalachian St. -8.5 vs. Citadel - Line has slid from 11 to 8.5 so far, - looks like major smart money on Citadel, but this game shouldn't even be close - Blow out for the Mountaneers
10. UCONN-11 vs. Georgetown - UCONN moving up in bracketology - With Home finale vs. Syracuse on Saturday, might be a look ahead game, but can also pad their tourney seed placement; G-town all but out. See ya

As promised, back with a play for the Kansas/Kansas State game tonight. I'm 8-1 ATS on the last 9 straight Jayhawk games playing both sides and totals. Here's what I have for us tonight:
PLAY ON OVER 140
Here's why...
**Senior night at Kansas, the team won't go out flat and will look to put up a big number. Simien, Langford, Lee, and Miles will all play pivotal roles in tonight's high scoring affair.
**Shooting slump of JR Gideons. He is much too talented to stay in this drought for long. The slump continued against Okie State, who had the talent to stop both the inside and outside game defensively. Even with Giddeons shooting blanks, KU put up 81 points against one of the best defensive teams in the Big XII.
**Jeremiah Massey..the big man I've been yapping about all year from K State is averaging over 23 points a game in his last 3. On national TV, he will want to prove he can compete with one of the nation's best Wayne Simien in this game.
**K State will do whatever it takes to make Kansas beat them from the perimeter. I guarantee this. And wouldn't you...in all the games KU has lost, Simien was shut down inside. Tonight, K State will pack it in and make the Hawks shoot 3's. With long rebounds and the rebounding talent of Moody, Simien and the guards, KU will get lots of second chances tonight. I think you'll see KU shoot the rock at will from 3 land to prove they can.
I'm on the over 140 tonight on my KU play.

fellas here's a write up for two games tonight with clippers and lakers. Take the info if you like it.
Dallas at Los Angeles Clippers Game Notes
I have a great deal of respect for Dallas. But as hard as it is to believe, no teams has any business laying this many points at Staples to the Clippers, who are quietly building a very strong home court. Consider that Los Angeles is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS their last six games as a host. Going back further, LA is a bookie busting 12-3 SU and 11-4 ATS their last fifteen games in Hollywood.
This stretch includes wins over Minnesota, Lakers, Miami, Seattle and yes a 97-87 victory over Dallas a 4.5-point pups in late January. In fact, the Clips are a robust 4-1 ATS at home when priced between +3.5 and +6, as well as 7-3 ATS when priced as a home pup of +6 or less. For the season, they are 19-10 SU and 18-11 ATS an Tinsel Town.
Why are getting such tremendous value today? Well, we have to remember these are the Clippers, a team that does not exactly have a loyal national following or armies of bettors waiting to play them. To the unobserved eye, these look like the same old sorry Clippers team we have seen year after year with their 25-32 SU record. But that poor mark stems from their atrocious 6-22 SU record on the road. As we just showed, though, Mike Dunleavy’s bunch is having no problems defending their home turf.
It also helps that LA is going against a team that has always been a bettors’ favorite in Dallas. And we will concede that the Mavs are playing well of late and especially on the road. But it is precisely because of their recent play that DAL is in large part priced so exorbitantly high here (and like we said, it doesn’t hurt that they are playing the Clips!).
But DAL is also 0-2 ATS their last two games and already lost at Staples here to LAâ€â€

I know 26-26-1..SUCKS.. but i was hot early on and had a very good start then hit a bad streak and decided not to post for a while. I know very damn well some people follow the cappers on this board and I know when not to posts when im down... OK, ok, ok... i thought Ricky like my writing style on here just to get some laughs but i guess some of you DONT LIKE IT... ok ill just write normal like all of you... man cant have any fun in here anymore!!! OK.. SLAM .. I GOT IT.. no quarters bets will be counted.. so i wont post them anymore.
